Large portion of eggs with melted cheese and freshly sliced avocado, delicious extra crispy bacon, perfectly browned hash browns (not shown), whole wheat toast slathered in butter and jam (have to request the jam), topped with a bright and juicy chilled orange wedge. The presentation is just so "sunny" looking -- a great way to start the day. And it truly tastes as good as it looks. Our favorite breakfast in all of Vegas. I never physically received the order tied to this charge. During my investigation, I was informed that the driver allegedly submitted a drop-off photo showing an "Ovation" doormat. The problem is: residents at my apartment community are NOT permitted to have personal doormats outside our residential units due to maintenance and safety policies. The only "Ovation" doormat on the property is located near the leasing/front office area -- not outside my apartment door. That means the photo referenced by support does not appear to match my actual residence or delivery location. I also never received any delivery image directly, the order was not visible in my normal Grubhub order history, and support repeatedly gave conflicting explanations regarding the order status, cancellation history, and appeal process. Instead of properly resolving the issue, my account was later restricted/closed while I was attempting to dispute a delivery I maintain I never received. Finding the Balboa Pizza company can be a little daunting, as their main entrance is round back behind the store. If you walk into the front of the store, you are greeted with a very long hallway that takes you towards the back. Once you are there however, there is plenty of seating to be had. There's tons of booths available, just note that there are no padding on the booths. You'll be sitting right on wood. Wood. Which is not bad, unless you have a back issue. They have a decent sized menu with pizza and wings being the two prominent stand out. I cannot speak to the sandwiches as I did not have them, but I think I would love to come and try them at a later date. I ordered the personal pizza with pepperoni, my girlfriend had a salad, and we ordered wings. Wings, thanks for the table. The pizza was definitely small, and had one piece of pepperoni on each slice, and the wings came nicely sauced. For sauces we ordered Thai, peanut, barbecue, and lemon pepper. The wings themselves were really good. The pizza I have to say was just average. I'm not sure how the pizzas are made there, but I would definitely come back and order wings for sure. The one thing that sets this place apart from other pub/ restaurants like that I've been to is the wait staff. Everybody was super nice and came up and greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Grace was our server and she was amazing! Being a former waiter myself, I appreciate time and care that people put into making others feel welcome. She nailed it! Bottom line? This is a new place that I happened to find at the District. Walked in and really loved the decor of old Hawaii as there were surfboards and photos which were cool! We ended up going in the back way. We were greeted with a friendly guy and said we could sit anywhere. It's a good place for families and it was somewhat busy but we had just beat the rush and it got busy quickly. We ordered the meat lovers pizza and was happy to see that the pizza was a flatbread The pizza was loaded with meat and cheese. The flavors were very different and the pizza wasn't too greasy! My wife and I stopped in for lunch to grab a salad, some chicken wings, and a Buffalo chicken finger pizza bread sandwich. Our wait staff and server were both great with welcoming, positive, and friendly attitudes. Wait Staff = 10/10 The restaurant ambiance was dated Southern California decor with several TV's and in generally clean condition. Our food came out together, a house salad, chicken wings, and the pizza bread buffalo chicken sandwich. The salad lettuce was floppy and wet, not fresh and crisp. Salad = 2/10 The chicken wings were warm (not hot), poorly sauced with limited coverage, and the skin was soft, not crispy. Chicken wings = 5/10 My pizza bread buffalo chicken sandwich was terrible! The bread was still white from not being warmed and crisped in the oven, the slaw was covered in buffalo wing sauce, the chicken fingers were cold and soggy, and the sandwich was sloppily presented. After the first bite I called our waitress over and sent it back to be either re-made or re-heated (their choice). I saw our waitress arguing with the cook about it, but he refused to remedy the sandwich because he was "busy". BC pizza bread sandwich 0/10. The cook earned this review for the establishment by being indignant, the waitress even said that he was mad about fixing the order, so I asked for the manager. The wife has been here a couple of times and enjoyed it. She keeps saying we should try together, but we never think about it on those "where should we go" days--until now. First off--the service staff was great. On top of everything, very friendly and was trying their best. So we sat and had a drink order right away, and as per usual, the wife sent them away 3 times before she could make a decision (which is typically whatever it is she always gets). Her: Lemon Chicken Greek Salad, Buffalo Chicken Pizza (Spicy) Me: Buffalo wings (Spicy), The Works + Mushrooms Pizza Overall her salad was what I'd expect, though the chicken on top was thin and had barely any brown, being mostly a pale beige--thought it was cooked through (and dry). Otherwise the dressing was what you'd expect and flavor-wise it was good. The two bites I tried were crisp and while I'm not a sweet vinaigrette guy, it was right in that expected ballpark. She liked her pizza, it's what she usually gets, however out of the few times she's been here and gotten it, the last two times they had no celery as the menu stated. I didn't notice since I didn't order it, but it did come up in conversation. She said the spice was fine for her. It's hard to reheat with all the fresh lettuce on top, so keep that in mind if you're a nibbler that reheats leftovers later. The wings were cooked well--a nice non-breaded crispiness that the sauce didn't make soggy because they were delivered piping hot and fresh--that's awesome. However, the sauce left much to be desired for me. I ordered Spicy (Vs Mild and Wild) so the wife could try if she wanted. I got zero tingle. No bite at all. The butter flavor was prominent. They either used real butter, or their artificial butter flavor was a higher quality than the blatantly fake flavor a lot of places use. However, it was the main flavor, and there was a sweetness to the sauce. The color and butter would have made me guess buffalo was the goal, but the flavor didn't quite jive. Too bad since the wings were cooked perfectly. The price, for the small size was 2 bucks a wing. Nah. To be fair, if you increase your quantity, the price drops, not quite reaching $1 per wing, but maybe 1.20-ish (I didn't calculate, but you need to order 24 wings to get there). My pizza took forever. The server kept having to apologize and ask the kitchen what was going on--she was really on top of it. But the wife was almost done eating by the time I got mine. Unfortunately it wasn't worth the wait. The sauce was flavorless as were the toppings. I tasted pepperoni a couple of bites. The crust was thin how I like, but soggy everywhere but the edges, which I despise. Thin crust better crunch the whole way across the pizza. Note the pizzas are more flatbreads, maybe 12x8 inches. 6 pieces that are easily finished as an entree for one. The pizzas were 19 dollars, the wings $12 for 6, the salad $13. I don't actually know how much they charged for my beer, and I don't know the brand, just that it was an Oktoberfest. Sam Adams seems to be the go-to around town, but I can't promise that. It was good, whatever it was! I'm guessing it had to be in that 8 dollar range with our final total (I didn't have my wallet so the wife slid the card--it's a joint account, I promise! But I didn't look at the itemized.) So lunch for two ended up being right at 80 bucks after taxes, before tip. Honestly the only plus from my perspective was a wait staff that truly tried. Even on our way out the door as I carried our leftovers (not because I was full but because I just didn't want any more) a different server asked if I'd like a bag, so it was a team effort. I stumbled across this restaurant when I was in the area doing some shopping at the Makers Hive Market with my 8 year old and baby. My 8 year old mentioned that he was hungry and of course he wanted pizza as always! That is how we ended up having lunch here. I had the six piece buffalo wings and my son had the cheese pizza, we then shared the chocolate brownie and ice cream dessert. We were very pleased and satisfied with our food, we will definitely be visiting again. My server was a young boy that was very sweet and friendly. This is one of my go to open 24 hour restos. This convenience is great but the pizzas are even better. This casual dining area has a full bar with high top tables in the area, and booths and tables throughout the rest of the restaurant. Brick walls and beach decor makes for a super casual dining vibe. All the servers I've come across have been pretty friendly and efficient. The kitchen is always quick with getting our pizzas and/or sandwiches to the table quickly. Pizzas: everyone i've ordered has been on point. The dough and sauces have especially have been consistently good to keep the pizzas yum. Chip Trio: This is so basic but I always order it. Potato chips + 3 dips: Ranch, Cheese and French Onion. My favorite dips with any kind of chip. My buddy orders the sandwiches and they are all generously sized. He's never able to finish. lol We'll keep coming visiting as the pizzas here are now our comfort food. And like I mentioned at the beginning, we can visit any time because they're open 24/7. My sister and I try to avoid him every time we're there, but he is always there lurking around the corner. We feel him watching us and he makes off putting comments. Had dinner with a friend and shared the Canadian Bacon and Pineapple Pizza plus Buffalo Chicken Salad (regular size). It was plenty for the two of us and took couple of slices of pizza home. We were visiting the District and decided we wanted some wings to take home. So we called Balboas to place a to-go order over the phone for 10 wings. In my mind, it was an easy order. Far from splitting the atom. The order was wings, well done crispy, half teriyaki and the other half buffalo sauce. Boom. Rolled into Balboas which was pretty much a ghost town and picked up our food. We paid $21 for 10 wings. They don't extend the "special" to "to-go" orders. Whatever. We drive 20 mins home and pop the box and discover the wings are plain. Dry. Nothing on them. The teriyaki and buffalo sauce are in side containers. There are TWO PIECES OF CELERY AND ONE SLICE OF CARROT!. So now, here we are tossing wings in the sauce and scrounging for celery in the fridge. We received 3 flats and the other 7 were drumsticks. We called Balboas immediately and we were advised a manager would call us the following day. We were also told they are very selective on the quantity of celery/ carrots they add to an order. So now in addition to an egg shortage its also celery/ carrots? You guessed it, no call from a manager. This place is an absolute embarrassment of a restaurant. Hindsight, no wonder the place was empty. Do yourself a favor and save your $21 for 10 wings, ( yea 2 bucks a wing) and make your own. read more

Stopped in for dinner last night before a movie. Glad it was early we hit Happy Hour. We ordered a house cabernet and a beer. Our server knew the wine was from California but not sure of the name. It was good. We shared a Caesar salad, plenty for two and two pizzas. Very tasty. Thin crust so you can really taste all the toppings and not stuff yourself after one piece. The interior was spacious with lots of seating and tables available. [Service] Upon entering, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the server. I told him I wanted to place an order to go, and he gave me and menu to look at. He was friendly and patient with me while I looked through it. I placed my order, and he said it was about a 15 minute wait but my order came out quicker than that. Good service! [Food] I decided to get the works pizza and spicy Buffalo wings. The works pizza came with tomatoes, pepperoni, ham, and black olives. The food was pretty average to me and that's okay. It was still good! The only criticism I have is that the wings were a little dry and the spicy wasn't spicy at all. Overall, I'd give this spot a solid 3.5/5.
