    Panang Curry

We were visiting Fairbanks and after a day of sightseeing we were really looking forward to having Thai food. Upon entering the restaurant, I was impressed with the ambiance. The food here was so delicious! We brought a bottle of wine to pair with the food and started with the Crab Rangoon. They were creamy and the dipping sauce was a hit, though I felt it needed more crab. I really enjoyed the Pad Cashew entree and my husband had the Panang Curry. I had the leftovers the next day, still so tasty! I would totally go here again.

A very strange location for a Thai restaurant but the food was pretty good, especially for Fairbanks standards. I had the Tom Kha soup on a very cold day and it was the perfect way to warm up. Would have preferred it had some additional veggies (like tomatoes) in it other than just mushrooms and onions, but the broth was pretty good and the chicken was hearty. Service was quick and attentive. The restaurant layout is a bit strange in that the minimum table size is for four, but there were many guests dining alone at these four tops, myself included.

Clean, beautiful and well decorated. Friendly staff. Large menu with lots of options. The food was exceptional. We ordered crab puffs & milk Thai to start. The puffs were filled with imitation crab and cream cheese. Warm and oozing when we dipped into the sweet and sour sauce with peanut crumbles. What an excellent start to our meal. Followed by pad Thai that was warm and hit the spot. Next time I will ask for some heat because I like mine more spicy. We ordered pineapple curry with a vibrant red sauce. Cool and spicy combined beautifully to make this dish our absolute favorite. Served with a huge mound of white rice. This dish was the one that converts a person to a Thai food lover! Do yourself a favor and get to this restaurant now. Order a curry and have a fabulous day!!!!

Came here for lunch on a Sunday evening. The location is good, right in downtown Fairbanks with street parking. The atmosphere was relaxed and not too crowded, which made for a pleasant dining experience. We ordered the Pad See Ew and fried rice. Both dishes tasted good! The noodles were the standout. Next time I might try a spicier option now that I know what to expect. Presentation was clean and appealing. Overall, a solid spot for Thai food in Fairbanks. I'll definitely be back!

I absolutely loved this restaurant! All the food was full of flavor. The Spicy Catfish was soft, tender, and the crispy basil and bamboo put this dish to the next level with textures and flavors. The Pineapple Curry was sweet, well spiced, creamy, and paired really well with the rice. The Pumpkin Stir Fry was my favorite here! Def get it with the pork. The Thai Iced Green Tea was perfectly sweet. The food all came out at the same time, making for a grand feast. I loved the vibes here with lots of seating and vibrant decor. The staff were friendly and quick.

Lunch at the Bahn Thai restaurant with a small family group was excellent. The interior is well decorated and the service was fast and friendly. We had a variety of Thai dishes that were all excellent. Each were good portions, well prepared and seasoned. I had my usual Tom Yum Seafood Soup Thai hot. It had large portions of shrimp and vegetables in a tasty broth that was seasoned perfectly and just the right amount of hot. The others had a variety of dishes and everyone said that they were very delicious and well prepared. They have seating for many diners and would be good for families and groups. I highly recommend this restaurant for excellent Thai cuisine that will not disappoint you at reasonable prices.

Most authentic tasting Thai food in Fairbanks. If you want Panang curry that tastes like Panang curry, rather than tasting like peanut sauce, come here! Delicious crab rangoons!!! The grilled meat dishes are perfectly charred on the outside, prepared similarly to Vietnamese rice dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant. The service is prompt and friendly. Highly recommended!

Convenient Thai food in a beautifully decorated space in downtown Fairbanks. Spring rolls are a bit dainty but very good, and the pad pla dook (spicy catfish) was solid. Did not have space for pad thai or pad kee mao or curry or anything else so this review is somewhat incomplete. They are a bit shorthanded but they actually handled things very well-- they got busier as the evening went on which is always a good sign!

When we arrived, the restaurant filled with the Northern Thai style decoration by fancy wood carving. Services are so great with friendly waiter, Mai who made our meal were memorable. The food is so great. Tastes like Thai food I ate when I was growing up. So authentic! The owner was so nice to us as she came out to say Hi too.

My favorite Thai food place in Fairbanks! Great service and decor. The green curry with pork is my favorite. It has a good amount of heat and freshness to it.

While not our favorite Thai place in Fairbanks the food is good and the atmosphere is pleasant. If you're looking for a warm place for lunch during the winter Fairbanks this is a good option. We had the Drunken Noodles, Pad See-Ew, and Eggrolls. We both felt the noodle dishes we ordered were a little on the dryer side than we prefer, and some of my seafood in the Pad See-Ew was a bit overcooked and chewy.

The staff in the restaurant were nice and we were able to get seated right away during dinner hours. The decor inside was very simple and casual. We ended up ordering chicken satay and egg rolls as appetizers, which both were decent. For entrees, we ordered pineapple fried rice (which you have to ask them to add pineapple to the fried rice item on the menu), beef massaman curry, tom kha gai soup (one with coconut milk), and drunken noodles with chicken. All the entrees were also pretty decent and flavorful, although I did find most of them to be on the saltier side. The meat in the massaman curry did also taste super soft but almost in a canned meat kind of way. We were also served water but everyone in our group felt like the water tasted weird, almost like there was some kind of cleaning supply or chlorine type after taste. We saw that they put lemons but there were no lemon taste in the water. We were all concerned by the taste and ended up not drinking any of the water (despite the food being salty and we really needed some). Overall, not a bad spot outside of the water situation, but not a spot I'd necessarily recommend given the price of dishes and value.

Because we were the first few in the door, our entrees arrived sooner than others who came after. I was disappointed with the Thai iced tea, it lacked tea flavor and was more of condensed, excessively sweetened milk drink. I could only finish 1/2 and poured out the rest . We ordered 3 dishes and the portions were generous such that we had leftovers the next day. 1. Veggie Tom Yum Soup - was OK but I've had others with better flavor and wouldn't order this again. 2. Chicken pad Thai was the best dish of the bunch but it was very skinny rice noodles. It tasted better as next day leftovers after the flavors marinated overnight. 3. Pork green curry was watery and not green but looked more yellow. We had yellow curry at a Thai restaurant days earlier and thought that curry tasted more authentic and wasn't watery. Overall nice staff with average food.
