Pad Thai
McKenzie P.

The absolute fastest service! Food was super hot and tasty. We got pad Thai, drunken noodles, and crab rangoons. All were awesome.

Pad Thai Tom Kha Penang curry

My sister and I visited from California and Florida and we were getting a little disappointed with the Fairbanks cuisine. That's UNTIL we found this little culinary gem. From the moment you enter, you are greeted with warm hospitality, and the tantalizing aromas that waft from the kitchen leave you eager to explore the menu. With its authentic flavors, attentive service, and cozy ambiance, this place is a must-visit for anyone seeking a flavorful Thai dining experience.

Drunken noodles on left and pad thai on right

Super friendly lady working there who made me feel very welcome as a new customer. I ordered the pad thai medium which I feel I could have done hot, and it was yummy. The drunken noodles were one of the best I've ever had, I loved the big pieces of Basil and it was all cooked to perfection, got the medium spice which was perfect for this dish. Both dishes had tons of protein and were huge portions so definitely worth the price!

Panang curry Lunch

the food here is delicious it definitely makes up for the creaky sticky chairs in the restaurant but it's definitely a small vibe Alaskan restaurant. The pannage curry (What I belief it was called) was deliciously creamy and thick. It was based with peanuts and coconut milk. If you don't like peanuts sauce then you will not like this because it taste exactly like that. Personally I would have liked more chicken in the curry because there was only a few pieces. Additionally the hot was not very hot at all but that's a personal preference. The service was alright, my water cup was never filled up but the food came out on a quick manner.

Thai BBQ, Thai Ice Coffee

I got the Thai iced coffee which is always creamy and sweet, very good. For the main dish I ordered the Thai BBQ with Pork with the spicy level of Hot. It was very good the sauce on it was very tasty and the spicy level was perfect for a nice kick to it! I'm not usually a fan of Thai food but this dish was delicious!

Pad See Eww

Me and a friend came 15 min before closing and they were very kind to accommodate our take out order. I got the pad see eww extra hot (4/5 spicy), the noodles are a little tough but overall the flavor was great. I don't think it was that spicy but my tolerance is high (so I'm told), I think for most people hot or extra would be more than enough, especially if you're getting a curry.

Mild Tofu Pad Thai. Delicious!
Alexia K.

Very nice little place to eat. Warm staff who serve delicious pad thai that is super hot and ready to be devoured. The interior was nice and clean, even kinda fancy with the white table cloths. It turned out to be a great place to go for and date. My husband enjoyed a thai chicken salad - #13 on the menu (I cant remember its name). He got it with medium spice which really complimented the salad. I had the tofu pad thai - mild - and even my hubby was stealing the tofu off my plate (he normally doesn't like tofu). We had a great experience and will definitely come back - next time I plan on taking advantage of their outside seating.

Pad woon sen

Stepped off the plane from anchorage and needed to eat something as I didn't have breakfast this morning. Most places are closed, however this place was not and has good reviews. Now I know why it has good reviews. Very good little restaurant. Our service was great and she saved us from ordering a dish too spicy. I love spicy food but had I ordered the level 3 spice it would have been too hot to finish. When they say spicy it's no joke! The service was also very quick, we placed our order and it was at the table in about 5 minutes or so. We started with the fried veggies appetizer and it was good. Came with a sweet sauce. I had the pad woon sen and it was delicious. Husband had the pad se eww, he liked his as well. Highly recommend coming here

My new favorite Thai place. Everything I've ordered here has been great, worth driving across town for. Love the curries and pad Thai.

Best pad Thai in town. Don't let the building scare you. This is my Pad Thai go to and everyone who I brought here agrees!

Enjoyed all the dishes we ordered. :) Service: Food took a bit to arrive but considering how busy they are, it is understandable. Very good service by our hosts who patiently responded to our queries on shellfish allergies and spice levels. Thank you so much Koi, Bambi and team! :) Ambience: Nice decor with musical instruments, interesting paintings that remind you of Thailand and they have paid good attention to details on their tables, mats and the menu. Casual chatty vibes too. All good. Restrooms: Clean and well maintained. Parking: No issues at all. Plenty available!

Ordered Pad See Ew with Beef, Gaeng Pa-Nang with Halibut, and Pad Plick Khing with Halibut. Although I thought this was very good, I didn't think it was better than the other Thai restaurant that I had been to earlier in the week. Food was just missing that little something that would make it truly elite. I will give credit to the Mango Sticky Rice though, that was great. Staff here were really friendly. Took care of our orders quickly because we got here right before the kitchen was about to close. Also filled our water quite a bit. Lemon Grass is still pretty good, glad I tried it.

The staff in the restaurant were nice and we were able to get seated right away during dinner hours. The decor inside was very simple and casual. We ended up ordering chicken satay and egg rolls as appetizers, which both were decent. For entrees, we ordered pineapple fried rice (which you have to ask them to add pineapple to the fried rice item on the menu), beef massaman curry, tom kha gai soup (one with coconut milk), and drunken noodles with chicken. All the entrees were also pretty decent and flavorful, although I did find most of them to be on the saltier side. The meat in the massaman curry did also taste super soft but almost in a canned meat kind of way. We were also served water but everyone in our group felt like the water tasted weird, almost like there was some kind of cleaning supply or chlorine type after taste. We saw that they put lemons but there were no lemon taste in the water. We were all concerned by the taste and ended up not drinking any of the water (despite the food being salty and we really needed some). Overall, not a bad spot outside of the water situation, but not a spot I'd necessarily recommend given the price of dishes and value.

They put a lot of beef, but the beef is a little on the chewy side. The tom yum is a bit salty for me. It would be better to eat with rice instead of drinking the soup on its own.

Ordered the Halibut Egg Rolls, Panang Curry with Halibut (which is not a normal menu item), Chu Chee Pla with Salmon, and Pad See Ew with Beef (which I have to order at every Thai restaurant I go to). I must say, this was up there with some of the best Thai food I've ever had. Not everything you see halibut in egg rolls, but I had to get it. the panang curry was up there with some of the best panang curry I've ever had, and it came with a fairly hefty portion of halibut. Chu chee pla was good, although it tasted a bit similar to the panang curry. Pad see ew was very good, and it was quite a huge portion as well. Staff here were very friendly despite being extremely slammed. There were only two people taking care of the entire restaurant and one cook in the back. Despite all that, the food came out at a fairly reasonable pace. Much kudos to them for working so hard. Really enjoyed my trip to Bahn Thai. I guess there really is elite Thai food up in Fairbanks!

We got the halibut egg rolls, which was freshly fried and a bit more refreshing than a regular one because of the halibut. The ginger fish dish comes with either halibut or salmon. We opted for salmon and it was overcooked but the ginger sauce was very good. Once we broke down the salmon to soak up the sauce, it was tastier to eat. There were 4 small pieces. We also appreciated the loads of vegetables that come with this dish - strange how much we appreciate veggies in AK. We wonder if the traditional Thai dishes are the way to go here, but our meal was still good.

Because we were the first few in the door, our entrees arrived sooner than others who came after. I was disappointed with the Thai iced tea, it lacked tea flavor and was more of condensed, excessively sweetened milk drink. I could only finish 1/2 and poured out the rest . We ordered 3 dishes and the portions were generous such that we had leftovers the next day. 1. Veggie Tom Yum Soup - was OK but I've had others with better flavor and wouldn't order this again. 2. Chicken pad Thai was the best dish of the bunch but it was very skinny rice noodles. It tasted better as next day leftovers after the flavors marinated overnight. 3. Pork green curry was watery and not green but looked more yellow. We had yellow curry at a Thai restaurant days earlier and thought that curry tasted more authentic and wasn't watery. Alone it was kinda bland but with the sauce it was actually very good. I ordered the pad Thai with chicken. Honestly the flavor is very good but it was very unfortunate that the chicken and tofu came out very dry. Had it not been for that I would have given my dish an 8.5/10 but because of it unfortunately I can only give this a 6/10. My buddy got the pad kee ma ( drunken noodles) with chicken and again the chicken was very dry. It was also just kind of a bland flavor. Just a little disappointing. If they maybe added some garlic and a little more sauce I think it would have really elevated the dish. One thing I really like was it seemed like all the sauces were house made which is fantastic. I would still come back here to try some other food. But hopefully they can just get the meat to not be so dry.
