Excellent Thai food at this unassuming location in Fairbanks. Decor isn't special, but our red and green. Heroes were fantastic.

Siam Square was not very good at all. It is located in an office-like space inside a building, and the interior was not well kept up. To top it off, the prices are quite expensive for what you get. The food really missed the mark. Pad Thai noodles were very mushy, and the sauce was way too sweet. Meatball Pho had a strange, slightly off taste that just didn't seem right. I'd skip the complex noodle soups and stickier noodle dishes in favor of a basic fried rice or a standard curry which might be a safer bet. (Check out the attached photos to see the space and the menu pics for pricing). Pro Tip: Because it's tucked away inside an office complex style building, it is a bit confusing to locate from the parking lot, but just follow the signs. To their credit, operating a Thai and Vietnamese fusion restaurant in interior Alaska means higher ingredient import costs. Because delicate rice noodles, fresh bean sprouts, and specific herbs like Thai basil or cilantro cannot be grown locally during the harsh sub-zero winters, restaurants have to fly them in or transport them up via the Alaska Highway which explains the higher prices. read more

On a Friday afternoon, my group and I were greeted by a friendly, female server who allowed us to choose where to sit. The inside of the restaurant appeared casual but their seats were comfortable and tables were clean. As I looked through the menu, it was the first time I have seen pho offered at a Thai restaurant. My dad was curious about the Thai version of the Vietnamese soup, so he ordered the Pho with Chicken. The pho was also served with fresh basil, bean sprouts, and chopped peanuts. He thought the broth tasted good even though it was not the authentic kind. My mom loved her Pad Thai with tofu, while my sister enjoyed her Pad Z Ew with tofu. I ordered the Pa-Nang curry with chicken which came with rice and loved how it had a mild spice with a hint of coconut milk flavor but was tasty. I was also surprised at how generous the portions were considering the items were from their lunch menu. Important things to note: -I recommend dining in during the early afternoon because it did get busy at mid-afternoon. -Dine-in ends at 8:30pm but they will accept take out orders until they close at 9pm. -To enter the restaurant, you have to go through the Regency Court Mall first. -They are closed on Tuesdays Thank you to the staff at Siam Square for providing Thai food that resembles a home cooked meal. read more

Love eating here!!! Pho is this best I've ever had! The dining area feels super close to home! And the service is always amazing!

Their pho. I literally could eat it every day. It is flavorful and packed with vegetables and crushed peanuts and cilanto and another minty tasting leaf. Their beef salad. So tender and flavorful. Ask for cabbage and you can make tacos out of it. Their fresh rolls. So fresh you have to wsit for them to put together. Just lots of food to the point I think they need to up their prices. I've eaten Thai food on every city I've traveled to, and I REALLY enjoy this place. Usually Thai food joints give you bland boiled chicken in your dishes/curry, but not here. Juicy grilled chicken in the Panang curry was DELICIOUS. For my Caucasian's the food does run slightly spicy 2-3/10 so don't ask for any additional spice. Love this spot very gooooood read more

Most AMAZING Christmas dinner for our family! We ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, Beef Pho, Side of noodles with sauce for the littles, Taro Boba, Thai Tea, and the spring rolls. We were looking for a well rated restaurant after shopping at Costco. This restaurant is right across the street. This restaurant is just ok. I wouldn't have high expectations if coming here, the food is a mix of Lamb chops and American food, Vietnamese Deep Fried Chicken Wings, Pad Thai, Chinese Wonton soup and Thai food. Delicious food, awesome people and great service. I wish, we had found them sooner. The first time we visited them was a day before we were supposed to leave. The food they served was authentic (thai) and customized to suit our needs (vegan). They noticed a baby with us and got a toddler chair, water cup and cut fruits to keep her busy. The server was welcoming and allowed our baby to play around. It felt like we are visiting a home than a restaurant. We ordered veg gyoza, veg drunken noodles with fried tofu and green curry with tofu. The next day we ordered from the lunch menu: veg delight and spicy fried rice. Everything was great and customized for our liking. One of the better Thai food we had in all of USA. The prices are pocket friendly, the place is clean and warm and they know you are here for catching Aurora. So they guide you where to go and the time you would expect to see the northern lights. Full marks for their hospitality and food. I loved the place and I am sure you will too. Give them a visit while you are in Fairbanks. read more

I came here a little suspicious of strip mall Thai food in Alaska, but was thoroughly blown away by the portions and the awesome flavors of this food. We ordered the chive dumplings as an app and those were just ok. The pad si ew as a dish was awesome. The highlight being the really fresh slightly chewy noodles. We also ordered the green curry. This was some of the best curry I've ever had. Spicy and complex flavors that tasted so fresh. I absolutely have to go back to this small Thai place in Fairbanks. read more

Interesting place. Mom and pop restaurant and menus do change depending on ingredients. While traveling, I had a sudden craving for fried fish dish-thai style. Came here and saw that it was only available during dinner. It was lunch time but they still were able to put in the order for me. While I was there, the lady was the cook, waitress, and busboy. Wasn't crowded. Off season. Fish was fried and crispy. But was too sweet for my taste. I did see few customers go in and out. They all ordered the seafood noodle soup dish. Had an extra day in Fairbanks before leaving on a Princess cruise tour, and we're looking for a place to eat after spending the morning at the Museum of the North. Stopped in here and had an excellent lunch. Steamed dumplings and crab Rangoon were big hits with the appetizers. Pad Z Ew and yellow curry were standouts of the 4 entrees we shared. While I lived in AK I would eat here once a week as this is the best Thai restaurant not only in Fairbanks, but of all the other places I have lived to include food destinations like Boston, MA, and Portland, ME. I have not found a Thai restaurant that lives up to Siam Square. I greatly miss the Spicy Basil Leaves and Fried Rice with tofu Thai-Hot. I am considering getting plane tickets and coming up to Fairbanks just to eat here. It's that outstanding! PS. Im a Chef, and I'll take a big old bite of humble pie and say I can't even live up to their Spicy Basil Leaves, which I get close, but not quite like they do it. My favorite place for Thai food! The atmosphere is kind of odd when you walk in. There's a few shelves of items you can buy, a kitchen you can see into, and cactus wallpaper. Don't let that away you! The owners are wonderful people and remember you when you come in more than once. Very friendly! The food: The Pa Nang Curry comes with veggies in it (other places don't) and it makes it much better. I usually order mild curry, but it still had a little kick of spiciness to it. Very creamy. Rice is an extra $5, but it's much better in top of rice. Pho with chicken is perfect when I want something lighter or feeling sick and want a little more than just plain chicken noodle soup. They serve it in large bowl, I always end up taking home enough for another full meal of pho chicken! I used to order the prawns with mixed vegetables. It's been awhile, but the prawns were prefect. The veggies come in a soy-like based sauce. The spring rolls (and fried rolls) with sweet chili sauce is fantastic. I would order the rolls just for the sweet chili sauce! I eat a lot of Thai and normally judge a Thai restaurant based on the pad Thai. I got two dishes for take out, the pad Thai and drunken noodles. Pad Thai was mediocre. Very dry and not much flavor. The drunken noodles had good flavor and lots is sauce but the noodles were way over done. The Thai iced tea was verrrry sweet, too sweet if you ask me. Inside is very cramp and old style but the food was good. The waitress didnt even take our order, but the old owner i think, did. My hubby got their fried rice, best one I've tasted so far, and i got my all time fav lao khaopiak since no restaurant I've ever went served it. This was the third Thai restaurant I went to in Fairbanks and I've finally found great Thai food. I've tried Bahn Thai and the highly rated Thai House. The other two wouldn't make my food Thai Hot as requested and the taste was ok. I grew up eating awesome Thai food in Hawaii and with Siam Square, I've finally hit the jackpot. I don't understand the other reviews. Thai food in general is not cheap, and I found the prices to be reasonable and the flavor of their food is authentic. Third Thai restaurant we have gone to on the Fairbanks Area. They have bubble tea which is a bonus. Prices were reasonable. Food was tasty and spicy. My wife got pad garlic and I got green curry. Both dishes were fresh, but the new cook burned the garlic on one dish. Overall, prices are reasonable. Some reviews state it is expensive, but for Alaska the price is spot on to the area. read more

We came to visit alaska and see the northern lights. We tried this place our first night and ended up eating here 2 more times. The pad woon sen with seafood was so delicious. We got it all 3 times. The pad tai was also sweet and satisfying. The tom yum soup was amazing. All the seafood with a kick blended so well. The owners are so friendly. They were the main reason we kept coming back. Very genuine and friendly. If we ever come back to fairbanks, this will be our main place to eat. read more

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the country! The decor is divey. When you enter you'll see what look like aisles in a small grocery store, but the food is legit. I've had their curries each time and they're delicious. I like my Thai food spicy and they really deliver here when you ask them to up the spice level. I love Vietnamese pho. I mean LOVE it. So when I saw it on the menu of this Thai place I had to give it a try. Not bad! I can't put my finger on what is different but it wasn't exactly authentic. Came with usual condiments of basil, cilantro and bean sprouts but had lemon instead of lime and also came with crushed peanuts on the side. Again, pretty good and definitely fixed my pho craving. Gets 4 stars because $13.95 for pho is ridiculous, even for Fairbanks! Makes me wonder how they do on Thai food! I will definitely come back again and try other dishes. read more

The general decor and ambiance wasn't very inviting but I know some of the best places to eat are hole in the walls. Their was a language barrier on what we ordered versus what we got but no big deal they took care of us. The Red Curry was pretty good spice levels are authentic if you know how to order. The PanNang Curry was absolutely amazing hands down some of the best I've eaten. Udon noodles we're perfectly cooked and delicious. I wouldn't say they were the best Thai I've every had but certainly not the worst. Price was a little higher than I'm use to. I will say they were very nice and accommodating. Right as you walk in you think you are in the back room of the second hand store in Chinatown and you are immediately grabbed by the homie feel and relaxed atmosphere. Everyone that works there is happy to see you and our little waitress could not have been more pleasant or attentive. The massaman curry was outstanding and the Pad See Ew was warm comforting and plentiful. For two bucks you get bottomless rice. If I lived here we would be at this place a couple times a week. Got the fried spring roll appetizer and was really underwhelmed for the cost... 5 small rolls with hardly any filling... would recommend trying other appetizers.
