This was a terrific conference venue. I was here for 4 days for a convening and really enjoyed my stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. Suites were in relatively close proximity to the grand ballroom and other conference rooms, so it was easy to go back up to my room and freshen up between sessions. Food was great - the honey Old Bay wings at Apropoe's were to-die for (and I'm a wing connoisseur!) The surrounding area is pedestrian-friendly and there are so many places you can check out nearby if you have the time. read more

Location, location, location! The Baltimore Marriott Hotel is located on a perfect location to Baltimore's Inner Harbor. There are so many things to do, you don't need a car. I walked to dinner in Little Italy. There are so many restaurants and great shopping, it's all within walking distance. The hotel lobby is beautiful. Once you choose the elevator bank to your floor, you'll need your room key to allow the elevator bring you up. Nice touch. My room was updated with the latest features. My dual head shower was fan-say. I love getting wild with the provided shampoos and body washes. My bed was comfy and the TV was large and in charge. Was here as part of a wedding group. We were scheduled to arrive Friday, however, my husband forgot his driver's license and we were unable to make our flight. There were no other flights available until the next day. I immediately contacted the hotel and explained the situation. They explained the cancellation policy, but said they would see what they could do. They connected me with a Bonvoy rep, who checked with someone, and I was told they would make a special exception and I wouldn't be charged for the one night we missed. When we arrived, front desk had no record of this, but also went to check with someone. I was told we would not be charged. Our Am Ex was charged for both nights. When I questioned, I received a "canned" e-mail response regarding policy. No credit. Either everyone lied, or they were just trying to get rid of me. Shame on Marriott! read more

3.5/5 stars This was a very clean hotel with very nice and spacious rooms. The staff was polite during all interactions and made sure to take care of anything you needed. When visiting the restaurant in the lobby everything was delicious and the meeting rooms for conferences were well put together. The hotel was also perfectly situated in the very walkable Inner Harbor that I did not need my vehicle once in my four day stay. Where stars were lost for me had very little to do with the physical space or employees themselves and more related to assumed corporate issues. For how nice and costly this hotel was, it was surprising to not have an included continental breakfast, free wifi, or free parking. They also don't do a well enough job sharing that the valet parking and self park ramp are the exact same ramp next to the hotel: self being $25/day and valet being $49/day to park in the exact same spot. When I am traveling I am looking to get the most bang for my buck and for all the "extras" needed for my stay I may consider elsewhere if returning for a personal, non-work trip. read more

Stayed here on a quick weekend trip. The hotel sits on the inner harbor with gorgeous views and plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options, within walking distance. We arrived early and was able to check in with no issues. The customer serve was excellent. We had a inner harbor view and our room was very nice. Our sink however, leaked, but everything else about our room was enjoyable. We did not have a fridge. I liked being able to walk almost everywhere. Parking is available in the garage for $25 a day but adds up if you are in and out. The valet is around $40-$45 a day. read more

This is my first Pandemic hotel stay. I was a little nervous but the hotel seems to be doing a good job. Everyone I've encountered, guests and staff have been wearing masks. There are antibacterial wipes in the room (great because i forgot to pack mine). I saw the housekeeping staff through the window cleaning another room and they remained masked up. On to normal things. Checkin was fine. With exception of fact I was suooosed to have 2 corner rooms and only had one. I was settled in and didn't feel like moving so it became a no factor. The rooms were clean snd in good repair. The shower is ahhhhmazing! Views are incredible! I'll be back. Hopefully under better conditions when everything is back to normal (food service, etc). read more

Great hotel! Not sure it delivers a great value, considering what we paid, but was convenient for the company Christmas party. The room was quite spacious, nicely decorated, and very clean. There were two beds in a room but only one spot for a suitcase, a foldable luggage rack in a closet would be nice. The door to the room closed quite heavily. Good views over the city from the room and from the windows at the end of corridors. If you want to walk in the neighborhood, stay near the harbor. We liked the nearby German market at Christmas Market at Baltimore Inner Harbor, and the cobbled streets of Fells Point. read more

Rooms are ok, pretty standard. It did smell weird when we went in, kind of a Smokey scent? The place was packed and couldn't move us to another king size room. Pretty upset that they didn't have a blow dryer either in the room. Tried to call downstairs and it rang for five mins with no pick up so gave up. Overall it was ok for what we need it to be but just a strange smell and no answer downstairs for 5 mins or a blow dryer. I feel like a blow dryer should be standard, but will try again when I walk by the front desk. read more

This is a very big exquisite hotel even if you don't have much money in your account this hotel will make you feel like you with the rich the rich has an awesome restaurant/bar in the main lobby. This is a fairly decent and standard Marriott hotel on the Baltimore waterfront. The lobby is nothing amazing; check-in was quite fast particularly if you've entered your information ahead of time in the Marriott app. Typically you can also use the app as your room key and skip the front desk, but I couldn't as apparently there was some confusion about which credit card from my account I wanted to use. There are two banks of elevators - one for lower floors and one for higher floors - which is nice and prevents long waits and crowded elevators. Elite status afforded me an upgrade to a harbor view room which was quite nice. The rooms are large and have the standard amenities you'd expect from Marriott. I did like that the TV had Netflix, so if you have a Netflix account you can sign in and Netflix and chill. The overall décor is quite modern, and the bathroom had a very nice walk-in shower. It's easy to use the Marriott app to contact the hotel staff if you have special requests or questions. I tried the "room service" breakfast once. The omelet was very tasty, and it seemed fairly priced (plus $5 delivery charge). You can skip the delivery charge my going downstairs and picking up your order. Just don't expect the traditional room service where they roll in a tray with a plate and silverware. It was delivered in a plastic container in a paper bag and handed to me at the door of the room. Still, the delivery staff was very friendly. Oddly, the executive lounge here closes after breakfast Friday and does not reopen until Sunday night. This seems to be a trend at many Marriott hotels that I don't quite understand. Oh well. The gym was fairly well equipped though had a cramped feeling. They have several cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights. There is a Starbucks within a 5 minute walk along with a few restaurants in the area. Overall this is a perfectly decent Marriott hotel though it did not amaze me. read more

Not worth what you spend to get a room. very clean and nice looking but, I book through hotels.com so got a good price but since I did that and did not go through Marriott i have no access to the club house on the 12 floor. the pool is shutdown for another month . Baltimore Marriott Waterfront was top notch, this will be our stay from here on out. Every single thing was 5 Stars! Customer service was amazing! When we checked in the gentleman at guest service, informed us we were facing the Harbor. A concert was going to be right outside the hotel, the end time was 11pm. If we could not sleep to let them know and we could change rooms. He said he wanted us to have the best view of the City and it was on that side of the hotel. Our view of Baltimore was spectacular! Especially at night! Baltimore is a beautiful city when you give it a chance! Side note, we did not mind the music and enjoyed people watching out of our window. Our room was just as gorgeous as the rest of the hotel. Beds were so comfortable. Shower and bathroom were modern. The TV had my name displayed, Welcome Kimberly. The carpet all throughout the hotel was like walking on a cloud. Parking was not as expensive as many other hotels throughout Baltimore. Heck, I've paid $50 for a 3 hour Ravens game. $25 per night at the hotel was a steal! I highly, highly recommend Baltimore Marriott Waterfront!!! read more

Marriott hotels and its properties have always been a favorite of mine for several years. The truth is, somehow I've gotten away from them with, especially with the advent of such apps as Booking, Expedia and the like. In the past year or so, it just so happens that Priceline booked me at a Marriott and with all of those stays, its been a reminder of what I love about the Marriott so much. On this particular trip, the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel lived up to their promise. Not only did I feel welcomed but I felt safe. Everything they promised in their cleanliness infomamatiinlas and emails was delivered on. Although my trip was short in duration, all of my expectations were met. Upon my arrival, I was swiftly checked in and my room was clean and superb. Again, Marriott delivered on what I've come to expect from such a legendary hotel chain. As I mentioned to the front desk agent upon checkout, my stay was outstanding and I look forward to my return. Literally a few minutes walk to great restaurants and bars, although I was not the biggest fan of the hotels restaurant/bar at all I think it's a better place to grab a beer or wine but not a cocktail or food. While the room is lovely what a disappointment the website states there is a pool, hot tub and fitness center. Staff say the pool closed 10 years ago!!! There is nothing on site to do. Apparently there is a gym you walk to a few blocks away. Also no room service!! For business travel I like to relax in the fitness center and pool and order room service but no luck. And staff needs training. Guests on Friday night checking in were told breakfast Saturday was a la carte but that was also not true. It's a buffet. I am here for a conference and this is not a place i would recommend for a conference. I would shop for a nearby hotel with services and amenities before staying here. [918] 5/25/2019 I visited this Marriot location on a work trip so not sure about the price. This location is easy to get to as I took a taxi from the train station. They have a nice lobby area with a huge bar with tons of TVs. There is a small store where you can find almost anything including an eyeglass repair kit. The room was huge and the bed was very comfy. The room had everything you can possibly want for a few nights visit. This location has a concierge lounge. The location of this hotel is right in the center of town so we wanted to a ton of places. They make a lot of noise each time someone enter or exit a room which can clearly be heard inside a room. This hotel is so loud. I'm on my third night here and I can't wait to leave, and couldn't wait for the visit to end to write the review so I'm lying in the hotel as I write this. The walls are thin so you can hear music late at night and children shrieking in the morning. The desk and chair had sticky stuff on them when we arrived and somehow the ceiling is stained with what looks like fingerprints. The doors are super heavy and slam shut, chasing the beds to shake. And the beds are so soft that you just sink in the middle, giving you back pains when you wake up. The only plus was that they send someone right away when you complain of the noise. read more

To start: I'll say we have elite status with Marriott so we had access to the lounge here. Without that, this would be a 3 star review. The location is right on the water. Easy to find by GPS, cab or Uber. Signage is easy to spot. I had checked in online and was able to request a higher room closet to the lounge through the app without actually speaking with anyone! Used my app to access the room with an electronic key. Another bonus. But I did have to stop by the desk to get extra keys and info for WiFi access and lounge hours. Since this is April break, I'm guessing all the suites were booked since no upgrade was offered. We had a 2 double bed room. And what is it with hotels having shower only bathrooms? Sometimes one wants a bathtub! Beds were comfortable. TV is WiFi connected and allows you to log into your streaming accounts. No issues with customer service. Asked for extra towels and hygeine supplies and received them. We opted to skip housekeeping services so I cant comment on that. The pool is decent with a nice deck that has great views of the harbor. No hot tub though! The work out room is one of the nicer hotel workout rooms I've seen with free weights and cardio equipment. Medicine balls aren't properly inflated though. I was able to get a decent arm session in! The Lounge gives members access from 6am-10pm. You can also book a concierge room. Price it out. As the lounge offers free breakfast (it was the same everyday), free soda and water throughout the day, afternoon and evening snacks and an honor bar. There are also computers and comfortable seating. So, if you are on a trip with teenagers and in one room, it's nice to have access to a lounge with comfy seats, coffee and a view! I have been in some lounges that had snacks out 24/7 with 24 hour access. This one does not. Parking- garage parking is currently $26 a day (ouch) or $45 to valet (ouch). The first 4 garage floors are marked valet only so keep driving. Once you get inside, there are signs directing you to the hotel. I'd park first and then go check in if you haven't used the app. I parked the car and we walked or ubered everywhere else. There is a train to DC or Boston nearby - $10 in a cab. It's about an hour to DC by train and no fighting traffic! There is a Whole Foods, CVS, and Stsrbucjs within walking distance. Or rent an electric scooter! Biggest negative- lack of hot water. We kept running out. Never had that at a Marriot before. read more

It is my opinion that if you want a memorable stay in Baltimore, to avoid other "upscale" properties with reservation rates in the $500/night+ and stay here instead. Rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated with wonderful views (day and night). The Marriott Waterfront is centrally located in the city with many many good dining options and attractions within walking distance. Walking itself along the Promenade will take you through many neighborhoods, or you can catch the water taxis from right outside the hotel. There is a lively and large bar/restaurant attached to the lobby. Staff is personable. Valet parking is easy but expect a wait when picking up your car. Upon arrival, this hotel was impressive from the moment we walked through the front entrance. The ambience and décor felt very stately and luxurious. From the valet to the bellman to the front desk, everyone was friendly and helpful. We checked in to our corner room on the 16th floor with a King-sized bed that had incredible views of the Baltimore Inner Harbor as well as out towards Ft McHenry and I immediately wished we could have stayed there all week. The room was ample with incredible natural light from two walls of windows, but also had blackout drapes that worked like a charm. We had a mini fridge in the room, which is a necessity for us, as well as a coffeemaker. We had concierge level access and enjoyed a lovely complimentary breakfast that had everything we needed... fresh scrambled eggs, potatoes, fresh fruit, milk (plus a whole lot more that we didn't need but saw others enjoying). There was a machine there that created various and sundry flavored waters and sparkling waters, which was fun to use. The view of the harbor from the 31st floor was breathtaking and the attendants in the room were friendly and kept the food fresh and hot between guests. Although we didn't need it because we went out for dinner, there is a restaurant/bar in the hotel lobby area that seemed to be pretty active, and I do believe they offer room service, as well. There was a decent workout facility and although I wasn't there for a conference, I did go check out the ballroom areas and noticed quite a few meeting rooms and ballrooms on the two levels of conference center there that looked quite impressive, especially with the views of the harbor from the common areas. If I had an event to plan in that area, I would definitely check out the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront as an option! We used the valet for parking ($49) but they also offer a self-park garage across the street for $25, I believe it was. This hotel is located in Harbor East, which is home to many good restaurants and shops and is right next to Little Italy and Fells Point, so it's a great location. I don't have any negative comments or impressions at all about this hotel. Sorry I only took pictures of the views from my room, but I was so enamored by them!!! There are lots of great and accurate photos of the hotel on their website. Overall, I would highly recommend this property if you are looking for a hotel in Baltimore near the Inner Harbor. read more

Growing up in Maryland I've always wanted to stay at this hotel and finally had a chance to for a wedding recently. This hotel has done a phenomenal job with its renovations and clearly is trying to maintain its high caliber ratings. It has to compete to the four seasons next-door. I didn't get a check out to be honest any of the facilities however the room it self is very clean with spotless interiors comfortable beds the only complaint is that there was only one caffeinated coffee in a room otherwise it was a great stay despite coronavirus. read more

I specifically reserved this Marriott due to the Waterfront in the heart of the city. The East Harbor location is a few blocks away from Fells Point & other great places of restaurants & lounges. My room was warmly designed with plush bed & pillows, a relaxing tub & posh bath products. The property offers a 24-hour Fitness Center, Heated Indoor Pool & onsite restaurant Apropoe's, offering food all day/night. Conveniently situated by Little Italy, Johns Hopkins & Camden Yards. The staff all around from the Front Desk, Housekeeping & Room Service was helpful & pleasant. Valet parking is expensive yet parking in the 24 Hour Access garage is more feasible. You can access the hotel for the garage via the Skywalks. Whether on business or a social outing, staying here provides a wonderful hospitality with panoramic views of the Harbor & colorful Baltimore skyline. read more

Staying in Baltimore can be tricky and if you choose poorly you can find yourself right near or in a bad neighborhood that you probably shouldn't walk around in after dark. The Marriott and just across the street the Hilton are the two best choices in the waterfront/harbor area. Rooms are fine beds are comfortable and the front desk staff are great. There is a Fleming's steak house next door so you can easily grab a dinner. Room service is ok but it's the new Marriott way of drop off for $5 and away they go. Food comes in a bag and reminded me of a box lunch. Not bad tasting just lacks presentation. read more

Bottom Line: Decent location but this full service Marriott needs some TLC. My husband and I stayed here for one night and it was fine, but that's just it - fine. Here is what I liked: - Comfy beds - Friendly front desk staff - Views of Bal'mor - Walking distance to good restaurants - Full service Marriott means a restaurant, gym, gift shop, etc. - Indoor pool - Decent sized gym - Water Taxi stop right outside which is convenient for sightseeing and getting to other parts of the Inner Harbor and even Fort McHenry Here is what I didn't like: - Valet experience. I paid $45 for the convenience of valet experience but upon arriving I was directed to a spot where I needed to parallel park my car. Then upon leaving, I was told to call the valet desk and no one ever picked up the phone. - Dated decor. This place needs a face lift. Plus, it could use some maintenance. For example, the wall paper in the bathroom was peeling/bubbling. - The pool was overrun with kids and very loud. - Loud hip music was playing in the lobby (or maybe overflowing from the restaurant) on Friday at 5:30pm and it was such a contrast to the dated, stuffiness of the lobby. I'm a Platinum Elite Premier member so I stay way too many nights in hotels each month so I'll admit that I am a little picky. I think if I stay in the Harbor East area again I will try the Courtyard. read more

The Apropoe restaurant is MAGIC for breakfast after a long night of fun in the city. The breakfast experience was absolutely the highlight of my stay. I regret that I did not get many names - there was a marvelous woman who suggested I try the fresh squeezed juices for breakfast... It was right in front of my eyes but I did not look up to see the offering! She made a wonderful carrot, strawberry mint and ginger juice that lifted my morning. I suggested they add a small flashing light to the stand to warn those dining NOT TO MISS THIS FEATURE. Then I met Esther, complete professional, timely, friendly, knowledgeable... We have decided that this will be our SPOT in BMore when we come for business or pleasure. Excellence in dining quality and the professionalism of the staff is next to none. There was a young woman who greeted us on entry with the most amazing hair and style. Kind, friendly. Then and the second day at breakfast, a gentleman waiter who happened to note that a stink bug had landed next to my bowl of fruit and was perched on my scarf. I am not afraid of bugs, in fact, I am a doctor who was there for a SNO Brain Metastases conference this past week and I WOULD NEVER HURT A BUG... I asked the gentle man to show me to the window - instead, he gently grabed the little guy and made clear he would not hurt him, and released him outdoors. After being in the house so long, my family decided to do a staycation in Baltimore. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and price of this location. I'm very very very picky when it comes to hotels. I've experienced bed bugs so I DO NOT PLAY WITH HOTELS. The location was walking distance to the Baltimore Aquarium. Close to many restaurants to do uber eats or grub hub. Because of the pandemic, we couldn't eat in the restaurants. Parking is so so, but we got a good space. The view of the inner harbor from our room was the 5 stars. The inside decor was nice, but the natural sunlight that poured into our room and the view of the harbor was EVERYTHING. WARNING : Check your bill very carefully. Bait and switch rate increases and system "errors" with no explanation or apology. Worst experience I've had at a Marriott property. The front desk manager, Nirva Dahal, was a real jerk about rectifing several "errors" they made in overcharging me for the room and valet parking. She said, "I don't want to call you a liar, but show me proof the rate is wrong." What in the gaslighting techniques is that?? Ms. Dahal interpreted me several times during the conversation and didn't lift a finger to take notes for follow-up or call the Ambassador team (who made the resources on my behalf). They charged me twice for valet parking in one night; Ms. Dahal suggested that I had two cars or a visitor before admiting that the valet system has been making errors. Again, no apology. The property itself is only desirable due to location and views. They have minimal amenities: no pool, the Concierge lounge continues to be closed due to COVID. The restaurant is short staffed and has a limited menu. We were given breakfast vouchers for $50 because of the Concierge lounge being closed. Then they changed the breakfast options from a la carte to buffet style only without warning (charging $28 per person). So the breakfast voucher for two was useless. Holes in the towels, the bathroom doors don't close all the way...minor inconveniences, but for what they charge, unacceptable. Do yourself a favor and stay at another property. Far too many beautiful properties close by to have to deal with foolishness. read more

The room is nice and clean. The bathroom is very small. The only call you can make is to the valet. You have to leave your room for anything else. There is no room service. There is no concierge. The valet pulls your car up, parks and locks it instead of pulling it to the door and holding the door open for you. The cafe serves prepackaged food. For $400/night I expect more. Also had a very difficult time understanding the front desk clerk and she acted annoyed when we asked her to repeat. Generally not a very friendly place. We used to love this place. Really not the best experience. I stayed here last summer with two of my friends, during a girls trip we had planned. Upon initial inspection the our rooms were clean and relatively spacious. Everything was all right until around 4 am on our last night. The guests next to us were having a rowdy party that disinterested into an all out brawl. And no not just yelling. People were throwing things, knocking objects over, and screeching like whole entire demons. I called security who said they would take care of it. Nothing. An hour later (the nonsense continuing in the background) I called again and security said they would handle it. Spoiler alert. They never did. I think they just called the room to tell them to be quiet, because I heard one person yell "WHO CALLED TO COMPLAIN ABOUT US!! WE AINT EVEN DAT LOUD THO" Wow. anyway theh finally calmed down at 7 am. At that point I went to the front desk to speak to the staff and the buffoon in front of me apologized and basically said there was nothing much he could do. Hey "manager" when other guests are engaging in disruptive and dangerous behavior that creates such an almighty cacophony that it disturbs your other paying quiet guests YOU GET SECURITY UP THERE AND REMOVE THEM!! The security guard I spoke to on the phone even said otherw had complained. Yet they still failed to address it. Anyway in a paltry attempt to make up for his establishment's foolishness, he offered $50 to cover a hotel breakfast for 3 ladies. Seriously?! Upon confronting him he then told us that was all he was authorized to offer. We spoke to another manager who increased the amount (barely). They both apologized but then said next time book on a quieter weekend. Excuse me?! How about next time you man up and handle the issues going om in your hotel. read more
