We walked inside and it was renovated and looked gorgeous. Great job w the renovation!! The pastries looked great. My bf ordered an egg and cheese on an everything bagel. He said it tasted good. He also ordered a cappuccino which he said was not hot but it tasted the way a cappuccino should taste. I ordered a hot matcha and it was terrible. I actually tried this place out because my friend goes in all the time and takes a SnapChat video of all the delicious offerings! I can't say much about baked goods or desserts, so I won't comment on them, however, if you know anything about coffee, do not order your drinks from here. The product they consistently serve is not what's promised. I have been lucky enough to work in numerous cafes for a few years learning about all the intricacies of the coffee world, so when I came to visit Dewey, obviously, I was on the hunt for a solid coffee shop. I stumbled across Baked and was excited. My sister ordered an iced mocha (which should be comprised of espresso, chocolate, and milk) and I ordered a cold brew (which should be cold coffee steeped overnight). Both drinks tasted exactly the same, burnt and like water. We threw them both away as soon as we got home. The mocha was clearly not made with any espresso (I'm not even sure there was any sort of milk) and was drowned with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. The cold brew tasted like day-old gas station coffee poured over ice. Absolute disgrace. It's honestly a shame and an insult to any proper cafe or coffee lover. If you appreciate good coffee, head elsewhere. read more

The guy running the register could act like he enjoys his job and actually greet the customers, or get off the register and go in the back. I had the iced mocha which was more like chocolate water!! There was not a taste of coffee in it and the milk was like water, not creamy at all. I threw it away after a few sips. My wife got the americano. Hard to mess that up considering it's espresso with hot water. Somehow they made it taste like water. That also went in the trash on our walk back to the house. I very rarely post a negative review of a small business, but I feel compelled to review BAKED. I've been there a few times recently and it gets progressively worse. BAGEL - Stale would be an understatement. The bagel I ordered was harder than a month old scone. CREAM CHEESE - I had to open the bagel to make sure they hadn't forgotten to add the cream cheese. It was spread thinner than a sheet of cheap toilet tissue. COFFEE - BAKED offers 8 or 9 coffee options in Airpots. Unfortunately, all but one of the airpots were empty. I eventually tilted the dark roast and squeezed out about half a cup. And it was cold. My visit was at 10 AM on a Friday. Entire shop is cluttered and somewhat less than clean. I hope these folks clean up their act or they may not be around very long. I wish them the best of luck, but they won't be seeing me again. read more

We are out in Dewey Beach for the first summer weekend and had to start out strong with a good breakfast. My girlfriend said she typically comes here every summer and it's a family tradition to eat at least one breakfast here during her trip. Drinks: My girlfriend and her mom both ordered two different types of iced lattes. They both downed them quickly and enjoyed them thoroughly. I had the protein blast smoothie and it was delicious. Food: My gf and her mom had the veggie delight bagel sandwich. We thought it was a vegan option for my gf but are not sure due to the spread they used to hold it together; currently waiting to see if the spread will effect her later. She has eaten here before, but claimed the spread tasted different this time. I had the burrito bowl and it was underwhelming. It was mostly a salad with avacado. I was hoping for more ingredients. While I was browsing at the baked good options someone walked out from the back and I was greeted with a friendly smile and a hello. The total price ( my order + my tip) was what I would expect for a freshly baked treat. I took a bite of each as soon as I got back to my rental. They were absolutely delicious! I almost forgot to take a photo. The baked goods are huge, I had already eaten over half when I took this photo. I personally don't have a huge sweet tooth and I don't like when things are too sweet. These are right at the edge, I love them! The muffin has the perfect amount of chocolate flavor, it's not mushy, it's cooked all the way throughout, and has a slight crunch on the top. The donut I personally like better than Dunkin' or Krispy Kreme. It's a little bit heavier and thicker than either of there's. The glaze isn't taking over the flavor of the donut itself. I had the cinnamon swirl bun and it was light for that type of pastry and very flavorful. My Wife had on of the yogurt parfait cups and said it was spot on. I waited so long to do this review, but it is about time. I do not think that I would have made it this far in this pandemic while I was sheltering in Dewey, if it had not been for Pam and Baked. For two weeks, I had delicious smoothies prepared for me, and we had the greatest desserts and sticky buns and things that I will share pictures I can find. We are going back to do a beach this weekend and I will take some pictures and do another review. But you can't go wrong at Baked. Coffee, pastries, lunch...simply delightful. read more

We started frequenting Baked Coffee Bar the first year it opened and it has become our regular stop for coffee and desserts. Love their handmade coffee drinks but their espresso is what gets me going. We were just down for the Golden Jubilee and stayed for 10 days in May and on a walk thru town we stopped in just as they were closing on a whim and took home a piece of blueberry coffee cake that was so big we enjoyed it for 3 days. Went there on a Saturday and Sunday morning. It was really busy and very hot inside the store as they don't have air-conditioning (there are large fans on the ceiling that circle slowly though). The first morning they messed up my order. I requested a plain bagel but received an everything bagel. I requested mayo on the side but did not receive any at all. They did not half the sub. The second morning I requested halving the sub (as it seems that this is not something that they do) but was told with attitude from the cashier that they always half the sub. Lo and behold upon pick-up, the sub was not halfed again. I'm not a picky eater so none of these negative experiences have impacted me going back there. The food itself was pretty good and the staff overall was quite friendly. Though, if you're trying to decide between this place and another breakfast place, I'd suggest checking out what else Dewey has to offer. You may be able to find a place that is more reliable, serves more quickly, and offers air-conditioning. read more
