Beautiful Huntington Beach weather, crosses on the walls, a father-and-son owned spot full of genuinely good people, breakfast burritos sent straight from heaven, and a homemade Bloody Mary mix so phenomenal you might just sit there quietly praying it makes you feel 7% less motherless for the afternoon. And somehow the day got even sweeter meeting darling little Darla the dog, precious Lily cute as a button, plus Henry and Louis who made this tired heart feel a little lighter too. Came in to watch the World Cup games and UFC Freedom 250 and it was an okay experience. The place itself is in a busy location so good luck trying to find parking if you're not there early. The food was okay, and the beer selection was too small in my opinion. The bar should have a couple more selections on tap. I think what made it worse was the kids running around plus the music selection. I can see this place being a good spot to many, but wasn't my favorite. Don't take my word for it, give it a shot for yourself. I would definitely give it another shot to see if my experience would be better. Otherwise, staff is friendly and its a cool lil spot. read more

I wasn't sure how good this place would be when I first went in, but I really enjoyed the mango fish tacos and the unlimited chippies. If a Coke a cola girly and their Coke was sooooo yummy. The best part of our dining experience had to be Gary. He was so sweet to not just me but also my 5 year old that was having a bit of a rough day. He was friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make sure we had a good dinner. Give that man a promotion! read more

Hubby & I came here for the first time on a Friday afternoon - only to find out they had Happy Hour until 7pm M-F! Select drinks and food items have discounted pricing for Happy Hour - and to top it off, they have a self serve chips and salsa station. What?!!! Yeah, the self serve chips and salsa alone was pretty amazing. The server behind the cash register was also extremely informative of their Happy Hour specials, and treated every guest with the same form of respect. Really appreciated the vibe we got as we entered. Hubby and I got two drinks - he got a POG drink and I got a mango drink - just don't remember which one exactly, but both were extremely tasty. I ended up ordering a birria crusty queso taco off the Happy Hour Menu because ... how can you not?! It was delicious. And finally, the chips & salsa station was probably the most beautiful thing I have ever seen at a bar. I loved it immediately. Chips were hot and fresh, and they had a variety of different salsas too. Definitely a good spot with great service and great vibes. I always have a great time here. They get busy so be prepared! My bestfriend is in a wheelchair and i will say the way we are always accommodated for her. Or even when i go with my other friends i know that we'll be taken care of. Gary the manager is so sweet and always so helpful. Jack our host Gary the manager were extremely attentive and they went above and beyond!!!! Will definitely return the next time. I'm in the area. I love it when I am receiving amazing service. This is like a beach town bar, but the food was awesome. Didn't taste like bar food. Had an amazing time at Baja Sharkeez! Our server Sara was seriously the best super welcoming from the moment we walked in and made sure we were taken care of the whole time. Refills came out quick, she was on top of everything, and just gave overall great service. The food tasted amazing and the beers were perfect. The whole vibe of the place was on point too. I've learned it's not wise to order a salad from a sports bar, and I owe it to Sharkeez for imparting that wisdom upon me. It's a sports bar; people don't come for the food but for the sports and the drinks. I foolishly was hungry and decided to order a "Famous Crazy Chicken Salad," and it was the most evil-looking/tasting salad I have ever had in my life. Who knew a salad could be spicy? Not me. It also didn't help that the salad looked like it came right out of a compost bin, either. The greasy plate they served it on was the cherry on top of this abominable "salad." Besides the salad, though, the birria items were pretty good so that I will give them that. read more

Came here to get some drinks and ordered white tea shots which is vodka and peach schnapps , the first round was perfect strong and perfectly made, second time ordered 6 for my group and I seen the bartender pour the bottle for 3 seconds but that was when I turned and paid attention to him and stopped talking to my friend so I didn't think anything of it but it was 3 seconds start to finish, I figured he just added a bit more . I'm a bartender 3 seconds is like 3/4 oz. Then when I took the shots to my table everyone said it tastes super weak. No point in mentioning it there bc it's a busy bar their word vs mine. Just sucks leaving a 20% tip and being shorted. Those 3 seconds were for sure the vodka short bc it tasted like straight peach sweet and sour and soda. Rather go to Huntington they definitely don't short there. We even did the blow test and only blew a .03 after two beers and two shots so that just proves it. Crazy never experienced a bartender shorting alc bc he wasn't supposed to work tonight lol read more

Got the Shark Bite which was $48 after tax to share with some friend. It was one of the grossest mixed drinks I've had. Extremely sweet to the point where none of us wanted to have any more of it after a couple of sips. The bartender told us that it was premixed and there was nothing they could do, but he added water and lime to it. Didn't really help at all but I wish we could have came to a better solution instead of us just wasting the drink. read more

During the day do we needs to show ID?

Not to get in since it's a restaurant during the day. You only show id if you are getting a drink or when it turns into the night bar

Yes but it seems like they don't want people dancing too crazy during the weekdays. So I would be cautious of that.

I believe they have taco Tuesdays and they play a range of music. 80s and such. A lot of TVs to watch sports on as well! It is a great hangout.

Do they offer bottomless brunch on the weekends?

No. They used to do a bottomless time limited mimosa session but now they do not during the latest restrictions.

Can someone age of 19 enter this restaurant?

It's a restaurant as well. So I imagine. Maybe not at certain hours. You'd have to call or try to walk in when you want. A handful of places in the area,do have bouncers at night,so that might stop you. Really good food and staff.

Terrible music. One second it's hip hop then the music either doesn't transition properly to the next song or it does transition to beach surfing music lol

Very nice sweetness on both of the margs. The brussels were spicy! Had a good kick to them, while the broccolini was a lot more tame. Fish and chips were nice and crispy and the fries were so good! Clam chowder also very delicious. Also had a bit of the bavarian pretzel and some of a burger and those were both great as well! Saw that they had deals for wednesday, something about 99 cent wings???, would definitely come again.

The wait was approximately an hour at midnight on a Saturday leaving us with about another hour to party after entering. I got my friend and I our second round of drinks. She wanted the Strawberry Letter 23, and I decided to go with the Floral Laurel. The drinks were surprisingly really good for stand-up bar cocktails. We took them outside to chill on the patio, soak up some heat from the fire pit, and people watch. The vibes were solid, and this is exactly the sort of venue I would come to with my friends back home in San Francisco. The reason I deducted a star from my rating is that security and the crowd could be better. Interactions with the bouncers inside the building were hostile and unfriendly. In San Francisco, the bouncers/security are typically nice and helpful, but here they were rude and brusque. No issues with the bartender who served us though. Overall mixed experience, but I'd come again for the fun beach party scene.

You can tell by the way someone looks at you if they want to engage. she was not gonna serve me. To test her, i left and sent my white female friend to go to her specifically and get a drink...not even a min later she had the beers. So idk what her problem was with me (a beautiful brown skinned male), but i hope she gets over it cause i will be back to ask for another beer.

Drinks are good and the menu changes with the seasons. Recently I had the halibut. It was super salty and I prefer the way they made it a few months ago. Mary's Chicken sounds boring for a place like this, but it delivers. It's seasoned just right and really moist. I recommend it. The charred broccolini are good and will help you feel less guilty when you have one of their great desserts! The parking lot gets crowded, but they have valet.
