Vegetable Lo Mein with thick rice noodles
    Erin D.

We were craving some good Chinese food and ran across China Szechwan, it's a small restaurant in a little strip mall. When we entered we were pleasantly greeted and seated. We looked over the menu and found a lot of tasty looking veggie options. Our waiter was very helpful and provided us with some really delicious recommendations. We ended up getting the vegetarian low mein but with rice noodles, salted spicy tofu, and the eggplant in garlic sauce. Everything was delicious and the 3 dishes were a great combination. If you're in the mood for Chinese food, this place is a real hidden gem. They have a lot of options and are very accommodating to vegetarian and vegan diets.

First impressions- Another Chinese restaurant in a strip mall. 4 other tables, we were guided to one. A large tv flashes pictures of dishes on the back wall. Menus and tea was brought quickly. We were greeted by a delightful young lady who took her time explaining the 2 different menus, American and Szechuan. We went with 2 orders of spicy pork dumplings, one garlic chicken entree and boiled chicken. Appetizers- spicy pork dumplings - a nice soft steamed dumpling drizzled in a spicy pepper and red sauce topped with chives. A nice flavor, decent dish, would do again. Egg and spring rolls hand rolled. Well fried, nice crunch. Entrees, Garlic chicken, delicious flavor. Tender white meat chicken with water chestnuts, carrots, celery, and onion. Water boiled chicken. Much like a stew, tender chicken, cabbage, cilantro, onion. Another savory dish. All in all I can't say this in my top to go Chinese but it is up there. A good experience for a decent price A+

Great little family run Sichuan place. Lots of variety including special Sichuan menu. Whole fish and duck dishes. Super friendly. Reasonable prices.

First timer. It's small and cozy. The staff attended us quickly. Our waiter made some suggestions. In which I took. We had the combination sampler, egg rolls, fried shrimp, some type of Rib. Overall the food was great. I recommend this place. What I did notice about it is that it had a lot of call in orders. So i seemed to be a popular place for pickup.

BBQ pork and rice was good, not sweet enough but a big portion makes up for that I'll try this place again, staff is friendly.

I should probably pop in for dinner sometime. The lunch was typical Chinese place lunch menu, quick and a good variety of options with complimentary add ons like puffs and soup. No eggroll though. The food was good and the portions was large for the price. Dinner would probably allow then to flex a bit. The service was fast and friendly. Strip mall Chinese restaurants vary quite a bit in quality, this one is good.

Bland chinese vegetables with black mushrooms. Only veggies are the shrooms and bok choy

The win, the home run of the meal SIZZLING Shrimp. Eggplant, pounded shrimp in between eggplant slices, onions, and green and red peppers. The sauce has black pepper in it and a tad spicy. Fantastic. I've never had pounded shrimp but yummy. The eggplant was cooked perfectly. The menu doesn't mention the green and red peppers, but they are in there. The dud, and look totally are fault for ordering it, chinese vegetables and black mushrooms. Bland City. It consists of bok choy and black mushrooms in a white zero flavor sauce. They give you white rice for each dish. For an appetizer, we went with the veggie eggrolls. I liked how they cut them, rather than you trying to eat hot. They bring out the sweet sauce, so if you want hot mustard you have to ask for it. Service is very good. We each had an ice tea, it's okay. The place is in a strip right after you cross ft.lowell if you are going down Campbell. Ample parking.

The food was amazing! The service was top notch and the ambiance was what you typically see at a Chinese food restaurant. I ordered the Kung Pao Chicken and my husband got the curry chicken. Both were flavorful and fresh. The egg roll was hit and crispy so was the crab ragoon. We also had the hit and sour soup and it was on point. After wasting money on Chinese restaurants I have finally found my spot!!a Must try!!!

New to Tucson and drove by this place and since I had been on the hunt for a good mom and pop place this seemed to call me so I turned around and went back. When I arrived I was immediately greeted with a smile and was asked how she could help. I asked for a menu as I was hoping to order something to go. After receiving my menu I was offered some water while I looked to find my meal which I thought was nice and was offered a seat as well. I am a sucker for crab puffs so I chose that as well as the lemon chicken which is my favorite. I was looking for something budget friendly and thought the price was a bit high but since I was at a new place I thought well let's try it! The restaurant itself was well lit and clean with tables bussed and nothing on the floors. It was 8pm so it wasn't busy but had plenty of pickup orders which is always a good sign. My order did not take long and I was on my way! Upon getting home I was surprised at how much chicken I received! Packaged well in a plastic container which didn't leak all over like other places. Not much rice but I was ok with it as I expected I would be full from the chicken. It was super hot fresh and easy to eat! The crab puffs were not for me as they seemed to have a bit more onion than what I'm used to However, the freshness and quality of them was great! Just the right crisp with nothing burnt or chewy like some places. So I would say they were good just not my taste. The price for one person was just a little over 20 bucks which for me that was a bit high but again it will be nice to have some tomorrow since the portion size was a lot. Overall I definitely will be going back! Thank you for being kind clean and efficient! I can see why it is a neighborhood staple.
