The first open appointment was with a PA which I was given. The office is accessed from the back of the building on the lower level. There is plenty of parking in this area. Once in the back door, the office is straight ahead. The staff all seem very busy. The were pleasant enough but also not chatty. Slide open the window, take my information, told to wait. Window closes. Pretty standard. I was the only one in the waiting area so I wandered around a looked at some of the information they had available on skin care treatments offered. Almost spa-like services. The reception/waiting area is very bare bones with no windows and hard seats. It took several minutes to be called back where I was placed in an exam room. The tech who brought me to the exam room verified why I was being seen. I expressed my concerns. She seemed very pleasant and left. I waited in that room quite a while. I could hear someone coming and going in the hall so one provider must have been going from room to room. When it was my turn the PA arrived with the tech. He greeted me, verified why I was there and then began speaking to the tech like I wasn't in the room. He sat on a stool, took out a magnifying glass and started looking over my face. Not at something I was there for, just all over my face. While doing this he is rattling off technical words to the tech who was writing everything down as he said it. Apparently he believes I have rosacea. For which he did not offer to treat me. Weird. If you catch that early it's treatable. He wasn't even sure at first it is rosacea and after dictating to the tech for a while changed his diagnosis to 'just make down rosacea' but then no treatment plan was offered. Once done with that he stood up asked what skin care I used and offered a cream for a secondary issue I was there for. My primary issue is a concern for skin cancer. He completely ignored that. I pointed it out. He ignored it again. I pointed it out again. He side stepped. I insisted he address it and he described how 'sometimes' a condition will occur and then described to me a pre-cancerous condition that is exactly what I had described to him at the beginning. He didn't tell me he didn't think it was an issue or he thinks it's something else or address the spot on my face in any way at all. He just kept avoiding the discussion until I forced the issue. I felt so uncomfortable with the experience after a few days I called the office and spoke to someone about my concerns. They assured me the treatment was the usual method and they would speak to the PA and get back to me. They never called me back, but the PA called and left me a voice message saying if I didn't understand the treatment to call him back. I do understand the treatment. I just want to know what is being done to improve this practitioners ability to treat patients. To respect their concerns. To communicate better. He treated me like a bug under a microscope then tried to walk out of the room as soon as his examination was complete. He was literally backing toward the door as he tried to end the appointment before I had gotten answers. I never received a call back from the person I spoke with and at this point I have lost all confidence in this group. On top of that, my insurance denied the claim. Great.

I am also regularly seen at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. My Nurse Practitioner there saw me only 60 days after my examination by Dr. Kimmis. She biopsied 3 additional and separate areas, all of which were confirmed as skin cancer - - 1 basal cell and 2 more squamous cell. Upon calling Dr. Kimmis to report this development and express my surprise and disappointment that he had not identified these additional cancers, his sole response was: "Thanks for telling me."

Mandy is incredibly bubbly and fun to talk to - both before our appointments with questions about the treatment and at the time of service. She actively described the procedure, took before and after photos so we could see the difference and provided great after care instructions. I decided to upgrade our chemical peel with a hydrojelly mask from Esthemax which was an excellent suggestion and made our skin feel super hydrated. The tech told me not to open my legs!? So I sat with knees in bent position and the crease didn't get any laser. She started in a back and forth row pattern on the top left side but then did a brisk pulse down the labia. On the right ride, the tech (Lynn) did not do a "row" pattern and just lasered random spots. Then she hit my racing strip with two pulses and now I have two circular bald spots!!! I'm livid! She didn't pay attention to detail at all. The labia area and crease had zero effect at all. Probably because it was not done thoroughly. Do not go to Skinsational for laser hair removal treatment!

Both have been nice but I just feel that I am rushed during all these appointments. Colloquially people joke about the 5-10 minute doctor visits and I feel that way when I go to Skin Pros. Maybe that's the way it is at all dermatology offices.... The front office staff is average, I feel like a number when I check in, not as a human being, but again, they see many many people a day and that can make the receptionists, a bit curt. My experience at Amanda's salon was probably the most traumatizing hair experience I've ever had…read more In March 2022, Amanda burned the entire top layer of my hair off with bleach. Not only did she burn it off, but she never ever took accountability. Instead, she made me feel as if the accident was my fault, blaming the result on a product that I used on my hair. Every hair professional I have seen after her has been completely shocked with her result, pointing out her incompetence and dismissive attitude to the situation. Initially she even charged me for the service which was later refunded after much discussion. The whole situation completely devastated me. It has been two years and my hair is still recovering. I have spent over $3,000 in maintenance and care trying to rebuild the strength of my hair. Most devastating of all, my curls haven't returned to the state they once were in prior to the accident. I'm voicing this because I don't ever want this to happen to anyone again. Amanda was incredibly unprofessional, evasive, and obstinate. Never once did I receive an apology. Some people are just born into their craft and if this is the case, Brittany is among those who are a natural at providing a truly relaxing facial. When I started seeing Brittany, her facial services were just the basic relaxing, cleansing facial, and an option of the hydrojelly mask. These are enough because the real magic happens when she works on me. I always feel so relaxed and refreshed after a visit. I simply melt when I am under her care. No kidding. Brittany is very respectful of her client's time. She is pleasant but she doesn't talk through the service. She is sensitive to her client and knows when to engage in small talk and when to just listen. The first time I went to see her, I don't even know when it happened, but I fell asleep. Yep. That good. Don't be fooled, though, she does the facial job well. I can feel her doing a good job at extractions. Not heavy handed. Some treatments I have had, either the extractions were painful or there was really none happening at all. Finally, Brittany is very responsive, accommodating, and sincerely appreciative of the business. She is not out to nickel and dime you or to demand a huge gratuity. My experience tells me she is really working on gaining customer loyalty and that's what I have been giving this place. For the above reasons, I am a loyal, happy, repeat customer. I go usually after work as she gives me the unwinding and energizing treatment I need. I live 24+ minutes away from here but it doesn't even matter. I go! Such a treat. She just introduced a list of facial services that are so tempting, I immediately tried the "Mind, Body, Skin" and I did not regret. Looking to try the rest! Oh, and did I mention inexpensive?
