At first, she told us that seating was available on the patio or at the bar. I told her that I preferred to sit inside. She then said there was no indoor availability because everything was reserved. What was confusing was that shortly after, she also changed what she had originally told us and said the patio was no longer available either, leaving the bar as the only option. It wasn't simply that our preferred seating wasn't available--it was the way the situation was handled. The hostess came across as rude and dismissive, and I did not feel like there was any effort to make us feel welcome or clearly explain the seating situation. The music was also extremely loud, which added to the unpleasant atmosphere. At that point, I simply said "never mind" and we left without dining there. Unfortunately, the first impression and customer service were enough for us to choose another restaurant.
