Ordered the Buffalo chicken pizza it was spicy but delicious. The drinks for happy hour were delicious also, we got the pain killer, cactus cooler, and the simmzy's michelada. We are so happy that happy hour is from 3-6pm Monday thru Friday. The service was good, they were friendly with their regulars of course. We sat at the bar. The workers were very social with their regulars of course. I mean who wouldn't be here everyday for happy hour! lol! I'd be a regular too if I lived close by. The food and drink menu are great. For food we also had the spicy and sweet cauliflower. That was healthy and delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is busy after 4:15pm. 3pm was looking good still because hardly anyone.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They had music playing in the background.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Highly recommend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This time we went for Happy Hour with our pooch and sat on the outside patio overlooking 2nd St.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their prices are excellent and food and drinks are delicious. Service is spotty, but friendly. Parking is on the street or lots behind the street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was packed at 5 pm on a Wednesday and that tells you how popular it is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Delicious as always! You can't leave here without trying their famous 15 minute wings. It's the reason my family and I keep coming back. The sauce on the wings is so flavorful, we always ask for more sauce on the side. Very crispy and one basket isn't enough! The nachos were really good and filling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is very beautiful and the big windows make the place feel very open and inviting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, 10/10 I'm coming back for them wings!

Super happy they have a happy hour now. Great pricing and options. Service is outstanding. Tinga taco had a bit too much juice which made the taco a little mushy Wife loves the chimichanga.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great relaxed place to go for snacks and beers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Puppy friendly so bring your best bud.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We love the blue cheese haystack - yes I'm not a blue cheese lover and I still loved it. Wouldn't mind trying the half and half next time.

simmzys is a regular in our rotation for happy hours. the 15 min wings are the best thing on the menu. they're saucy and juicy and indeed worth the wait. the regular menu is a little on the pricey side, however the food is good. my recommendation is their 3-6p and 9-close happy hour. they have a lot of good options at half price, the drinks are reasonably priced as well. super casual vibe and the service is pretty good. if you come here, we say skip the regular menu and get yourself some happy hour lunch.

Came for Taco Tuesday/Happy Hour and had Bailey as the waitress. She did a fine job with the order. The MSG and Bacon Date pizzas were balanced and had delicious, crispy crusts.

The happy hour menu here was absolutely wonderful!!! I love a good happy hour and Simmzy's did not disappoint. The drinks were priced right and the food was really tasty. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We sat inside but at a table right by the open air full windows so got a nice breeze while we ate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The night we went it seemed like there were only a couple employees responsible for serving the whole dinning area but they KILLED it! My cousin and I were shocked at how well they worked together and handled the amount of people inside while giving great service. Very nice chill price and the happy hour menu is perfect for the times.

Another great restaurant on second street. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Always filled with guest and has a great vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Quick service and we ordered from the bartender to go. We got the brusselsprouts, wings and a salmon Sando. The food was not super great and a bit too expensive for what you get. Next time I will probably go during happy hour. I am absolutely going to go again and try their tacos and pizza and will hopefully like that better.

I haven't been to Simmzy's in a while. I was looking forward to the Arugula Salad Foldover pizza and it didn't disappoint. One of my favorites. The Hubs had the Poke Tostada. Sis had the Tinga Tacos and Bro-in-law had the Buffalo Chicken pizza. The food rocked! Service was a little slow but that's because the place was packed for happy hour. From 3-6pm you get the best prices for all of these menu items. They got rid of the communal tables. The windows were open giving the place an open air feel. They serve craft beer. I like the blonde. Lots of different brews to chose from. Give Simmzy's on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore. The HB location doesn't serve the Arugula Foldover. Just FYI. They have a slightly different menu. That's OC for you.

Decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat. Called to see when they closed due to help saying they close at 10pm. They're actually open until 11pm and assisted us until we finished our meal. Haven't been here in awhile. Our waiter was super sweet, funny and provided amazing customer service. Ordered two pizzas, 15 minute wings, Baja taco and sweet potato fries. The Baja taco sauce was sweet and lacked in favor. Only ate 1 bite. The thin margherita pizza was burned on some parts of the pizza and the toppings were not on every slice, however it was palatable. The meat pizza was thin, flavorful and toppings were on every slice. 15 minute wings were not dripping in the sauce like I would want.. easy fixed ordered more sauce. Sweet potato fries were brought to the table cold. I will say the ranch dressing is thin and flavorless, wishing it was a tad bit thicker. The containers for the dipping sauces should be bigger, I'm a heavy dipper and after two bites sauce was gone. Our waitress was making her rounds to everyone and checked on us throughout. Sweet young girl! Due to it being late, it wasn't packed and we were able to pick a table next to window and the music selection wasn't bad either! Stars are for the waitress. I'll be back again hoping for the food to have more flavor.

The ambiance was nice inside for a good snack/meal but it was quite annoying with a lot of flies around our food and drinks. The service was good but we ran into some issues our server had on his mistake. Parking is very difficult especially on the weekend. I got their Baja Fish Tacos (2) and the tortilla they used for their tacos didn't mesh well with the fish. I couldn't eat it at all. It tasted microwaved; lukewarm. It wasn't hard or soft, it just didn't feel right so I ate the fish and coleslaw without it. The fish was barely battered so there was no crisp to it but it tasted fresh regardless. The coleslaw was really good as well.

Friendly staff, good 8.8 beer on tap, varied and good food. What's not to like? The staff most accommodating. Hopefully I'll be back!

Julia was amazing, very patient and thorough. Food was delicious

Where is the best spot to park (e.g. 2nd St.)? I am not familiar with the area and it will be awesome to know the cross streets that will be best to park (e.g. street side or parking areas).

Residential street parking on sides streets or meters on 2nd St are common grounds for parking. Also, small parking lots on side streets.

Are there any keto options here?

Yes, Chicken salad, several other options may have to improvise a little...burger, don't eat the bun...

Are the aioli and dressing vegan on your beyond burger option?

No. They are not. The bun isn't either.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Yes

    When are they re-opening?

    June 30th

    Is there any gluten-free options?

Savanah: Since they make pizza in their kitchen and have burger buns and such, if you have an extreme gluten sensitivity, I'd say no, they don't, but I know they have salads and you can order the brussels sprouts without the toast on the bottom.… Read more

Any gluten free vegan pizza options?

    Yes on request

Do they have a happy hour?

Simmzy's does NOT have a happy hour, but I can say from experience that every hour is happy there! Prices are reasonable, so you should go!

This place popped up, and it was happy hour. So we thought why not. We got lucky and found parking close (rare for that street). And walked over and immediately loved the vibe. We walked in and were greeted immediately, and then brought upstairs. The decor on the way up was awesome. The old school nature, with paintings and abstract vintage pieces.. love. It felt like we were in an old industrial building. We were surprised that it was pretty empty when we got up there. We sat at the bar, and love the decor upstairs too. There's a view of the street from up there as well that's beautiful. The bartender greeted us fairly quickly, and we each ordered a speciality cocktail on their happy hour. Both were delicious. I will say that the prices are a bit steep for me. Very glad we came during the happy hour. But really want to return to try the food and more drinks. Maybe on a special date night out!

I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. Perfect service, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food will definitely have me returning very soon! Parking is free for 2 hours at the nearby garage on 3rd and is a very short walk. It's about how management handled it. We made a reservation three days in advance to watch the Mexico World Cup match. We arrived 10 min early to our reservation in anticipation of the crowds. We received confirmation by both email and text, but when we arrived, we were told there was no reservation and "nothing they could do." Despite showing proof of our confirmed reservation, they refused to honor it and told us there were no tables available. Seconds later, another group walked up and asked to join the waitlist, and he gladly added them. I then asked why we couldn't be added--considering we had a confirmed reservation--and only then did he put us on the list. When a restaurant makes a mistake, the bare minimum is trying to make it right. We should have been given priority on the waitlist. Instead, after nearly two hours of waiting, we were still ninth in line even though the wait time for our table size showed 0 minutes. We left without ever being seated. Thankfully before the match began, we walked over to Broken Spirits (5 min walk away) where they seated us within 15 minutes and even gave us complimentary drinks to celebrate the game. The difference in hospitality was incredible. This wasn't my first disappointing experience here, either. On a previous visit, I waited outside to be seated for so long that I eventually gave up and seated myself at the bar. To make matters worse, the food and drinks don't justify the price. Cocktails are around $20, filled with ice, and underwhelming. As a customer, I left Ordinarie feeling dismissed and disrespected. Between the poor service, overpriced menu, and management's complete lack of accountability, I won't be returning. If you're in the DTLB area, I would recommend better drinks/better service at Broken Spirits or Midnight Oil :)

Trying several items on the menu provided us a nice sampling of what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite was probably the Brussel sprouts as they were cooked to perfection and not sweet like most restaurants serve them. A close 2nd was the chicken parmesan served over zucchini noodles. The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It was a bit to spicy for me with the chili oil so I only had a small portion. The inside is simple yet inviting with an open layout. It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.
