I love their Ensenada Style Tacos here. It's a great place for lunch. The service is always great and they deliver top quality every single time. Inside the restaurant they have television screens, beer, a salsa and condiment bar (so good). Outside is if you want more sun, they do have umbrellas so they make it very convenient for everyone. If I could eat here every day, I would ;)

I stopped by randomly on a Wednesday lunch hour to try this place out. This place was busy but chill inside. The guy taking my order was friendly from the start. The tacos were really good and so was the salsa. I give a B+ grade for overall and I will be back soon for more!

I was hungry and saw this restaurant and went inside to check it out. It was similar to a Baja Fresh but better. I ordered a fish burrito with pinto beans, rice, and guacamole and I loved it. The fish was blackened so it gave the burrito a nice savory taste with a little bit of spice. Service was good but the clerk was a little forgetful when we received our order. She had forgotten to give us our sides' sauces we paid for and sour cream. Other than that she did a great job with the order. Nice place with a cool vibe. Easy parking is located in front of the restaurant. Prices were decent and the quality of the food ingredients was excellent. The The bathroom was clean but full of water on the floor which made it dangerous to walk. Other than that, I will dine here again if I am in the area and try more food items.

Second time here and it did not disappoint! Tacos are made fresh and you can taste it! The ribeye taco was tender, juicy, and so flavorful. The guacamole was fresh and light. Service is quick and super friendly. Inside was clean and there's tables inside and out.

Saddest $8 taco of all time

This place used to be great. They are starting to cut corners and make everything worse. They discontinued the incredible blackened chicken. The new chicken is dry and unseasoned. I got a special of the day taco for $8 and it was a single piece of unsalted unmarinated steak. Nothing on it no flavor. The worst taco I have ever had in my life. R.I.P. to one of my favorite spots

Fresh quick well prepared delicious coastal Mexican food. Tacos burritos salads plates appetizers. Salsa bar in a beachside ambiance. Counter service and food is delivered to your table. Quick and efficient, clean dining room.

TL;DR - best Baja style Mexican food. Forget the other chains, this is the one! I ordered the shrimp tacos with white rice and black beans. It took every ounce of my being not to finish the whole plate. The shrimp are succulent and cooked in butter; the white rice is flavorful; the black beans were saucey with every bite. I'm a big fan of their salsa bar. My favorite is the green salsa and the marinated onions. I put those onions on everything! It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter, get your number, and take a seat. Servers will bring the food to your table. Service is friendly. Tons of parking in the lot. I'd probably eat here once a week if I lived closer.

Shrimp taco (left) and Ensenada taco (right)

Came on a Tuesday and it was already busy at around 5:30pm, though the space is huge so no issues finding a table. We ordered the shrimp and Ensenada (fried fish) tacos, along with a side of chips & salsa. Chips were served fresh and warm, salsa was self serve at the salsa bar. We took a number to our table and the food was served shortly after. The Ensenada was okay in flavor, most of which came from the 1 sauce drizzled over but the fish was slightly dry. The shrimp taco was better with more sauces, some cheese & flavor to the taco overall, but after getting to the shrimp itself, it started tasted like plain unseasoned shrimp. Shrimp was cooked well and portion was decent but I was hoping for a bit more out of the over $8 single taco.

Great food when you eat there but when you get it to go it's terrible. This is my $23 salad with 6oz of meat. That's 6oz??? Come on $23 !!!!

    Shrimp Burrito. Tedious to eat.

I think this place is overrated. The problem with fawning Yelp reviews is they create an expectation that most places can't live up to. This is one of those places. It's fast casual, so you order and pay at the counter. If you're eating in, they give you a number and bring the order to your table. If you're getting it to go, they call your name. Is it fast? No, it isn't. On the bright side of things, the food seems cooked to order. Expect a line. A lot of times, the line to order is out the door. Evidently, a lot of people like the place, Yelp darlings being what they are. The staff are friendly and on the ball. I have no complaints about the service. What about the food? I will rate it thusly: * Shrimp tacos - 5/5. The shrimp tacos are very good, but north of $26 with tax and tip if you order them with rice and beans. Skip the rice and beans. The shrimp tacos are generously portioned. * Carne Asada Burrito - 2/5. Nothing to write home about, and tedious to eat. It's north of $25 if you order it with rice and beans. Don't. The thing is huge. * Ensenada Style Fish Tacos. - 2/5. There are at least two places I can think of in Tustin that serve better Ensenada Style fish tacos. * Shrimp burrito - 2/5 Tedious to eat, and north of $26 with tax and tip. Would I eat there again? Yes, but I would get the shrimp tacos without the rice and beans.

Baja Fish Tacos never disappoints! The food is always fresh and delicious, but what really stood out this time was the exceptional customer service. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. A special shout-out to Mario & Gio* they go above and beyond to make sure our experience was perfect. You can tell he really cares about his customers. Definitely one of my favorite spots!

There was a line out the door just to order drinks, with only two bartenders working. The second-floor bar was closed, so I went up to the third-floor bar and waited in line for almost an hour before eventually giving up. What made it more frustrating was that the bartenders seemed to be serving people crowding around the bar instead of those who had been waiting in line. There really should have been someone managing the line to keep things organized and fair. We arrived about 2.5 hours before the game started and were able to find seating, but by halftime the place felt completely over capacity--to the point where it was difficult to move around. There should have been staff at the entrance monitoring capacity and controlling entry. We ended up leaving at halftime. Honestly, this was the worst experience I've had at a brewery, and after being a longtime customer, I'll probably take a break from coming back for a while.

I came in with friends and ordered a pitcher along with several shots. The server, a young white male, brought the shots and only one cup of beer. I immediately told him I had ordered a pitcher, but he insisted I never said that -- even though I had already been charged. To avoid arguing, I told him to just bring a pitcher and charge me again respectfully. He refused and told me I would have to go back and wait in line if I wanted one. When I asked to speak with a manager, he said the manager was unavailable. We later noticed him walking around the patio taking pitcher requests from other customers and bringing them directly to their tables without sending them back in line. We politely asked again, and he said "okay," but repeatedly ignored us, walking past our table multiple times. When my friend followed up, he suddenly claimed he couldn't serve us and again told us to get back in line. There was no clear reason for the difference in treatment. Watching others get served while we were repeatedly refused, despite being respectful customers, made the situation feel discriminatory. As Latino customers in a predominantly Latino community, the behavior came across as biased and unacceptable. It's extremely disappointing because I've supported this place for nearly a decade and had never experienced anything like this before. Unfortunately, this interaction completely changed my view of this establishment. I would not recommend coming here if respectful and fair service matters to you.

I was lucky enough to stumble across this gem of the center of OC when they first opened - and I am proud to be a regular here. I don't know how to go somewhere else - because I feel like the staff are giant gems in this jewel of a spot. Winters is a curator of boozy information that has helped me learn about "gin" and "root beer whiskey" so I can sound like an adult-ish purveyor, when really I know close to nothing except being a willing student to his creations. Dan the Man and Jacob always see me raise my hand in the corner of the bar, like the student I am, and have been willing to fill in the blanks for me when I know I am of thirst, but do not have the words for what to order. Every person working in the well has treated me with kindness - they have taken the time to get to know me, and I will be forever appreciative of how they have taken care of me over the years. But the real joy has been the transformation that this spot has for building a community of people in Santa Ana for real recognizing real. I have been bringing my Dad with me to play pool for the past few years. Sometimes people ask me if he plays professionally, I am terrible, and my skill incline is slow, he is patient and plays with the same level craftiness that the staff offer the cocktails. My Dad is always stoked when we have time to go have a few hours of games at 616 - especially now that there are regulars on 4th street that are excited to see that he is there playing - and they rush to write their names on the chalkboard to challenge him - or beat him in a game they really earned the W. On lazy Sundays, I watch couples sit with their drink, listening to Jazz, and watching my Dad whoop my ass while making amazing shots. I am forever grateful to Memo who sometimes takes a break from his shift behind the bar to give my dad an actual challenge - which allows me the chance to watch my Dad enjoy fellowship around the table. Knowing the table was a relic of the bars former self, and knowing the history that this spot has in Santa Ana is a reminder that so much around us can change - but it is those moments of the crack of the rack, the cheer of getting the combo shot, and the shake of hands when it's over that shows that it's not just about the pool table - but about the energy of a place that is welcoming and curated by people who care about what they do - and care about who comes through their doors. Thank you Jason and Mike B to bringing this to 4th St and supporting the community that was already here - and for building a community for the future. After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. They were lightly oily while the catsup wasn't needed but used. SERVICE While in Stowaway, we informed our male server to let us know when we were allowed to enter the belly. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. The rest of the time was spent chatting, picture taking, and our bartender checked in on us also giving a Dole Whip taster. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE "Hidden" inside Stowaway which was located within a strip mall, the entire theme was based on the Pinocchio story, the interlude in time spent inside Monstro, and as we entered it felt like the beginning of the Disneyland "Storybook" ride as you road a canal boat into the mouth and sharp teet of a whale. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

All in all a great place for a quick lunch and good eats.

Wanna demolish a gloriously messy burger and catch the game at the same time? Then this is the spot…read morefor you! The Classic Burger arrives exactly how a smash burger should: wide, crispy-edged patties spilling over the bun, melty cheese, and mustardy House sauce dripping down our hands with every bite. What surprised us most was actually the sauce lineup. Most burger joints offer a couple of options and call it a day. Here, we've got buttermilk ranch, jalapeño ranch, chipotle mayo, white BBQ, Hammer sauce, and our fave: garlic toum. Creamy, garlicky, and addictive - we found ourselves dunking everything into it! The vibe is relaxed and lively, with plenty of TVs showing sports and a crowd that's there for good food and a good time. One thing to keep in mind: parking can be a bit of an adventure. There's plenty of metered street parking around, but it's a busy area, so you may need to circle a bit before scoring a spot.

It's convenient that they also have a food truck because we definitely wanted to eat. Before arriving, we confirmed what the food was on their instagram. The beer was great and there were many options. The space is pleasant. They had the game on but it wasn't overpowering and you didn't have to be into it if you didn't want to. The bathroom has the sinks outside so you can wash your hands without having to go into the bathroom which is very convenient. The service is outstanding. When we were empty they noticed and offered another one and also offered water. everywhere is the kind of brewery you want in your neighborhood as a cool place to meet up and hang out.

They have both a parking lot and street parking, so parking wasn't really an issue. Came on a day…read morethe Angels were playing and this place was packed before the game, but it cleared out once it started. Definitely seems like a great pregame spot. There's a good mix of indoor and outdoor seating with both small and large tables, plus plenty of bar seating both inside and out. The space is very clean, modern, and aesthetically pleasing. They also have TVs inside and play music, but not so loud that you can't hold a conversation. Workers were friendly and helpful. I tried two different hazy IPAs and both were great. They also have rotating food trucks. I saw a lot of people ordering some wild looking drinks topped with whipped cream or even ice cream, which looked interesting. Overall a really solid brewery and I'd definitely come back.
