Took advantage of their $5.55 off $20 deal. Works on their $10 specials. We ordered online and was ready at specified pick up time. Opted for the chicken enchiladas and street taco trio. Sis enjoyed the enchiladas. I split the trio with my mom. I'm not a corn tortilla fan so next time will see if there is an option to substitute. We actually split the tacos and made 6 tacos vs 3 because each taco had two layers of corn tortillas. Quite messy to eat because the tortillas started falling apart. All the meats were quite delicious. Each entree came with rice/beans and chips. Overall, good deal and big enough portions. I do wish they still had their mango salsa! read more

This Baja Fresh is located in the North Park Plaza. They have plenty of parking, but it can get challenging during peak hours because they share it with other restaurants and H Mart. Service is friendly, polite, and fairly quick. They have inside and outside seating available. They have a good salsa bar with all the fixings, especially their mango salsa, which is good. Not terrible but certainly not great. Since I was in the area, I made the decision to grab myself some Baja Fresh. It had been YEARS & YEARS since I last ate here and thought "why not??" While they are widely known for their fish tacos, I ended up with the Steak Burrito Ultimo and my purchase came with tortilla chips. Chips were not good- I like that the chips weren't thick but they were undeniably stale. The tortilla wasn't crisp, like Baja fresh bread. Burritos did not have cream, guacamole, salsa, cheese or even salt. Blend and blah taste. Soggy tortilla with rice, beans and grilled veggies (see picture). Food quantity is low. One plate of chips was given with 3 burritos. When asked at the counter, he asked us to purchase with no explanation of why each order did not come with a plate of chips. Service is rude and inattentive. Restrooms are filthy. It's horrendous to see a restaurant to go from my favorite to last choice. My last visit. Hopefully this location closes soon. to give place for a new and exciting one. read more

Had a great experience here on a Sunday evening. The worker was friendly, and answered all of our questions patiently. Repeated our order back to us to make sure she got it right. I didn't want guacamole so she replaced it with extra sour cream at no additional cost. We ordered two quesadillas for takeout with both steak and shrimp for each. I added roasted veggies in one. The wait was about 10 minutes or so, with no other customers in front of us, and the worker offered salsa of our choosing to go with the chips which were included with our meal. We got one mild and one spicy. Nothing extraordinary about these, pretty watery actually. But the quesadillas were so yummy. Cut and packaged perfectly, generously filled with fresh toppings and melted cheese, and the steak and shrimp were juicy and flavorful like right off the grill. The store was clean and inviting, with a modern look. Lots of seating both indoors and outside. And plenty of parking out front. I'll definitely be back! read more

I ordered a chicken Baja bowl with black beans for 13.99. It has a good portion size and came with tortilla chips. Unfortunately there was a rock in the black beans. I spat it out and kept eating, but after subsequently chewing on a clump of dirt as well, I decided that was enough for me and did not finish the bowl. It is simply too unpleasant. I've been eating at this Baja Fresh since I was a child, and man....it's so disappointing to see how the quality of food has progressively gone downhill over the past few years. They've cut a lot of their best items from the menu, such as the chicken torta, and every time I order, I feel like their recipes become progressively more bland and mediocre. Baja Fresh used to be incredible and my favorite place for Mexican food, but I would never go out of my way to eat here anymore. A warm, comforting bean & cheese burrito sounded nice, so the hubby and I decided to do it. I've been to this location a few times & each time,the parking lots is a little nutso. If you can avoid passing through the HMart as really of the lot, I'd highly recommend it. We ordered 2 bean & cheese burritos with a small side of guacamole & chips. We also remembered to bring our reusable cups, so our sodas ended up being $.99 each (woohoo - so worth it!) Let me just say now that not all Baja Fresh locations are the same. This one probably makes the best guacamole I've had. Their bean & cheese burrito is also on point. I always say that if you can't get the basics right, then you're in trouble. This location goes BIG. I always get the bean and cheese burrito with a side of pico de gallo. Not only was my burrito the THICKest I've ever received, but the pico de gallo was super fresh and the tomatoes were cut into pretty large pieces. Never have I seen the tomatoes in pico de gallo at a Baja Fresh cut big and I LOVE them big. It looked and tasted so much more fresh, as if someone literally prepared it by hand. I miss Baja Fresh. They used to have one in Franklin, TN and they used to have one in Downtown Chicago. Both went away and I had not been back until this week when I was driving around looking for a place for lunch. I wanted a salad and because I was in a hurry, I just ordered the hand tossed Baja BBQ Chicken Salad. When it arrived, I had to laugh. The size of the salad was enough to feed a family of four people. It was almost a platter of salad. I think it even would rival an entrée salad from The Cheesecake Factory. The salad. Fresh lettuce. Jicama strips. Bell peppers. Avocado. Tortilla strips. Huge chunks of the most delicious grilled chicken. The salad dressing that came on the side was good but I barely used any. Why bother with the extra calories and fat when you can just create your own salsa "dressing" with all of the salsas from the Salsa Bar? I really like the salsa/topping bar. I think there were about 8 different salsas, jalapenos, limes, etc. to help yourself to. I also got a side of chips with my salad. I don't know if chips usually come with the salad, but I ate them. I've been coming here since I was a small kid, and maybe it's the nostalgia that gets me, but I think this place is amazing! I always get the vegetarian Diablo Burrito when I come here (they may have taken it off the menu, but as for it and they'll know exactly what you're talking about), and the sauce is so amazing it really ties the whole burrito together. Not to forget the salsa bar, another highlight of my childhood, but experimenting with them is always so fun. I really don't know what happen, the fish they use really change, it's more like a square stick, maybe I'm just not use to eating fish this way. It's just strange. Food was just thrown together....Tacos were all over the place avocados were brown and the shrimp looked weird and my burrito wasnt any better... As soon has i picked it up it fell apart in my hands, ended up eating it with a spoon off the paper wrapper. When you cant fold a burritos you have issues. Lately, every time we go in the prices go up and up and the food gets worse. Then throw in attitude on a paying customer? DONE.... I will drive and extra 15 miles to avoid this place. read more

Baja Fresh is awesome! This particular location is in one corner of North Park Plaza which is home to a lot of different food places. In my experiences here, the people who work here are pretty friendly and speedy with service. As for the food, it's quite filling. They give plenty of chips with every meal, and they have a salsa bar with a variety of sauces (I tend to go for mild, which they do well). My favorite is the Ultimo burrito with steak with a flour tortilla. All in all, it's a good place for a sizeable burrito. read more

Heard so much about Baja Fresh serving some of the best Mexican food that I decided to stop by and they were open at 10:30 on weekends not 10 as stated on Yelp. First thing I noticed was one of the highlight dish for $8.99 blackened chicken primo salad sounds so good I was willing to give it a try along with chicken baja taco a la carte. Staff very pleasant and polite will be eating outdoor by the patio and the server brought my meals along with the napkins, plastic fork and knife. Their salsa bar with all the toppings is a must for tacos, burritos, fajitas and salad. The meal I had was quite fulfilling a lot of sliced apples, chicken bits, cranberries, red onions, tortilla chips, avocado, shredded cheese and lettuce. Save even more with their daily deals from 2 to 5 seven days a week dine-in only can't missed that will definitely be back. Just gross! I was in the area and I haven't ate Baja in a few years thought I would get it. Ordered a couple Baja bowls one for my husband and the other for myself. Once we got home we sat down to eat , opened the lid and both our avocado was dark brown . Turn off . My husband said the meat was dry and the avocado looked like something In the toilet . Overcharged for a soup that tasted stale. Requested customer service but was just told to come back later and completely ignored. Bad quality food and bad service. It was a Saturday evening.. my Mom suggested going here because she was vegetarian for the day per the Lunar calendar.. since I was sick of Asian foods, I agreed almost immediately. She ordered a steak burrito, no guacamole and to my surprise when the order came out.. the beef was not chewy, no sign of complex carbs (rice), and the size of the thing was pretty generous.. cheaper than Chipotle and slightly longer than Chipotle's.. Chipotle's burritos are more filled.. I had a gleeful moment when I saw Coke Zero at the soda machine. Never had a problem here. IMHO this place is actually a great chain for fast food. Of course being a chain Baja Fresh has certain set items on its menu and a few others that keep changing. The Shrimp burrito currently holds my favor. From the past few times I had it, filled with nice juicy whole shrimps.
