The white rice and black beans are filling and do their job lol!Service is cool you order up front they give you a number and they bring the food to your table! We love Wahoo's!!! This is one of our family favorite places to meet because they have something for everyone! Our kids love the mini quesadilla and kids salmon bowl, the parents love the burritos, nachos and banzai bowl, the grandparents love the fish tacos and adult size salmon bowl. You can't go wrong! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The staff are amazing! They are always so nice and helpful and they keep the restaurant inexplicably clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food is always delicious and don't sleep on the salsa bar - they add so much flavor and spice to the meal. and the location is perfect for a nice stroll through the Orange Circle after dinner.

So haven't been here in a very long time, me and the family decided to try it out. They have a great menu, and everything looks great, a little higher on the price side but the kids options and pricing is very good. The staff is very friendly, service was great and they aim to please. They have plenty of space for seating big parties inside and outside. All the food came out pretty quickly, the only thing was that it was almost cold/warm, the food was not hot. But everyone seemed to enjoy it. They have great salsas but no tartar sauce if you order the fish dishes. The bowls are great and my daughter loved the beef bowl, and my burrito was good, just the lack of chicken in it and half my burrito being just rice was a little disappointing. But overall great experience.

What a super fun place this was to go hang out and have lunch. The inside of this place is covered with skateboards and old times skater posters snd autographed pictures on the walls. Surfing pics to for the OC beaches. The tacos were great you get to pretty much order them the way you like them but the best part is ghat you can get them grilled and leave the poison vegetable oil out. Sat outside in the nice cool breeze. Super place. I had a grilled salmon taco and a shrimp and chicken taco with rice and slaw. Very delicious tacos.

    Cheese enchilada

Check this work of art out. It genuinely felt and tasted (and looked) like an old enchilada was slapped onto this plate then microwaved (the cheese was stuck to the plate, just like if you warmed it up in your own microwave). Also, $14.50 for this junk, one taco and a soda.

My girlfriend and I came today for fish tacos and beer. When we were served our beer and sat outside she noticed it was extremely flat because the keg was low. She informed the team and they gave a refund and two bottles Coronas. We tipped of course then enjoyed our delicious food. MAJOR points to the team for understanding and showing love to us. Made our day! Will be coming back over and over. Also, it's gorgeous outside on the patio! Great ambiance!

In these post COVID-19 days of limited customer service and substantial price increases, Wahoo's Fish Taco has held fast. The quality of food, pricing and service did not waiver. The most substantial indication of a pandemic related change was paper plates and boxes, which has been restored to normal tableware. As a bi-weekly patron of Wahoo's Orange, I can testify there were some rough patches with staffing and some ill-prepared plates, but Wahoo's always made it right with a smile and we're back to consistent, excellent food. If you have the opportunity to talk with Wing Lam and get to know him, you might just understand why the restaurants are so good. Get out there and support a restaurant that cares more about providing good, real, tasty food above profits.

Protein Bowl with chicken and carne asada - delicious and healthy!

They have some great healthy dishes here like their 1988 burrito. Super good filling burrito with chicken, salad, salsa and cheese. I like their different bowl options too with veggies, salads and protein. Food comes out pretty fast and there are plenty of seats here. Recommend for a casual lunch.

The location at the Orange Circle is especially nice with a pleasant outdoor dining area. The food at Wahoo's is tasty, fresh and a good value. My favorite menu item is the #1 Combo. I either order tacos or enchiladas. The accompaniments of rice and beans, round out the plate, making it very filling. My order arrived fresh and hot. The chicken protein with the red sauce was great together. I especially like Wahoo's white rice. I don't know what ingredients they put in their rice, but it is delicious. If your window shopping around Orange Circle, Wahoo's is a great place to rest your feet and get some good healthy food.

The food here is really good everything was really fresh so far I have tried the salmon bowl with white rice it had a nice flavor it has a light soy marinade on it it also comes with a homemade aioli sauce on the side and citrus slaw the aioli and citrus slaw are delicious the white rice had good taste to it . I have also had the protein bowl with chicken and carne asada with brown rice and veggies it was really good great quality meats good taste as well it comes with the citrus slaw . The employees were really nice and helpful here the inside and outside are really nice too they have lots of seating both outside and inside with fire pits outside for when it's cold I think the prices are decent especially for the quality and portions you receive.

Excellent staff and service, they were so helpful and kind. Very nice patio ambiance with good seating options for a big group. Over all the food was good but bowls and burrito could have been better, our favorite was the albondigas soup was delish!!

Start cleaning out underneath your table pushing you out as fast as they can. The bar just closes down not even announcing a last call. And what is with those awful margaritas. I can't believe that a Michelin feathered Mexican restaurant can serve such awful margaritas. And I am not alone as I mentioned it to another Restaurant crowd and they agreed and said they were probably the worst margaritas in Orange. I don't know whether it's the mix or the amount of alcohol or what it is but they come out watery and really sour. A totally good dining experience has to encompass everything, food is only 50% of the deal the other 50% is service with a smile, and this one lacks it. Now there could be a reason for this epic shutdown at 9 PM. But I wonder what it is? Santa Monica seafood in Santa Monica on Wilshire Boulevard has to have last orders in by 8:30 because if they are not closed out by 10 o'clock entirely, the neighbors complain that they are putting out trash and making a noise after 10 so that I understand. But it took me a year to find that out from the owners. Restaurant owners are so stuck up and anal, I know I was one. Gabbi, whom I have never seen, should spend a night or two watching her Restaurant closing up.

The beans did not taste watered down, and the enchiladas themselves were flavorful. I always worry about shrimp overpowering the sides of a dish but it tasted great. The rice was also really filling. We had a reservation and they seated us at a pretty big table, which I liked. The servers were very timely, kind, and knowledgeable about each dish on the menu and the rotating specials. The inside of the restaurant was HUGE. I'm pretty sure it was built inside of a church. I really liked the stained glass and elevated seating areas nearby, it reminded me of the Old Spaghetti Factory layout in Fullerton. Overall, I had a very positive experience. I had to get a Diet Coke and of course, it was crisp to my expectations. A little heads-up, unlike the Costa Mesa location, they do not have horchata. But once again one has this perfunctory service, that is service that is merely to get through a night and not to enhance a dining experience. So many restaurants now seem to have the same problem, that is servers who just want to get through the evening and get it over with. The service industry has really taken a dive since my day. I don't get it. Don't they get paid more than they used to just a year or two ago. Anyway, I do enjoy the Camerones. But, the dreadful flan that I was served. This is such a basic desert and very easy to make, but one can overcook the egg proteins easily and the whole thing is grainy, scrambled and not pleasant to eat. Basically it should be cooked in a Bain Marie. Probably a lost art. Avila's has several locations and one may differ from another. The one I ate at is in Orange.

The carnitas themselves are the star--tender, juicy pork that's been slow-cooked to perfection with that signature crispy edge on some pieces, delivering rich, savory flavor without being overly greasy. It's seasoned just right, with a nice balance of porky goodness and subtle spices that let the meat shine. Wrapped in a large, fresh flour tortilla (they make their own in-house, which always helps), it's stuffed generously with the classics: fluffy Mexican rice, creamy refried or whole beans (depending on your preference, but both work great), chopped onions, cilantro, and a solid dose of salsa. I went with their green salsa for a bright, tangy kick that cuts through the richness perfectly, plus a dollop of sour cream and cheese for that creamy melt. No skimping on portions here--it's hearty and filling, easily a meal that satisfies for hours. At around $10 (give or take, based on current pricing), it's a great value in the area. The burrito holds together well without falling apart mid-bite, and the overall balance of textures--tender meat, soft rice/beans, crisp onions--makes every mouthful enjoyable. If you're in the mood for classic carnitas done right in a casual, bakery-taqueria spot with great salsas and a friendly vibe, this one's definitely worth grabbing. I'd rate it 4.5 out of 5--only docking half a point because it's not reinventing the wheel, but it's executing the traditional style exceptionally well. Highly recommend if you're near 728 N Tustin St in Orange! Pair it with an horchata, yum

Now they sometimes answer a question, look at you like you are wasting their time, give you the wrong information or input the wrong request. Their method of delivery of food lacks organization. A simple item can take over half an hour to deliver but someone else that arrived after (who ordered a bigger and more complex item) will get their food beforehand. Several times people have to ask to correct their order once prepared and given. Things go missing or are not the right order. The food quality does not seem to be consistent. Sometimes it feels cold and not as fresh like in years past. The ingredients used feel like they come from a can. Less ingredients and smaller item size has been noticeable for tortas and tacos. Some people will get more of an ingredient than others. The size of other items ordered varies. You can order same as your companion and get something that looks and tastes different. The hand made tortillas you could buy still taste somewhat similar. The bakery side still seems to hold up to tradition and taste. The cleanliness of the place has also changed. It is a bit less kept. The sitting area can get filled up quickly by a single person or groups during peak times.
