The restaurant was clean. The princess chicken, fried rice, and cashew shrimp were and are always winners. We had a family group of 30, and the service was as good as the food. It's a win win. read more

This place really upset me today I was handed my food in a to go styrofoam container and it was in another plastic bag and the container had a huge hole in the bottom and all my food was in the bag so I went to talk to the manager about it his name is Aaron Baldich and he just told me he was to busy and just eat it and dismissed me and told me to leave. So unprofessional and treating senior citizens like that. This place should be shut down until their is better managment and the owner should be a ashamed of himself for letting people who work for him treat others like us bad and I had to pay 60 dollars for this meal. The food at this restaurant is the same - good. They have, however, jacked up their prices. Went to pick up food during this pandemic mess. The total for the order was twice what it normally should be. When asked of the restaurant employee why the price was so high, she stated that they had changed their pricing. When asked for a new menu with the new prices, she stated they had a new menu but it did not have prices on it. I believe this is a violation of Arizona law which states that all items for sale must have a price that the consumer can see. Arizona has no price gouging law that I'm aware of, but maybe that needs to be revisited. read more

I tried this place because it close to home . I would love to have a locol chinese restrant I realy wanted to like it . The staff was very nice , but the wait time was way to long . The food was literally the worst chinese food I have ever eaten . There was no seasoning at all it was so bland soy sauce and chili sauce couldn't save it. We have been coming here for dine in and take out for over 25 years. The food is always hot and fresh and tasty. I am really not sure why there are only 3.5 stars, we have never been disappointed with the food, and in fact we over order so we will have leftovers. With so few options on this side of town, we are so lucky to have such great food so close. read more

I wouldn't recommend this place at all unfortunately. A friend and I went to this restaurant due to it being recommended by his coworker..big mistake. The food was not good, almost flavorless in a sense; we ordered chicken fried rice and orange chicken. The orange chicken was extremely chewy (at one point I had to spit a piece out because I just could no longer chew it) and again mainly flavorless. The chicken fried rice included very pale unseasoned chicken, and cold peas, the rice itself was not too too bad but also I've had better at Panda Express. We did pay for our food since taste is a personal thing and technically nothing was "wrong" with our food. we took the leftovers to go to possibly give it another try before reviewing this place, this is when I had a lovely experience of crunching down on eggshells in the fried rice, after that all leftovers were thrown in the trash. While we were at the restaurant the service was extremely slow, it looked as though there was only one waitress so maybe the restaurant is understaffed or they cut back on staff since we went on a Sunday but there was also other staff seen just standing around towards the entrance of the kitchen. Overall, for how expensive each plate is (about $15) this place is definitely not worth it. I would recommend spending your money elsewhere or simply making a meal at home which is what we ended up doing once leaving the restaurant. read more

My family used to love this restaurant! However, it changed ownership and right around the time it changed hands we'd gone in and weren't impressed. Driving by the other day I thought we really needed to give it a try again! So, this weekend, we gave them another try. To begin: when we called to place an order they told us it would be an hour wait. I thought this was a bit long but was more than happy to place an order and plan around it. After all, this would mean that the food is fresh! This also should mean that the place is slamming because everyone loves the food. When we arrived, it was exactly one hour after we'd placed the order. I was told that our order was not ready and that we were waiting for one more item to be finished. We ended up waiting for another 15-20 minutes. Now... this means that all of my other food was just sitting packed up for all of that time getting cold. Not great planning by the kitchen. And when the food is ready they had crammed everything into one bag (which was in danger of breaking from the weight!) and then handed me a Styrofoam box of the sesame chicken that they decided not to bag. Chaos. Not great but I was happy to get the food so we went home. Food review: it begins good with the dumplings! Had I only ordered dumplings this would have been a 4-star rating (still losing a point for the wait and packaging). The dumplings were moist, had a great taste, and I loved the sauce they came with! Everything after the dumplings was downhill. Crabpuffs were our second app and they lacked flavor. They were also cold, because they'd been sitting so long, and crab puffs can get a little 'greasy' if they sit too long. So I was disappointed because these are one of my favorite things about Chinese food. Sesame chicken (the one we'd waited for) was different than the last time we had it here. The chicken pieces were bigger. This time it was just overcooked. And while it was 'okay' I was disappointed that we had waited so long and somehow it still came out overcooked. Would I try it again? Maybe... but then we started opening other boxes. General Tso chicken had huge, huge chunks of celery, bell pepper, and carrot. Mostly celery and bell pepper. In fact, there was barely any chicken in the box because so much of the container was taken up with the celery. Flavor was not on par with other restaurants. All of the 'filler' veggies was disappointing and I quite frankly was upset they thought giving us 4 pieces of chicken and tons of celery and bell pepper was 'clever'. Garlic chicken... good, but overall just did not work as a dish. It was the most tender of the chickens. It just wasn't something I'd get again. This was, however, our first time trying it. Our vegetarian in the family got a vegetarian dish that the liquid had spilled out of on the way home. She also got fried rice that had huge chunks of whole eggs in it. It was 'meh' and she didn't complain but the fried rice at fast food places was better crafted than this was. After dropping almost $100 on this meal, I can say I won't be visiting again. Everything (except for the dumplings!) had issues, lacked great flavor, didn't have attention to detail, and I was extremely upset that they padded the boxes with huge veggie chunks. A coworker highly recommended this place so I finally decided to try it. We ordered take out on a Saturday at around 6pm. It was definitely busy inside the restaurant. We ordered 3 items: Sesame chicken, Walnut shrimp, Bbq pork fried rice. Everything was wrapped very well and it was neat and pretty but when it came to taste, that's were the problem began. I could possibly overlook the expensive $38 I paid (not including tip) if the food tasted better. The sesame chicken was the worst. It was nicely laid out on a bed of shedded lettuce and sliced tomatoes but the chicken itself was bland with no taste and hardly any sesame seeds. The bbq pork fried rice came in second worst. It was dry and flavorless. In 3rd place, the walnut shrimp was decent but the sauce was way too sweet and overpowered the taste of the shrimp. I would probably give it one more try before completely banning it. read more

Very sad it's come down to this. One star tonight because I can't give them zero. Wifey and I went yesterday (Saturday) night because heretofore the beef lo mein has been to die for. Last night we almost did. The dish that was brought to us tasted like a box of salt mixed with soy sauce. It was awful. It was so bad we couldn't eat it and was the first time we couldn't even take it home. We also ordered one of the chef specials and it came out with the same full on salt attack. It was embarrassing and an insult to be served such garbage. This was not a case of oh, it's a little to salty for me or oh, got a little more salt in it then needed. No. This was complete incompetence in the kitchen. Pity the server who had to bring it to us. She was so wonderful and took such good care of us only to be betrayed by whoever was in the kitchen. Unfortunately, we will never return. On to the restaurants that take pride in what they serve. read more

Food is good but service is HORRIBLE, we were one of the last tables today and they were arguing on who was gonna get us refills, they kept on talking about it in English thinking we wouldn't understand I guess, we sat on a table with no drink for 20 minutes and everyone was just walking around not doing anything except for one girl (Carolina) she was really nice, she asked a guy to help her get refills and he ignored her and said he was "busy" when he was just standing, food was pretty mid this time but everything else completely awful. read more

the service was among the best that I have found in Tucson and the friendliness shown was delightful. My problem is I have lived in the Far East, for ten years with the US NAVY and up and down the coasts on of the USA and I am spoiled by the places I have eaten, most of the best ones were not fancy at all but had amazingly great food, so with that in mind , the pork chop suey was not what I have come to love. It was all bean sprouts and a little bit of something dark green like spinich.It lacked color which would be made by adding celery, carrots, onions, green and red peppers, and of course bamboo sprouts and water chesnuts. And thin strips of well seasoned pork. The hot and sour soup had the necessary ingredients to surpass most of the competition in Tucson , for just a little tweaking it would be the best. It needed a tiny bit more rice vinegar ,lovely chopped green onion , and a dash of real red chili pepper to be the best in Tucson. It was a winner with the tofu and shredded pork. I remember the best I ever had , if I recall correctly had wood fungus in it. It was superb. The sauce on the barbeque ribs needed to be thicker but was mighty good. I would use baby pork ribs not the large ones. The fried rice was good. No complaints. I am here to speak about pork chop suey. I want the real mccoy. What this interior lacked in fanciness , called ambiance they made up with the selling point this place has, which was the charm and kindness of the whole staff. I loved being treated like that, and I had not been treated that well at some of the top rated places. Server checked once on us while she sat at the huddle table with the rest of the girls. Work is work ladies... don't socialize while the restaurant is busy and complain that the tip was low... I would be unfair to others who eat here. I've been a customer here for 30 years. I have NEVER had any issues with anything I've ordered. This past weekend was different in that 6 adults - 2 ordered shrimp, 4 ordered chicken and the 4 of us have been sick as a dog since late Sunday/early Monday. I assume responsibility in part when I took my first bite the chicken didn't bad it just felt different in my mouth. Now it's Wed and I'm still not well. It's hot out and maybe that effected the chicken? I'm sad however that I'll never feel the same about this restaurant as I did before this. read more

The service was ok. The staff was friendly. The atmosphere was nice and relaxed even during a busy dinner service but the food itself left a lot to be desired as it was overpriced and poor quality. Do Not, and I repeat DO NOT order the won-tons! You get a dozen for $8.00 and they are just fried wrappers without any stuffing. It's not that the stuffing fell out while being cooked...nope! They were never stuffed with anything to begin with. They were literally just wrappers fried in oil. I can purchase a pack of 50 won-ton wraps at any grocery store for $2.99 and don't know a single person who would want to eat them plain. Needless to say, I will not be going back or recommending this place to anyone. Thanks, but no thanks. Had take out from here for the first time tonight, and I must say I was very impressed. Now it's not Chinatown in NYC good by any stretch, but it was some of the tastiest Chinese Food I have had in Tucson. The dishes were plentiful, so not sure where the small portion complaints come from, and hot and fresh. The dishes we had were very flavorful and quite satisfying. The fried rice was a bit on the oily side, but it had great flavor, and the meats in it were plentiful. The star of the show was the Spicy Beef Dish, didn't see a menu, so not sure if it was Hunan or Mongolian Beef, but it was fantastic. Full of flavor and just the right amount of spicy kick, OUTSTANDING!! I would definitely order from here again. A coworker brought this in for us tonight, and I am truly grateful, as this will be a regular stop for me in the future. read more

When we lived in Tucson we would eat here or get take out and it was good. We came for the gem and mineral show and are staying near the restaurant so my wife wanted to go there. Friday there was a wait of 40 minutes. So Saturday we ordered take out. The online price and actual price ate different of course higher than online they said that they couldn't do anything about it. We ordered a family dinner to go what a mistake ! Soup was half a container with 2 wontons a small amount of vegetables and a small piece of maybe meat no flavor. The three small containers were just as disappointing. I would of felt better if someone would of robbed me of $40.00 then get cheated out of $40.00 for this garbage and price mistake. This place was our go to place for years . And last night may have been the last time we ate there. My family and I (wife, 2kids, and myself) stoped in to have dinner and let's say everything has changed . We ordered the usual, house rice, chow main, sweet and sour chicken and a war wonton soup. And let say none of us got seconds. The portions are super small now . The soup had no flavor and other food was ehh. Customer service was ok. Also the restaurant was full of smoke ??? Its good, when you go well dressed. My family and I went one weekend and it was good service and all. One day, my work crew went there for lunch and got some burnt ass orange chicken. Looked like they cooked that s%#t with soy sauce. The waiter was rushin us and gave us out check when we weren't even finished. Overall the place is clean and its got good vibes. Let me start by saying I have been a customer of this establishment for over 20yrs, but in the last 2yrs it has been declining rapidly. The food is still good WHEN you can a) get them to answer the damn phone and b) want to wait 60-90min for an order and c) want to be treated rudely and d) want to stand in the doorway with 20 other people trying to get take-out or find a seat. Something has to be done because I'm not the only one who is about done. Tonight for the 3rd time in a month tried to place a to-go order. Called 5x before someone answered and then was on hold for over 5min. When they finally came back on they told me it was a 90min wait, this was 6pm. So uh no, not waiting til 8pm to eat. I asked her "why this is ridiculous you can't be that busy" she replied "yes, do you want to wait or not" and then hung up on me. Guess they don't want my business, bye. read more
