At the very least, it should be warm and fresh, especially when you're paying $5+ for it. Service was okay--nothing special, but no issues there. Unfortunately, that didn't make up for the food. For the same price, you can easily find a much better quality burger almost anywhere else. This experience just didn't meet even basic expectations. Definitely won't be coming back for this again.

August 19, 2018 Came here to try the elusive potato taco as they are my favorite. My favorite place closed down about 20 yrs ago. Casa Sanchez on Atlantic had some of the best potato tacos & taquitos. Well I give this place 3 stars just for simple fact the prices are great. I hate the smelly Mexican cheese they use. I prefer real shredded cheesei like they use at Pepe's. I also noticed the smell of the lettuce and I learned that smell is from a chemical compound to keep lettuce from going bad, Taco Bell notorious for using it. I order my food with no lettuce unless I know they cut it fresh. So we got 1 potato taco to share. First I was hit with sweet aroma of dirty gym socks one main reason I hate that Mexican cheese. The next was that smell from the lettuce so I am not gonna lie....I was already telling myself....this is not gonna go down too good? So upon breaking it in half I noticed the taco had mashed potatoes in it? I never had it that way....so after removing the cheese and lettuce I tried to get into it but couldn't. I than ordered beef taquitos and they were very small and the meat had that old meat smell to it.....wait let me back up....I said NO LETTUCE IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH!!!!!! What did I get? I enjoy the daily specials at this location. So far I absolutely love the fish and shrimp tacos. I call and order ahead so that I don't have to wait on special days because usually there's a line. What has bothered me is that in all those years, not once have I or my family ever truly felt welcomed there. No greeting. No acknowledgment. No appreciation. I tried not to let that stop me from supporting a small business, because as a small business owner myself, I understand how hard it is to survive and keep a business going. The day before Mother's Day, we stopped by to pick up food for my mother-in-law, who enjoys their soft carne asada tacos. When we walked in, Juventino was sitting on the bench. There was only one customer ahead of us. After that customer ordered, an employee handed another person a pickup order with what seemed like a forced smile -- but at least it was a smile. Then she answered the phone. We stood there for at least five minutes with absolutely no acknowledgment. Nothing. Finally, while the employee was still on the phone, I turned and said hello to Juventino. Only then were we acknowledged, and he smiled. It's amazing how something as simple as a smile or acknowledgment can completely change the atmosphere. When it was finally our turn, we ordered food for three people. Once our order was ready, Mia asked if I wanted salsa. I politely asked if it was possible to get four green salsas and one red salsa. Honestly, I fully expected her to tell me if there was an extra charge for additional salsa, and I was completely willing to pay for it. I also did not see any signs posted stating there would be an extra charge. Instead, she looked at me, walked to the kitchen, and handed me the order without saying anything, which naturally made me believe everything was included. Had I been told that additional salsa cost extra, I would have gladly paid for it as well. When we arrived at my mother-in-law's house, the salsa order was wrong.
