Been buying pan dulce and tamales from here for the last 10 years. Over the years they seem to havent become more busy and popular and this has been showing in their quality. This year we called on the 12th to see if we can go in and order tamales on the 15th to be picked up on the 19th of dec. The person who answered said yes no problem. We show up at the bakery and 1030 on the 15th and state we were there to order and pick up on the 19th. The young daughter of the family said we could not order anymore holiday tamales. After explaining we called she helped us but had a bad attitude and was rude about it. We did get the tamales but unfortunatlely they weee nothing like the past. They were dry, the meat was dry with hardly any sauce and the cheese tamales were lacking as well. Its a shame to see this place go down hill. We will not return due to poor customer service and quality has gone drastically down hill. read more

A diamond in the rough. We came for tamales, but when we smelled all the fresh pan dulce, we HAD to get some. The pan was fresh and warm. The pound cake muffins were made to perfection. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the taste was perfect, not too sweet. The tamales are were good, not the best I've tasted, but good enough for me to come back. Not dry at all. The chicken and pork are made with the same green sauce which is a tad bit spicy, but not too spicy to not be able to eat. read more

Stopped by right before closing on a Wednesday and the bread was still fresh tasting and flavorful. I like that each type of pastry has its own taste, most places I try seem to use the same dough that's just been shaped differently, not so here. My favorite thing was that certain pastries aren't coated in sugar , and I got as many of those as I could find at that hour. I hate sugar coated bread and usually have to try to dust as much off as I can. The service was neither here nor there but it was quick and efficient. It's a small space so of course I had another customer breathing down my neck the entire time cause you know we just HAD to be at the same display case at the same time grrr but that's not the business' fault so didn't deduct any stars. They only take cash and I didn't have much on me so I'll have to go at a later date to try other varieties. I'm sure my new year resolution diet thanks me. :P read more

Place is a hit and miss. Seems that the bread is not fresh or the bread is leftover from the previous day. A disappointment. I really had high hopes as the first time the bread was great and tasted fresh. My last visit everything was stale. Dissatisfied and disappointed, on the hunt for a better panaderia. read more

Do I even need to get into the fact that flies regurgitate their stomach contents onto the food they eat so their stomach acids can dissolve food matter and make it possible for them to suck it in through their straw-like mouth? I think you get the point. Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? Want some on your conchas, tortas, menudo etc? I know I don't. Well, their employees don't seem to care. I am never coming back to this place!!! This is not my first time at this panadería, nor the first time I see flies in their store. Except last time the cashier seemed to care a little bit more than today's cashier/ employee. Today a few flies were in the store, bread was uncovered on some silver shelves and the flies were on the bread. I informed the lady who was at the cashier and she was super nonchalant and said "Yeah, it happens, especially if people don't hurry in the flies come in and if you don't hurry and choose your bread in the covered shelves they'll go in there as well." So I asked her "Do you guys have a fly problem?" Considering it's not my first time witnessing flies in this store, and she said "Yeah, but I mean sometimes it's worse than others." I couldn't believe her!! Honestly, my thoughts, if this is what's happening in the front of the store, where customers can witness and flies are standard... can you imagine what goes on in the back?!?!?! I really hate to do this, but people can get sick from this, this is not funny!!! I'm quite pissed off and feel guilty watching all these people walking in and out of your store, buying food from you, whole heatedly trusting your sanitation. Take some responsibility for your business and tackle this issue. And it's a freaking shame because their bread is actually good and the place is so close to home. I'm gonna have to find a new panadería, even if it's further or until they fix this issue. read more

I've been here a few times and I'm always happy with the food. I call first to see if they have tamales and they always do. Great tamales, always fresh and perfect amount of sauce. I read a lot of posts about the tamales being too dry or too moist or too this or too that, but I love them. The bakery items are good too. The cashier has always been sweet and kind to me, patient that I don't communicate well in Spanish but I do my best. :-) read more

Large tasty tamales; biggest I have seen for sale in a bakery . The chicken was a good, the beef so-so, the pork was the best, and the cheese ones were very spicy. I am not a fan of pan dulce, but they had a wider assortment than most places. I did get what looked like a donut and it was pretty much baked bread with sugar on top ... I hate to admit it but I love their tamales more than my moms!(glad she has no idea about Yelp lol) I love their Cheese & Chili Verde Tamales which are always moist and filled with more than plenty of cheese & chile, and there bigger than ur average tamal. If you are graving some good old Mexican breakfast this would be your spot. They sell all types of Tortas that truly taste homemade. Their champurrado is also very good! Unfortunately, we called on 9/23/17 at 8:30am and inquired about their tamales. After what appeared to be ladies talking to each other and being placed on hold for a while, we were informed they had cheese tamales ready and the chicken and beef tamales would be ready at 8:45am. We headed there at 8:50am and upon arrival we're notified that they had cheese tamales and any other flavor would be TWO HOURS MORE. Nobody owned up on who took our call or apologized. Don't order tamales from here. After giving this place a lot of business over the years they still have horrible customer service and have a knack for messing up preordered tamales. For a small Hispanic owned business its a shame that I have to warn others of their horrible service, especially since they have a quality product.
