    Mac and cheese
    Marissa M.

Mac and cheese is one of the best I've ever had. Aside from dino BBQ which is my all time fav this would be my second favorite Mac and cheese I've ever found. Sadly did not like the TJ dawg. I was so excited for it too. Idk, just didn't hit the mark. Will def come back to try another kind of sausage cuz hopefully I just didn't like that one and the other ones are better. Service was fast, we picked it up. Ambiance is a fun bar scene, was BUMPIN before the Sabres game!

Visiting from Florida and stopped in based on Yelp reviews. Place hit the mark on all levels. Great vibe! Fast service. I can see this place being the spot before/after a Sabres game. Cocktails are top notch and they have a solid beer selection. Food wise - do yourself a favor and order the Mac n Cheese! The TJ Dawg and Short Round were both amazing

I alway enjoy whatever cocktail I get from Ballyhoo, and my last visit there was no different. One of the best bars in town in my opinion with very reasonably priced drinks and excellent customer service. Not a very large bar space, but definitely worth checking out. They do serve a limited food menu as well, but I have not tried any yet.

Really cool bar, parking is hard to find, had to park in a neighborhood down the street and walk over. Bar gets lively and lit and crowded on game days and game nights. Ordered the Short Round (Korean BBQ link) and it was pretty good! It also comes with some chips. Also ordered some drinks, drinks are pretty decently priced $8-9 for spirits on the rocks, $10 a cocktail, $2-8 for beers.

Another great visit to Bally! The service- great. The vibes- great. The clientele- great. My favorite bar in Buffalo. Time for a link and some Mac!

Shortrib sausage in the front. Coleslaw to the right next to the Mac n cheese. Chorizo sausage in the back.

Wow, the homemade sausages are DELICIOUS! the coleslaw was very good as well I usually don't care for Mac n cheese when eating out (I make it myself) but the Mac n cheese here is fantastic. So good! Worth every bite. I had the short rib sausage. My husband had the chorizo sausage. Both were excellent. Run don't walk. They also have outside seating if you have your dog with you as we did. Super nice staff as well

Ballyhoo has become one of my favorite stops, thanks to my boyfriend. We stopped here on a Friday night at the perfect time, following dinner downtown. It was the perfect time because there were many open spots at the bar and half way through my drink, the place started to fill up. I ordered a jam session cocktail - grapefruit jam with tequila. My boyfriend ordered a fancy concoction he came up with. On this particular visit we ordered the homemade ice cream sandwich. It was humongous and I highly recommend splitting this with at least another person, but it would probably be ideal for a group of 4. That ice cream sandwich is girthy. Be prepared to not have a big enough mouth to take one complete bite. I needed to take 2 to get through the sandwich. Try this ice cream sandwich. You will enjoy it too much. For me, it has all the elements I shouldn't be eating - gluten and dairy.

    Mac n Cheese

Massive hotdogs, idk if worth for $16(?). Texture was a little wack but tasted fine, could use more kimchi tho. Mac was good too

TJ Dawg, keto friendly without the bun and chips

I have been lucky enough to be part of an all female, brunch group for at least 10 years. We try…read moreto get together for brunch at least 4 times a year and we have yet to repeat a location - let's just say, this place now holds a top 5 place in our hearts to the point that we talked about revisiting to our top 5 locations. Starting with ambiance.......2 full sized bars with plenty of tv viewing if that is what you are in to while there. The seating area is well lit with natural light and comfortable, well spaced seating. We were greeted by our quiet, yet smiley server, Raymond. He was warm, efficient and also gave us great recommendations (coupled with personal stories as to why they were recommended). We ordered drinks (their craft cocktail menu is one of the best I have seen) and then perused the menu. We went with Raymond's recommendation to order 2 cinnamon rolls for the table (we were leary as many places whose claim to fame for having the "best" cinnamon roll, fall short). We also ordered 2 of the multigrain breakfast sandwiches, a smashburger, Brasserie breakfast sandwich, and the biscuits and gravy (highly recommended by Raymond as well). Everything was OUTSTANDING! Phrases like "seriously the combination of this breakfast sandwich with pancakes as the buns is the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had." And, the cinnamon rolls!!! Raymond wasn't lying when he said they were the best. All 5 of us agreed that they were the best cinnamon rolls we have ever had, and lo and behold then had a conversation about what makes a good cinnamon roll - these check ALL of the boxes. We are still talking today about the great atmosphere, service and drinks/food at this establishment. And yes, there may STILL be talk about the cinnamon rolls. Don't sleep on this place!

How have we not been here?! Cute place for date or work lunch with a crew…read more The oysters were exactly what my spouse needed (yes needed), very clean with a crisp mignotette. We wish we had been hungrier to try more but only got the smash burger. Good quality, perfectly crispy bun with my favorite, sesame seeds. Ooey gooey cheese. But then they needed to make a couple changes. The onions were good and sweet. The sauce was sweet. The pickels were sweet. Not only should sweet pickles be outlawed, it was all too sweet. It needed some acid or freshness. But this is being picky. There wasnt a drop left. Oh and im not a sweet cocktail person and was worried about my blueberry basil vodka cocktail but it was perfect.

After a long drive to have brunch somewhere on Elmwood, just to find the doors locked, I ventured…read moreover here to have lunch and it did not disappoint! First off, I was greeted and found staff friendly and efficient! You have plenty of options for seating .. dining area, front bar, back bar, even an outdoor patio bar. Although it is dive bar-esque, it was nice and clean (let's be honest .. some dives have a stench and stickiness that can definitely ruin your appetite, no matter how much you may love them). They have a set up for bands to play, as one was playing while I was there for their 2 year anniversary (congrats!). What was nice is although I could hear the band (it was playing in the back and I was up front), it wasn't over whelming me. I have eaten places where, no matter where you sit, it's extremely loud, and I appreciated that you had a choice here. Now onto the food: The food should have been doomed to fail; my tastebuds were prepared to eat sweet, buttery, syrupy French toast with a mocktail at brunch elsewhere. But wasn't hyped about the menu because of this (which is not dog and pony's fault .. I had to work and didn't have time to research where else brunch was available). I settled on the umami smashburger by a suggestion of my waitress. Now once again, could have been doomed to fail as I'm not a French fry person and my favorite cheeseburger is one I make on my own. BUT WOW their food blew me away and made me forget all about my brunch let-down. The French fries were fantastic and had a great seasoning on them! The smashburger was great to the last bite .. and I was NOT expecting to finish it as it was a really nice portion (I ate lunch now 10 hours ago and didn't need to eat again it was so filling!) but it was so dang gone good I sure finished it! Smoked cheddar .. chimichuri aioli ... kimchi bacon jam .. oh ya that bacon jam was EVERYTHING!! Thank you to the staff at Dog and Pony for making my long drive worth while!

We came here for lunch because we seen so many great reviews but man, what a disappointment. The…read morebar area was nice, but the service and the food was not as everyone else described. I ordered the smash burger, my husband ordered the turkey sandwich. After we were waiting for our food for over 25 minutes, the server came over and said that he was just informed they don't have the turkey because they had an issue with that freezer. Ok, so my husband ordered the cheese steak because he was super excited for the bahn mi roll. My smash burger was alright, but the bread they use for their burgers remind me of those cheap buns you get from TOPS that just fall apart. The worst part was that they forgot the dog sauce on my burger, so I asked for the sauce, and THEY CHARGED ME FOR ASKING FOR SAUCE THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO ALREADY BE ON THE BURGER I ORDERED. My husband made sure to tell me after we already left because he knew I would have fought it and our already 1.5 hour long lunch date would have been longer waiting for the refund... He ordered the cheesesteak and the sandwich was so small, and the "bahn mi bun" wasn't even toasted which is a signature for bahn mi bread. He said the flavor was fine but nothing to rave about. The worst part, for me, were the French fries that came with both of our meals. They were soooo heavily peppered that they were inedible. We asked for ketchup to try to make them tolerable, and they gave us a pre-portioned small cup of ketchup... You serve french fries with most of your menu, why isn't there ketchup on the table?!? Overall, It was a nice place to have on senrca street which used to only have the blackthorn and franchescas, but I would not eat here again.
