This was our first time in Sonoma (from the Bay Area) and we're so glad we tried out this new little spot. Service: Warm & welcoming, super relaxed environment Coffee: Strong, with citrus/tangy notes in the espresso. It comes served in stoneware mugs and stayed hot for the half hour we were there. Food: This is where it shined for us. I got the heirloom beans, sautéed greens & eggs and my boyfriend got the turkey bagel with lemon cream cheese. Every part of the dishes had a purpose. I was so surprised by how flavorful and well-balanced my dish was. Even the greens had a purpose and weren't just an afterthought. We were in town for a few days, and originally ordered some breakfast sandwiches to go before a hike. They were so amazing, we had to come back and dine in two days later! The service was phenomenal, and my husband ranks their breakfast sando as the best one he's ever had (amazing smoked ham and gruyère combo). Their outdoor seating area was beautiful and spacious. Finally they are open for business. I bought a few items but only tried the BLT and lemon bar as the rest is for the lady at home. The BLT was really good. A must have for BLT lovers like myself. Found this place on Yelp while in Sonoma Ca for an appointment. It is a small place with some indoor seating but a very nice outdoor patio. We sat outside because it was a beautiful day. My sister ordered the biscuits and gravy plate and I had a breakfast sandwich. A very fresh side of arugula with a lemon vinaigrette dressing was served with each of our orders. The food was delicious. The scrambled eggs were the fluffiest I have ever eaten and the salad was so refreshing. My sister loved the biscuits as they were very flaky and were not the typical bland biscuit. They had a nice flavor that was very well balanced with the gravy. I definitely recommend and if we ever find ourselves in Sonoma again, we will surely revisit. read more

I'm stunned they weren't more crowded! The food was excellent--I had the avocado toast, and it was some of the best I've ever had. I will be putting beets on my avocado toast at home from now on! The other food and pastries we tried were also delicious. Baker and Cook is fabulous in every way. The friendly staff (shout out Alex and Nico!) are always welcoming and kind, and have great memories for what we normally order. All of the baked goods are to die for, especially the beignets (I promise you won't notice they're gluten free). Coffee is always spot on, and the baguettes are truly the best I've had outside of France. The few breakfast items we've tried have also been delicious, especially the mushroom fried rice. Food: We had the cooked breakfast foods (french toast, biscuits and gravy, and a sandwich) and they were all well done and tasty. Drinks: We had a latte and dirty chai- both were pretty good but on the small size for the price (about $5 a drink) Service: Friendly but the food took ~35 min to come out and the drinks came out first- hence, the drinks were lukewarm by the time the food came out and that is a fairly long time to wait to get food on a weekday morning.
