This establishment has definitely gone downhill over the past few years. Seems like the pandemic must have put a huge hole in their employee budget as there seem to be none past the front counter; allowing both children and adults to do as they please. Kids have begun bogarting the slides going half way down then climbing back up so others are unable to use them. Pre-teens running wild in areas designed for smaller children. My daughter is a toddler; their toddler area has a sign indicating that children above a certain height are not permitted. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Bigger kids were running wild, bumping into the actual toddlers, unsupervised, as their parents sat preoccupied in the cafe area. Why have a "toddler area" at all if this is the case?? Do your small children and their parents a favor: implement and ENFORCE a rule to be permitted, parents must watch their kids.. we won't be back. I want to love this place - I really like it. I really love the amount of attention to detail this place put into making it kid and parent friendly. You can tell the owners/creators are parents. There is a separate quarantined area for toddlers which is nice. Any parent knows it's nice not to be chasing them around trying to get them to stay in one area. There was an incident where a child that was clearly too big for the area was playing a little bit aggressively, but I understand that these kind of things are rare. The entire setup is really conducive for a fun time, especially for infants/toddlers. The car parking lot space was really cool. My almost three year old boy was in his version of heaven playing with all the ride on car. The large slide was also fun, it was actually the first time he's ever been brave enough to try one, which was special. The food area is well maintained and clean, a nice surprise for a kids place. The gelato was superb! Really good, high quality. But my favorite stand out thing about it was all the healthy variations they offered in terms of snacks and food. There's nothing I hate more than a place that doesn't offer kids quality foods. The price is really the only thing that keeps me from loving it. It's definitely going to be a once and a while thing, seeing how it cost me, a one year old and a two year old $40 to just step in the door. Horrible experience for my sons party. We are not returning here again. This place is run by kids who of course hate their jobs. The "party planner" if you want to call her that, was nice until we paid the bill and left tip($100+)afterward she literally pushed us out the door prior to our time. She stuffed the rest of our cake in a box and shoved it down that it was literally mush when we came home. She was angry and rude at the very end and it completely blew our mind how she was acting. This was a great place to take a toddler. It had a big climbing tower, ball cannons, and a designated area for younger kids. I also liked the set up where there was only one way in/out, so as long as you were in the main area, you'd notice if your child tried to escape. We've been coming for years however lately we've noticed a rapid deterioration. Firstly, it's grossly understaffed. Most of the vehicles the kids ride are broken and need to either be repaired or replaced. There are few balls in the basketball area and need to be inflated. It's so unfortunate as this was always one of our grandsons favorites. If only they would reinvest some of their profits in maintaining the facility it could become a great place again. read more

So far my favorite playground area to take my toddler. I love that there's something for all ages. Went on a weekday around noon, it wasn't crowded, found the place to be clean-during our visit the employees were always cleaning. My daughter has so much fun and couldn't get her to leave. We mostly played in the toddler and ball launching area. Love the short little sinks for the kids in the washroom. Everyone that worked there was very nice. My ONLY complaint would be the chicken nuggets, they just seemed like microwaved store bought nuggets but not deducting any stars bc we didn't go for food we went to play. This place is pretty cool to bring your little ones. There was a young lady with glasses who did a good job from keeping bigger kids from entering the toddler area. It's always worrisome as a dad making sure your toddler isn't being trampled by other bigger kids at a kids fun zone place like this. My favorite thing about Ball Factory is what I believe is the safety factor . Not only are the climbing equipment, slides , small cars & ball area for little ones safe and mostly stationary to climb or ride, there is one exit (other than the rear exit door ) and that exit is directly past the sitting area for all adults watching their children. It is easy to keep a close eye on small children. And if you prefer to sit right in the climbing are, there are benches to seat a handful of parents. Additionally, the staff is very helpful and professional. The price may be a bit steep for stationary equipment but the last hour of the day is half price for those looking for a good deal. This place is super fun. We've actually been to the location in Naperville as well, but Mount Prospect's location is much better as far as cleanliness (granted that it's newer) and layout. They have a separate section for infants and toddlers which is nice, and a bunch of fun, tall slides. They also have an area for older kids to drive play cars/trucks, as well as an area where they can shoot plush/sponge balls. What trumps the Naperville location, however, is the fact that they have a sectioned off area with a basketball hoop. My son is definitely a fan. I also appreciate their food selections. Coffee appears to be Lavazza, and they actually have some healthy options for snacks: veggie bowls, fruit bowls, yogurt, etc. They also have a selection of gelato, but honestly, it didn't look nor tasted great. Yes, are the bathrooms a little bit in upheaval? Yes, but what do you expect from an indoor kids play place? I definitely recommend bringing your kiddos here on days where the weather is not cooperating. Plus they're open until 7pm during the week, which is much better than most indoor play places that are only open until 5 or 6pm. read more

We were looking to find something to do on a Saturday morning in the burbs and stumbled upon Ball Factory! What a great place for our 4 and 1 year olds to burn off some energy! The place was shockingly uncrowded, which was great. Staff were plentiful and helpful. Very clean. Spacious with many fun things for kids of all ages. I really appreciated that they had a separate area for toddlers that they kept older kids out of! We purchased some very reasonably priced ice cream (they even had a vegan option! Boo yah!) The bathrooms had a nice changing area and toddler toilets and sinks!!! Such a nice touch. I also noticed some great party rooms and a nursing room! Very cool. UPDATE 8/28/18: Great staff today!! Went between 12:30-3:30 Jermaine was very attentive of the surroundings, adhered to the rules of the play areas and vacuumed in between during his supervision! Great staff member! The gentleman tending the cashier was very accommodating to our family and very friendly! No one was wearing shoes in the play areas so that was nice to see. Enjoyed our time here! Highly recommended!! The founder of this place put A LOT of thought into creating this magical playland for not just infants and grown kids, but kept mothers in mind as well! Ball Factory has its own nursing room!! I did not know this prior to venturing to the place, so it was a nice surprise. The Nursing room is very clean, and includes a nice modern sink!! No soap though, but not complaining I always bring my own. ANGRY and DISGUSTED is an under statement on how I felt today and how I feel now after reading some of the owners "responses" to a similar situation I experienced today on these reviews. I took my 5 year old nephew and 3 year old niece today to this place around 2 PM as a good alternative to have fun and be warm since winter days are coming. Upon entering I was a little shocked by how crowded this place was- seemed dangerous and unusual since most other indoor facilities since COVID have done hourly "reservations". But the kiddos wanted to go so we did- tried it out fir a good 4 minutes before well we had NO CHOICE but to go.. I DID not like how the parents crowd around but I also understand that obviously they do that because they want to watch their kids - totally get it just wish there was a "standing, out of the way" option for this. Well a kid was running and ran into my nephew which ultimately led to him swinging his whole body and as he was falling he hit his eye on one of the "padded" poles... when I say my nephew went down hard crying he went down hard crying.. I ran over and while holding him I noticed blood.. his eye lid had been cut open and bleeding... which to my quick thinking landed me to touch the pole he hit... padded my ass... how are these poles not better padded, I mean it's an indoor kids play place what do you think happens?! As we ran towards the front door to ask for a first aid kit my only concern was to get a bandaid and some disinfectant wipe since it was a pole (that many grab per minute) I didn't want him to get infected.... You can only imagine my anger when the IDK maybe 5 staff members at the front for once didn't bat an eye at my request and when one responded I got a "oh we don't have a first aid kit" to which i responded "are you serious" and she proceeded to say " I can get you a standard bandaid and ice?" I was so pissed yet I politely said "yes to the ice please" in which I handed over my nephew to my boyfriend and put my shoes on to walk next door to Walgreens to get a first aide kit... thank you to Walgreens they had one! When I came back I began cleaning the area and applying pressure- at the time his eye was swelling pretty rapidly. As we sat there I was trying to calm down to be honest because at this point my anger was pretty high.. I'm still amazed they have no first aide kit equipment at a kids play center? Is that even Legal? What happened to OSHA? Anyways I went to the front door asked for a refund because well clearly we weren't staying- the kids couldn't even see outta his eye at this point. The person behind the counter said sure- and told me I would get a text and email receipt for refund (which I haven't and that a whole other issue I'm going to call about) but I kind of had more important things to focus on at the time then the fact I have NOT received a refund yet.. instead I got a "final receipt/your order is complete" text which still shows I paid full amount. All in all I'm disgusted.. sure the staff can't really control other participants and their parents but they can at least be prepared for accidents to happen? I mean again I want to emphasize it's an INDOOR KIDS PLAY you would think accidents are thought of when building the place right? So why do you not have the right tools/equipment for this?!?! Secondly, to the owner your responses to some of these reviews is so concerning... sure no one likes bad reviews but it doesn't help when the respondent those is even worse.. you have had multiple reviews on the safety aspect here- do something about it instead of saying "hopefully you come back soon". Anyways- save your breath I do not plan on it- I can't wrap my head around letting a child play in an area without a first aide kit that just sounds reckless and child endangerment to me.- if you do plan to go, my only two advises make sure you have a first aide kit handy if needed because they don't and secondly watch your kids so their not the one pushing people around it's not fair to a 5 year old to get a cut and swollen eye for no reason the day before Halloween. read more

This is a great place for younger children to play. They have separate area for small children that way they are not hurt by the older kids running around. There is also something for parents at their cafeteria. You can get a cup of coffee or something to eat, and finish it with an ice cream. Prospect my kids come home with, Hand Foot and Mouth or the flu or Norovirus. This place needs a deep cleaning / sanitation session. Took my 4 year old here with family and friends for her birthday. They had a blast. The prices seem reasonable as you do not have a time limit. You can stay as long as you want. They have a toddler area just for toddlers which is nice. Anywhere you go, you know the older kids go wild running all over the place, so I recommend keeping an eye on your smaller child in the open areas or even going in with them. Everywhere you turn there is somewhere new to go, something new to climb, slide, and walk on. The kids didn't want to leave. One thing I do have to mention is that since there are a bunch of different paths to take, so it will be easy for smaller kids to get lost and some areas are more dimmed then others. I found that a little creepy since there are adults inside as well. They also have an area that allows you to shoot balls in the air which is fun! Food and drink prices are fair, not too overpriced. You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck. We will definitely be back. And my favorite part were the big long slides! read more

Oh My God! Got a Groupon a few months ago and finally got to go with my granddaughters on Wednesday right before it expired. The reaction of the girls is what gets the omg. The oldest was in tears from being forced to leave her beloved new hatchie in the car so it wouldn't get lost. I was ready to gnaw her cute little face off. Tears and all. Such sourness when we were coming someplace fun. But all that fell away as they got a look at the place while we ordered some reasonably priced juice and gummy bears at their food counter. Their eyes widened and they were excitedly chattering as we sat munching gummies at the nice tables. They didn't even want to finish eating the gummies it finish their much needed juice from their low blood sugar earlier reaction. We reached the entryway to the play area and they threw off their shoes, shot off into the huge stair and maze area...WITHOUT GRANDMA! Which they'd been so excited to know was able to go into THIS play place with them. Lmao! Whelp. No way I was going to find them in that huge thing. I went to wait on one of the quite a few nicely padded benches they had all around the giant structure and different play areas. No fighting for sitting places by the adults. There were enough for all. Two smaller children areas. One dedicated to under 36" infants. Another for the under 48" toddlers. Now my girls are both under 48" but they aren't really toddlers, just on the small side, and they had no interest in that area. They found the source of the weird noises they kept asking about from the entry line and food area all on their own later. A nice foam ball shooting cannon area. With a few ball air hovering machine. Thwack! Puuuuttter. THWACK!! Went the cannons. The only reason this place doesn't get five stars from me is that too many of the cannons weren't working. Especially the giant one. So that was disappointing. They had fun in that room regardless. But there should be a little more maintenance done on them. 4-5 machines not working properly isn't very good. One last "room" was the riding and pushing truck area. We didn't have time to check that out as we had to go. But I promised them we'd come with much more time next time we came. Nice clean restrooms with little people potties and sinks so small kids don't need help going. In fact, the staff were busy cleaning throughout the place most of the time we were there. And they were nice and had smiles on their faces. Bravo. It's a great place for kids to play. And parents and older kids are welcome so we can come back with the girls older 13 year old cousin even!! This was our first time back since the pandemic started. So glad to see they survived! We brought our 4 year old grandson and it wasn't crowded at all. Lots of things for the kids to do - he loves it here. Masks are required and everything is nice and clean. There was an employee going around the entire time we were there, disinfecting everywhere. We celebrated my son's birthday/celebration party here over the weekend! I love this place. Our party was a hit and a blast! I had so much compliments of how it turned out. The best part was everything was taken care of by the staff and we got to have some fun. I did want to congratulate management for a job well done with the place. The facility is clean, organized and has great service. The young people that work here have wonderful and pleasant demeanor and personality, we felt welcomed and accommodated very well during our time here. When i first inquired about our party, he listened carefully to my needs and provided all the information i needed!
