After giving them call,…read morethey were the only shop willing to look at my issue in a new GMC terrain which has a new design transmission which most shops not only don't have the experience but probably have never encountered them as of yet. I drove the car down to the shop and later they called to let me know of the issue they found. Essentially the torque converter was locking up and instead of replacing or rebuilding it, they were able to add a kit that stopped it from locking and shaking the car. The called in the afternoon and said it was fixed for a few hundred dollars. So far have put 1500 miles on it with zero issues. Very honest shop and doesn't look to break your wallet but actually diagnose the problem and will fix it the right way without putting a dent in the wallet. Definitely will come back here if I ever have any transmission issues with any vehicle. Definitely super reliable, very quick to get you back on the road and exceptional customer service. Well worth your time and money if you have transmission issues

Due to a recent move, the original shop authorized me to bring the car to this affiliate location, a 30-mile drive from my new home, for a warranty diagnosis. Upon drop-off on 11/18/2025, the front desk employee immediately became cold and dismissive when I mentioned the words "warranty repair." The Issue & The Refusal to Diagnose: The problem is specific and reproducible: when the car is cold, driving downhill causes the transmission to shift into what feels like neutral. Pressing the gas results in rising RPMs but no movement, forcing me to shut the engine off and restart it to re-engage the drive. After two days, I received a call informing me they could not reproduce the issue and were refusing to work on the car. I explained to Miguel that the condition requires a cold start and a specific downhill coast, asking them to try again or keep the car longer. He flatly refused any further testing, stating they were done with the vehicle. Integrity Violation and Fraudulent Documentation: Since they refused to honor the warranty, I requested a written reason for the denial of service, which is standard procedure. Miguel went to review my paperwork. When he returned, he presented a form and demanded I sign it before he would provide any written explanation. This form was an explicit waiver where I would acknowledge that the issue I claimed was not present and that their testing proved my claim was false. I refused to sign a document that was contrary to reality, as the transmission issue is demonstrably still present. The Threat and Escalation: Because I refused to sign the false waiver, Miguel refused to give me any written denial and escalated the situation. He told me he wouldn't help me anymore because I was "not a nice person." Explicit threats of physical harm to myself and/or my property at my home. Threats to contact my employer to have me fired. HUGE mistake. Luckily, the truck stopped running near this place. The guys came out to ask us what was wrong. They realized the sticker was wrong and gave us an idea of what could be done to fix the problem. We left the truck with them (thankfully we had a rental) and returned home (to another state). Jimmy communicated with us throughout. He told us when the car would be ready and gave us a fair price. We drove back to Bakersfield and picked up our truck last Friday.
