I have been visiting BAMBU for around a year now and this is my go to place when I want bubble tea! I have tried a few of their drinks and I love their Thai tea with coconut milk, basil seeds and coconut milk. I also enjoy the Vietnamese coffee and the avocoffee drink. This place never gets my drink wrong and I am glad that it is convenient to go to when I am at work. This place can be relatively busy most days so you might have to wait but other than that this place is worth five stars! read more

I don't intend on coming back. Although the service was nice, I was unhappy with my drink. I ordered the #1 and instead of getting fresh longan in the drink, I got the dried longan. They put so much that the longan flavor overpowered the coconut juice. Also, they put about 1/3 of the cup of sugar in my drink and so it was way too sweet for me. What a waste of 6.5. Clean, fast, friendly, and nice chill environment with friends while having something sweet to drink. Only gripe is that their drink isn't as good as McLaughlin ave. Vietnam town San Jose location. The coconut milk they put in their drinks are diluted and not aromatic and rich in creamy consistency like in other locations. I feel cheated. I'd rather pay $.50 higher if its a profit issue for the right coconut milk mixture. For a Vietnamese person who grew up with Che desserts, fresh tasting coconut milk in Che desserts is extremely important to make the whole cocktail authentic and wanting to come back for more. They're just cheating themselves by not putting in thicker 100% coconut milk or else they'd have more people come back in lines. What a shame. That's why I docked a star. I tried out this Bambu after learning that the location in Cupertino closed down. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll come back :( The #6 dessert drink was my go-to, but the one I ordered here just wasn't as good as the ones I've had previously. Too much ice on top made the drink difficult to consume, and then when the ice softened, it diluted out the rest of the drink. Maybe there's a way to ask for less ice? I'd rate this place two stars because I come to Bambu for the sole purpose of ordering a #6 dessert drink, but there were a few saving graces that are giving back an extra star. First, I did also order a red bean pearl milk tea for a friend, which I liked! Good milk tea taste, nice chewy pearls, and great red beans. The cashier was very friendly and offered samples of the two types of red beans they had as well, before letting me choose which ones I wanted. This is the first bubble place I've found that does my ideal order- a sugar free almond milk latte with boba. I find most bubble tea is too sweet and fattening, plus I love caffeine. Normal lattes are ok, but their chewy bobas are so fresh and delicious. I love coming here with my three year old. She loves to dance and just hang out when it's not busy. She gets this cute spider man cookie with cream cheese frosting. It's so delicate- just perfection. I'm going to buy a bunch for my mom's birthday party. (Not the spider man ones, necessarily!) I can only imagine how great the ones with ice cream in the middle taste. And people rave about their mochi. I'll have to update my review after I try it. read more

I've been to BAMBU numerous times and I've been struggling with the menu. The first time I tried BAMBU, I ordered the #24: Black and Grey. It's a tasty drink made of black grass jelly and (grey) basil seeds. I absolutely love this drink. I order it either with no sweetener or just a little sweetener (you can tailor it to your preference!). I don't like drinks that are too sweet and since neither component of this drink are naturally sweet, it's just perfect for me. Every subsequent time, I've looked at the menu of lots of cool drinks and wanted to try something new. But I always end up getting the Black and Grey because I know I love it. I've brought friends to BAMBU and sometimes gotten food-envy over their non Black and Grey drinks. But I'm comforted by the tastiness of my... Black and Grey. One of these days, I'll try something new. I've been wanting to try the #1: Bambu Special. If I manage to break my old habit, I'll post an update about it. I got their Taro Milk Tea, which they say is made of real taro! I was busy talking so I didn't pay much attention to see if it really taste like real taro. It didn't taste as good as Taro Milk Tea from Fantasia or Sharetea, but it's pretty hard to find places that make their Taro Milk Tea out of real taro instead of powder so I'm not gonna complain. What's really cool is they have a conference room in the back if you want to have a private conversation! I never knew about it. The sunnyvale location for some reason does not live up to the mark. The staff is very friendly and place is well located. I think Bambu drinks are by far the most fun drinks. Bambu drinks are like getting a whole desert - not just a drink or cold smoothie. My favorite is the fruit addict - Coconut Milk with Jello, Lychee, Longan, Jackfruit, Palm Seed, Red Tapioca, Coconut Meat and Pandan Jelly... Yummy - so many tropical fruit treats that take me back in time to my childhood. The jello/jelly and tapioca are all fun to experience ... This drink is topped with shaved ice and it a lot of fun to eat/drink. The service at this store great ... they added some beans to my drink. I once went with a friend who didnt want a whole drink and just wanted to taste it ... the nice man in the back who makes the drinks got my friend a complimentary small drink so that he could experience it.
