I was coming from work so I had a laptop with me, but cleared everything else in the bag and left them in the office, so it's not too bad to go through the securities. They did say not to bring large bags in the emails before the concert, but since i went after work and will be working from home the next day, I didn't want to have to head into the office, so I kind of just tried it and was glad I got through since they weren't too strict that day. I did hear from my friend that her friend had to pay $15 for someone to watch the bag for Ariana's concert before, so I guess it just depends on the concert. Overall, I had a good time and enjoyed the concert (and was super lucky to get a seat upgrade). Great vibes, cool space and nice crowd.

The food, branding, and music programming reflect a newer era than MSG, Prudential Center, or The Xfinity Center, when cultural identity became part of the venue itself. Atlantic Terminal makes the location outstanding, while the building still feels fresh and current. Even the Nets' black and white identity and merch are among my favorites in sports. Jay-Z is the experience I will always associate most deeply with this building. I saw him shortly after Barclays opened and returned for another tour, and as a lifelong massive hip hop fan, seeing Hov perform blocks from where he grew up was one of the best nights of my life. Jay is 56, I am 41, and Drake is 39, which matters because people my age were buying Jay-Z albums, watching his videos, and following his rise while we were coming of age. Chicago, where my roots are, also feels culturally closer to New York in this context: Bulls and Knicks before Bulls and Raptors, with East Coast hip hop woven into that era. Drake is absolutely a superstar in his own right, and I would be stoked to see him at the Garden again. My preference for Jay at Barclays is praise for one of hip hop's godfathers performing in his native neighborhood, not a knock on anyone else. I have seen Bruce Springsteen in New Jersey and understand how powerful that homecoming energy can be, but Jay means considerably more to me personally. Seeing him command Barclays in Brooklyn was mind-blowing because the artist, the music, and the geography all belonged together. Basketball works extremely well here too. I did the Nets courtside experience with food before the game for roughly $400 to $500, and it felt like an excellent splurge. That range is about my ceiling for a regularly accessible sports experience, roughly the same mental category as a serious dinner at Brooklyn Fare excluding alcohol, tax, and tip. I have also done the Yankees Legends experience through corporate tickets, which was cool, but premium sports hospitality gets stupid expensive quickly. Ally Love was such a smart choice as the Nets host because she captured the version of Brooklyn Barclays understands so well. To me, Ally is Black athletic urban fashion with music and dance at the core; fitness and team sports complete the picture, from basketball to studio cycling. Elaine Welteroth represents Black creative urban fashion and Manhattan media; Michelle Obama brings Princeton, law, and government; Coco Gauff and the Williams sisters connect elite Black women's sport to New York through the US Open. Ally's Fordham background adds another New York layer, and she is gorgeous and magnetic while still feeling natural, wholesome without being square, and polished without losing her edge. Music has given me several other memorable nights here, including The Black Keys, who absolutely slayed and sounded fantastic. I also attended SOURCE360 for The Source's 25th anniversary, with The Diplomats and Lil' Kim among the performers and Wu Tang Clan headlining, knowing multi-artist anniversary shows can get messy. This was basically a giant hip hop party: we got faded, had fun, and I would happily go back to another Source event. Local names like Cafe Habana and Junior's Cheesecake further the sense that Barclays wants Brooklyn and New York culture inside the building. Ultimately, Barclays does an unusually good job holding different Brooklyns together. Old school and new school, sports and music, longtime Black cultural influence and newer wealth all coexist here, while nearby Kith feels like an almost perfect parallel brand. The arena feels sophisticated without sanding off the borough's personality. I have had premium basketball seats, messy hip hop nights, and transcendent concerts here, but Jay-Z performing in Brooklyn remains the perfect expression of why I think Barclays Center is so damn cool.

AND, yes, you can add different flavors to your order! + Multiple restrooms reside on the main walkway. + Foul balls are plentiful and the probability of catching a foul/home run ball here are A LOTTT higher than at an MLB game. + Ticket prices to a game are RIDICULOUSLY CHEAP at $5-$10 per ticket and every ticket is general admission meaning you can sit ANYWHERE you want in the stadium. + Private (AND safe) parking garage adjacent to the stadium only charges $10 for parking. + There is a small merch store inside of the stadium that sells shirts, jerseys and other small team souvenirs. An historic stadium!…read more The stadium has been renovated and much of the physical history seems to be gone. The stadium is comfortable. We saw a Jackals game and had field level seats. The online ticket purchase msp and our seats were completely different. The seats themselves were comfortable and there was a table. The game photographers obstructed our view. There was no screen to protect from foul balls. The staff was helpful and parking was easy.

One of the best parts of the event was how they introduced the elite runners. They turned the lights off in the arena, announced each athlete individually, and they ran out onto the track with sparks shooting up. That whole presentation was fire and really made the moment feel special for the athletes and the crowd. The atmosphere was great and you could feel the excitement in the building. My only complaint is about some of the staff (not all). I had been sitting in a section for over four hours after being told by one worker that it was fine to sit there. Later on, a few other workers came over and told me I had to move. It wasn't even the request that bothered me--it was the way it was delivered. When you're dealing with adults, especially paying guests who've been there for hours, it's all about how you communicate. At one point it felt like they were all teaming up like Voltron instead of just getting a supervisor to clear things up. Situations like that can easily be avoided with better customer service and communication. Needless to say I didn't go anywhere until my daughter ran off the principal. Aside from that situation, the event itself was great. The competition, the energy in the building, and the way they highlight the elite athletes made it a really memorable experience.

The warmup area is way too small, so from the athlete's perspective, that made it very hard to prepare for the race. I ended up running laps outside with my athlete to get her warmed up, which many others were doing, so even that was hard. My runner lived the track itself, it was a great track.

Suite/ Club Seats Review!!…read more My experience at Yankee Stadium was a GREAT one! We went to an afternoon game and had the privilege of experiencing the club level suite, and honestly, it was a 10/10 experience! Everything was seamless from the moment we arrived, from security and check in to getting our wristbands and entering the suite. Upstairs, it was more of a formal sit down dining experience with SO many food options. We're talking tacos, lobster tails, French toast with fresh berries. There was truly something for everyone! Downstairs was more relaxed and had many of the same options, plus even more. Burgers, hot dogs, sushi, a candy bar, ice cream with warm cookies. The list goes on! And it doesn't stop there. Outside in the club seats, there's another menu where you can order food and have it brought right to your seat, and it's included with your ticket! Everything is included except beer and wine. There are also coolers stocked with soda and water that you can grab whenever you want, plus peanuts. The staff constantly comes around to check on you, take orders, and bring drinks. Everyone we encountered was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The only con is THE SUN! If you're going to an afternoon game on a hot day, be prepared because there is absolutely no shade. You WILL feel that sun! But the pro is that you're sitting close to the players and right in the middle of all the action, so the experience is hard to beat. We also lucked up with a little extra bonus because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were in town to play the Jets, so some of the players were at the game. We even got to see Baker Mayfield, which was pretty sweet! And because celebrities are often in the suites, that's another fun perk to keep in mind. Unfortunately, a catwalk with additional seating was directly in front of us and obstructed our view when Jon Bon Jovi was speaking to the crowd. The sound was also disappointing. I could hear the music fine, but when Jon was talking between songs, it was difficult to understand him. Not sure if it was the acoustics or speaker placement. On 8/5/26 I attended the Bonamassa show at the amphitheater. I purchased the tickets by clicking…read moreon the buy tickets button on the amphitheater site, and was redirected to Ticketmaster, and I purchased two tickets. On Ticketmaster it clearly states that cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted. So I brought a camera with a non detachable lens. Security, after inspecting the camera, allowed me to enter with it. However in the venue, during the performance, a very polite usher told me the camera was not permitted. I showed him the website, and he contacted a supervisor at the venue. Later other employees of the venue who did not identify themselves rudely and forcefully told me I could not use the camera, and said that the Ticketmaster website is not connected to the venue ( obviously not true) . A deeper dive into the venue site reveals conflicting information. At one point it says. NO CAMERAS PERMITTED. In another spot it says that personal cameras are ok but professional equipment is not permitted and that cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted. My camera did not have a detachable lens.. They wanted to take the camera away from me and check it somewhere, which I refused to allow. Well ultimately I agreed not to use the camera, and from that point forward I did not. But the experience was confusing and unpleasant. The website presents conflicting information. I would like to speak directly with someone at management level but no contact phone number is listed.
