This place has the freshest most delicious burritos I've ever eaten. And I've eaten thousands. They have this incredible hot sauce made from habaneros. Pinto beans, black beans, brown rice, Spanish rice ... there is something for everyone, including vegans and vegetarians. We always stop off here on the way to and from Oregon. I have experienced only the fastest, most courteous service here every time even when they were very, very busy, and the carnitas are to die for! Maybe previous reviewer had a bad experience, had expectations exceeding the realm of fast food (hey it is fast food not a 5-star restaurant with valet parking in the tenderloin district )...whatever, but I would definitely recommend this place. I had lunch on Sunday, the flavor of the food was good, but the buck stopped there. I don't mind paying $4.99 for a bean & cheese burrito, but I do mind being charged extra for "beans". The server began by going for a package of smaller diameter tortillas, I didn't mind because I only wanted beans & cheese anyway. Next using a 4 ounce ladel she poured about 2 ounces of pinto beans, and 2 ounces of black beans. Seeing such a chincy portion I asked for more beans only to discover,at the register that I had to pay an additional 80 cents. If buying a $1.00 burrito like you get at Taco Bell I could understand, but when you're paying 5 bucks for a bean & cheese burrito while only being served 1/2 cup of beans; that's not ok! But the worst part of all two female employees were talking so loud it hurt our ears, and one of them sounded like the hispanic version of Fran Drescher. Funny part was they were screaming to each other about which channel to have on the TV. One final note Baja Employee's, while some of us may appear to be white you shouldn't assume that means they can't comprehend Hispanic language. The customer is what keeps your business thriving... My Yelp! First impression: Very clean. Nice, modern decor. Friendly staff. Promptness of service: Very quick, although no one else was in line. Friendliness: Very polite. 5 stars for the Baja Fries. Not hugely advertised, but hugely delicious. I get Carnitas on mine every time, and they are amazing. They're around $10, so they're kind of pricey, but they come with free chips and a small cup of gross salsa. Worth every bit of the diarrhea. read more

The other staff called someone to help me: "it may be your last day but you still have to work." She walked out, began putting beans into a to go container for my burrito bowl. The beans were very watery and went over the side of the container, so it looked pretty unappealing. The person helping me seemed generally unhappy. All the toppings had a spoon to use to put them into the meal, except the cilantro for which she used her bare hands. Given I hadn't seen her wash her hands, and how generally unhappy she seemed at her job, I didn't trust she'd watched her hands and so opted not to complete the order. Maybe it's normal to not use a spoon for the cilantro, but the food didn't look good overall and I just didn't trust things were being done right. I mentioned this to my mom later on and she'd had a very similar experience but the woman helping her had touched the food with visibly dirty hands/fingernails. read more

I had 2 beer battered fish tacos. Over-all the tacos were decent, but the fish was kinda sad. No crunch to the batter and I have no idea what kind of fish that was. My only complaint is they are inconsistent in serving sizes depending on who you get as a server (eg sometimes my beans on my burrito are plentiful sometimes pitiful)...but always DeLish!!
