My first visit here, and i came here based upon other yelp reviews. I was definitely led astray..or perhaps today was an off day. I ordered house lomein, house fried rice, bbq bonless ribs, and 3 eggrolls for my family. It was underwhelming...very..the pork was extremely dry think jerky with sweet red sauce poured over it..yuck. The rice was some weird yellow rice with shrimp pork peas n onion in it but it just didn't work as Ny chinese food..not even close! The lomein was grossss light beige noodles..didnt ever make it to stir fry..nope. The eggrolls are just okay frozen then fried taste, but definitely the best part of our bad meal Im sorry this place falls short of even being good. Last night on my way home from work I decided to give them another try. The person who took my order was very nice. I asked him a question about an item & he was not sure of the answer & he put me on hold to get the correct info. I appreciated that he took that extra step. He was young but very professional & helpful. I normally am not a hot & sour soup fan. This soup had loads of mushrooms which I loved & had great flavor. It was spicy but not overpowering. I ordered this for a friend but it was good. I ordered the steamed chicken & veggies. It is a large serving & can easily be shared by two. The white meat chicken was thinly sliced & the veggies were very fresh. They steamed it perfectly. I am glad I gave Bamboo Wok another try. A friend at work recommended this place to me. I gave up on the Chinese take out places in my end of town because the food was not good. Bamboo Wok is close to where I am working for the summer and by the time I got out off today I was too hot and exhausted to cook. Twenty minutes and twenty dollars got me a sweet and sour chicken and pork with mixed vegetables to go. Both meals came with fried rice, egg rolls, and won ton soup. They have have a counter with boxes of condiments like mustard and duck sauce so you can grab what you want on your way out. This place is strictly take out but it was perfect for what I wanted. When I got home and finally tasted the food it was delicious. There was plenty of chicken and pork and the vegetables were crisp which I like. Everything was great and the price was right. I even have left overs for tomorrow. I am sure I will be back to try some of their other dishes soon. read more

After eating here since 2002 or so and being a loyal customer, I'm sad to say my family won't be returning. Since their 2+ month closure in March, the restaurant has been unable to make a correct order. Four times since they opened back up, all four times we have ordered, they have screwed up our orders by missing meals completely (3 times), or giving the wrong food (1 time). The food is not worth the aggravation any longer. Ridiculous. The people manning the phones need to be more considerate and pay attention when the customers are speaking to them, and verify orders instead of quoting a price and rushing them off the phone. Decided to try on a whim - don't live in the area and noticed it just driving by. Checked Yelp to see what it was all about and seemed to be well-liked! So the next time I was in the area, I tried it...and loved it!!!! I've been back 3 times already in the last few weeks. I'm a fan of the steamed dumplings - the dipping sauce is really flavorful. Soups & egg rolls are all delicious along with the Egg Foo Young, Shrimp with Broccoli, and Lo Mein. The only thing we haven't been a big fan of is the fried rice. It's not bad but a little too bland for our taste. Overall, take a chance and try it - you won't be disappointed!!! read more

We ordered Crab Rangoon, Pork egg rolls, fried chicken wings, General Tso's chicken, sesame chicken, and shrimp lo mein. All but the crab Rangoon was unappetizing. The wings were soggy. The egg rolls were mostly bland cabbage and unseasoned. The General Tso's had no flavor, was remarkably dry, as was the sesame chicken and both were gummy. The lo mien was nothing but unseasoned, plain noodles. There were three shrimp and a couple pieces of vegetables. I'm very disappointed and Never ordering from here again. Probably the best Chinese food we have had since we moved here. The ingredients are fresh and delicious. The portions are huge! You can easily share a combo dish between two people. They give you soup, egg roll and fried rice with your choice of main entree. The brown sauce that they use on the chicken and broccoli dish is amazing! You know those days where you get a craving for some awesome Chinese food? Well that craving hit our household yesterday and my husband asked me to find a good, local place. Saw one of my friends had given this place a good review, we opted for Bamboo Wok. Being new to the area, my mother had advised us to find some staple eateries: a good Italian/pizza place, Chinese food, sushi and breakfast place. And after our takeout meal last night, looks like we found one of our staples!!! :) After reviewing the menu online, we decided on two dinner specials and an order of Crab Rangoon. He got beef and broccoli, which comes with pork fried rice and a pork egg roll and I got chicken and broccoli with white rice and the pork egg roll. Each dinner came with a soup of our choice, and we each got wonton soup. We were hoping they delivered, but unfortunately they do not. But it isn't far from our house, so it wasn't a big deal. The man I spoke with on the phone was polite and wanted to make sure he got my whole order correct, so he read back my order. When all was confirmed, he said about 10 minutes, which is pretty standard. When I went in to pick it up, he greeted me when I approached the counter and re-read my order to be 110% sure and I thought that was awesome and great customer service, as it shows he wanted me to leave happy and with the right food. After I paid, he pointed to the cooler by the door and told me the dinners each got a can of soda. I was very pleased with the value and also grabbed a menu on the way out. He thanked me as I was leaving as well. When I got home, I started with my chicken, rice and egg roll with a few crab rangoons. It was nice and hot consistently throughout and was flavourful. I opted to save my soup for tomorrow's lunch and the rest of my chicken and broccoli and rice for dinner tomorrow as well. My husband was very quiet while eating so that was a great sign and even picked at his leftovers the rest of the evening. I asked him if he liked his dinner and it is a repeat and he answered enthusiastically that yes, he was really happy with his food and is definitely a repeat. The only reason why this was a 4 out of 5 stars is because they do not have delivery, which can be a possible reason we in the future might have to use another place for a meal. With that in mind, we won't use the "no delivery" as a way to never go back, we just need to plan to go pick it up :) the food was delicious and is definitely worth ordering from again and again!!! I've been going to this place for a couple years now and it seems like the wife will never be friendly when I call it sounds like she's yelling through the phone. The steam pork is always a hit or miss I ordered some last week and they were stale. However the vegetable fried rice is pretty good and sometimes the fried chicken wings. The breaded chicken has way to much coating of bread, and the egg drop soup tastes okay... not that highly rated. I however recommend the vegetable fried rice, crab Rangoon's and their chicken wings. read more

Very cut and dry no extras no matter how you look at it but the food is good, there's not a whole lot of amazing things to mention... but if you want good Chinese takeout without issues or without getting sick, and you're willing to pay "normal," prices bamboo wok is exactly where you'll find it. Been coming here off and on for a few years. Mostly, it has been good to mediocre. This time, thought I would try the Orange Beef...one of their specialties!!! Ugh, what a mistake. It was literally disgusting. I've had orange beef before, that's why I ordered it. But, their orange beef consists of minute to non-existent pieces of beef gristle embedded in a deep fried ball of dough covered in a syrupy sweet sauce. I tried to just peel off the dough, but, in most cases I found that there was nothing inside...just deep fried balls of dough. I drive 15 minutes to come here. You can see into the kitchen its clean.. Most of their food is exactly what it should be for a regular daily place to eat as opposed to an amazing gourmet experience. The food here is pretty real, not excessively salty or sweet. The rice is long grain and cooked to perfection most of the time. It is somewhere you can eat regularly and it won't do horrible things to you. Most of the time this is a great place, the people are very nice, its an easy & consistent experience. They seem to use all fresh things especially the vegetables, and their sauces are great also. My only criticism** is that sometimes the egg drop soup has so much corn starch in it.... that is literally turned into a thick or clumpy goo.... Other times its really good but they need to tone down the corn starch in that soup in general. Then they would be @ 100% for basic but clean & reliable Chinese Take Out in Florida =) read more

Their "New York style" take-out is spot on, except that the quality of the food is way better than the average take-out place. I ordered chicken in a honey garlic sauce. It was unique and I'm glad I tried it, but it was a little bit sweeter than I'd have really liked. Nevertheless, the chicken was cooked perfectly (all white meat) and was prepared quickly. I work nearby and a few of my coworkers and I have been ordering from here for 2 years. Its always hit or miss. I usually get the Buddah's delight and 3 times I have had to bring it back because the brown sauce is coagulated and gelatin like. They never once apologize. I finally decided to write a review because the last time I ordered and had to bring it back, I actually stood there and watched them cook. I was appalled by how dirty this place is and the employees. The guy who was taking orders, talking on the phone, was touching money, cash register and all of a sudden walks over to make wontons without washing his hands!!!!
