He said it was fresh, but you could tell just about to look at it. It wasn't fresh chicken so they came back. Got the order right in ordered the chicken breast and the wing. I'm first born American in a Jamaican family and I was happily surprised to find a Jamaican…read morerestaurant, in Chatsworth of all places, that was within walking distance of my mechanic's shop. The restaurant is in a strip mall, next to a barber shop. The woman behind the counter was so friendly and helpful that I was genuinely concerned about the quality of the food. Typically in a Jamaican restaurant, the ruder the service, the better the food is. This spot is the happy exception to the rule. The food was EXCELLENT. I asked for a recommendation for their best menu option and she suggested their fried chicken and maaaaaannnnnn, I think about that chicken like white dudes think about the Roman Empire. I'm actively trying to come up with reasons to take the long drive back to Chatsworth to try more of their menu. If you're ever in the area, this is worth a visit.

I was craving Jamaican food and ordered from this restaurant on Uber Eats last night…read more Unfortunately, my order never arrived because the restaurant was closed, even though they were still accepting orders on Uber. Wanting to give them another chance, I ordered again this morning. I got the jerk chicken special with rice and peas and cabbage, expecting a fresh, flavorful meal. Sadly, the experience was very disappointing. The jerk chicken was extremely tough and dry, the rice and peas tasted old, and the cabbage appeared spoiled& had a terrible smell (not edible) I spit it right out my mouth. The entire meal was not fresh and was simply reheated in a microwave. I eat Jamaican food regularly, so I know what fresh Jamaican cuisine should taste like. I called the restaurant to address my concerns and hopefully find a resolution. Instead of listening or attempting to make things right, I was repeatedly told that the food was fresh. There was no effort to resolve the issue or acknowledge my experience as a customer. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but after two disappointing experiences in less than 24 hours, I felt it was important to share. Hopefully this helps others make an informed decision before ordering.

One pulled chicken, which I loved because it was made with white meat, and the other was topped with brisket, which was just as delicious. We also tried the blueberry mint lemonade, and tasted great. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. We were seated near the bar, but it wasn't too loud, and we were still able to hear each other. suggestion would be nice if they offered the cornbread as individual slices instead of only as an appetizer. Will return!

It's a litttle on the dry side but another some honey on there and all set. Honey butter never disappoints. The bowl of smokehouse chili is very filling and loaded which chunks of brisket. It was a hearty flavorful bowl and for $9.95 solid choice. We tried the southern honey chili crisp hot wings. Good sized wings but I like them a little more well done. The sauce was really good too but didn't really stick to the wings. Ordered the picnic platter which lets you choose a couple things to try. We went with brick chicken, Memphis BB back ribs, and brisket. Plate also comes with your choice of two sides. Ribs were tender and brisket was a little dry. There are a couple bbq sauce options on your table and spicy vinegar hot sauce to jazz up your plate. Carolina gold sauce has a nice mustardy taste to it so if you like mustard this is your jam! Didn't get dessert but that butter cake looks noteworthy. Our server , I believe her name was Melina, was super sweet and gave great service!

For July 4th, I was really craving some good BBQ and came across this place on Google while…read moresearching for some spots. I normally love to do stuff like picnics at the park or grilling at the beach, but since I have such a damaged, boring, broken, devided and dysfunctional family, my son and I just decided to come have lunch together. Turns out we were overly dressed for such a casual spot. Established in 1996, this place is clean and average sized. We walked in around 3:30pm on Saturday. There are plenty of tables available for dine-in, or you can place a to-go order as many people were doing. We saw so many people come in to pick up their orders while we were eating. They offer various BBQ options such as pork ribs, beef ribs, tri-tip, and chicken. They even have different combo packages for groups of 2-20, and even more if you wanted to do catering. The prices are very affordable and the portions are generous. Ashley took our order and Iris brought it out to our table. They were both pleasant and helpful. The customer service was great. My son and I both opted for the BBQ Pork Rib lunch special, which comes with a Half Rack of Ribs, 1 dinner roll, and 1 side ($12.95). I got mine with Spanish rice and an additional side of coleslaw (+$2.95). My son chose a garden salad as his side and we also got a medium fountain drink to share ($2.60). Our entire total with tip came out to $39.23. A great deal! We even got an extra rib on our rack, which was a nice surprise. The ribs were not too saucy and not too greasy, just how I like it. They have self-serve station of bottles of extra BBQ sauce (regular and spicy) if you want more. There are also condiment packets like ketchup, mustard, etc...The meat itself was tender and flavorful, and I liked both of my sides. They were a bit small, but altogether a pretty hefty and mighty meal. The temperature of the food was not hot and lukewarm at best. They have one very clean bathroom with all the essentials fully stocked in there. They also have a parking lot with ample amount of spots. There was a TV playing the World Cup way too loud and it was really annoying and distracting. We had a good enough experience here, but I don't think I'll return. Also, they had ran out of wet naps, which is unfortunate for a BBQ restaurant on the 4th of July. They also don't have any dessert/coffee, which I think would be great to have here! I also noticed they put up their "closed" signs on the doors at 4:30, 30 minutes before their closing time. Thanks for a good lunch, but for me, nothing will beat Tony Roma's for the best ribs ever!

All 3 meats were so rubbery, dry, hard and overly cooked. So disappointing to pay almost $400 for food people couldn't enjoy. Service was horrible too. The two girls in the front were cool girls just talking to the guys in the back and didnt even pay attention to the customers coming in. They handed me all our trays then walked away. They didn't even offer to help me, nor condiments, utensil, napkins, plates or anything. One girl kept on asking the other girl if our catering order came with bbq sauce and other essential.
