Service is fast and friendly, and they have an order ahead option on their site as well. I normally get the Baja bowl with chicken or steak, but their salads and tacos aren't bad either. I think the food could be a little bit more seasoned, which is why I'm giving this spot a 4 vs 5 stars (I'd give them 4.5 stars if I could). Not gunna lie we were pretty disappointed with the service and quality of the food today. My husband ordered a burrito with rice and beans and added sour cream, I got a shrimp bowl. There was no rice or beans in the burrito and filled with sour cream, he went to ask for his beans and rice and the worker said he can see the beans in his burrito. We opened the burrito up and it was literally just sour cream meat and guac?? Like why would we lie about it??? If I'm going to spend almost $20 on a burrito it better have what I ordered in it. My shrimp tasted sooo bad, it tasted off I couldn't eat it. Now my husband and I are home feeling so sick from the food it did not sit well with us. I will not be going to this location anymore. I typically order the fish tacos Ensenada Style and add cheese to them. Their rice is amazing and look forward to it every time as well as their black beans. We chose to sit out on the patio under an umbrella on a sunny CA day. I've been eating at Baja Fish for years, patronizing their Lake Forest, Mission Viejo, and Santa Ana locations. Their menu is short and simple, consisting of tacos or enchiladas, either ala carte or on a plate with rice & beans. You order at the counter and they deliver your food. I just got a couple of carne asada tacos and a Coke. The tacos were good; pieces of tender grilled beef on a small tortilla and surrounded by all the good stuff you expect in a taco. Right now I've been into their plates which come with 2 choices between rice,salad, and beans, and a choice of protein. I always get rice and salad with Cilantro Lime sauce. The quantity is there and I leave full every time. I love their Salsas and Pickled Onions too. They make fresh chips and Guacamole (one of my favorite guacs). Their tacos aren't anything to rave about, but everything else is on point! They recently starting advertising Shrimp Taquitos, so I had to try those. I actually liked them a lot, but if I'm hungry, I'm getting the pate. Service is great, but nothing to go above and beyond. Food comes out in a timely manner and the people at the register are nice. The restaurant has huge TVs on the corners so no matter where you sit, you can still see it. Took family here the other day, I order the combo plate with 2 tacos one asada, shrimp with rice and beans. Order of chips and salsa my bill was $31.00 when they brought my plate it only had tacos, and guacamole. I never ordered guacamole but they charged for it. I asked for my rice and beans she said she would check, she came back and said They would have to charge me for it since I never ordered it! It was his mistake and they want me to pay for it! It's like a different level of Mexican Food than offered at other spots. It's healthier for one thing, especially if you order the potato tacos. Love that we have this location close by versus driving to Santa Ana. Staff is always attentive and we tend to take items to go to due to kiddos. Everything has always come out perfect. I love their shrimp tacos, green salad (cilantro dressing) and their chicken soup (new add). Honestly this is a sad excuse for baja fish taco place I got a carne asada burrito and let me tell you when I opened it up I counted only 9 pieces of the smallest pieces of meat.. but they have no problem filling it with rice and beans.. now it tasted okay but like no flavor and very bland... I basically dosed my burrito in lime juice for some flavor and even then was disappointed with every bite. I also got Ensenada soft taco which is basically fried fish with some cabbage... I always a judge a food by how it tastes before adding any condiments to see what the fish may taste like and man ... absolutely terrible.. i have never left a place feeling worse about eating than this place. If you like bland over priced food and have no taste buds then this place is for you.
