Our neighbors introduced us to Bambu Garden and it quickly became our go-to for Chinese food. We have only ever gotten take out but the food has been great and quick every time and the staff is friendly. The restaurant looks very nice inside from when I've picked up food so I anticipate we will dine in often as well. Our favorites so far are the Pecking ribs and the eggplant in spicy garlic sauce with pork. I could seriously eat multiple orders of the eggplant dish all to myself! read more

Wow! I may have just found our go to for take out Chinese food here in Roseville. Location: 5/5 Super convenient since it's only 10 min from my house. It's located in a large plaza near the Safeway making parking easy Service: 5/5 I had called 40 min prior to closing. When I had called I had asked if I can still order take out. I asked because I have experienced a few places that don't take orders close to closing. The lady on the phone was so sweet with her response letting me know it was absolutely ok and that our order will be ready in 10 min. When we picked up our food we learned her name is Jan. She was just as sweet in person. We got there in exactly 10 min and our food was ready. Food: 5/5 We ordered 5 items and it cost $82. In 2023, that is not bad at all. Portions were a very decent size. And food was delicious. I have to say the best Chinese food we have tried in Roseville so far. I will expose though that I am almost positive they use MSG. We ordered house fried rice, house chow mein, sweet and sour pork, salt and pepper pork, and salt and pepper fish. Every dish I got that glorious taste of the wok I always look for when having Chinese. Overall, first experience and definitely not our last. I have been coming here on and off for the last 8 years. It's also the favorite place my ex coworkers go during lunch and at times we go together. Their rice plates are good portions. I always get either the sweet and sour pork or my favorite Mongolian beef combo. As I remembered, when restaurants were allowed to slowly opened, me, my wife and my mom in law came here to eat as well. Tonight I came here on my wife's invitation after work. She already got the pan fried noodles. Again it was big portion. We shared and manage to finished most of it. I give 5 star because their staff are friendly, attentively proactive (filling your water, checking tea etc.) and they always smile at you, greet you and say bye to you. We ordered lunch specials they are a decent size but a little over priced for lunch specials. I had got the Mongolian beef extra spicy and it wasn't even spicy which was disappointing. The rice was not flavorful. I added a whole package of soy sauce I felt it was lacking something. The egg roll was big and crunchy I did enjoy the egg roll. The salad for the lunch special was warm I would have preferred another side of rice. Besides that they were quick to make my order and place seemed quiet and clean. This is a 5-star restaurant tucked into a corner of a strip mall. The food is totally excellent. It has an extensive menu. They make and present familiar key dishes in an exceptional way. I'm from a Chinese immigrant family, well versed in the cuisine, and have been to top Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singaporean, SF, Silicon Valley and NYC restaurants. This one rates with them. Bambu Garden has been a Roseville landmark restaurant for the past decade or so, serving delicious Asian cuisine, which offerings on the menu native to China, Mongolia, Vietnam and Thailand. As you enter the restaurant, you'll notice the attractive, yet possible dated decor, which could be best described as "old school Chinese," but that term is subjective to the imagination. There are many artificial plants, paper lanterns, Chinese figures - the style of Taiwan... of course - and lots of comfortable seating. In my opinion, the dining room is beautiful. The bar features ten high stools around a comfortable bar that serves beer, wine and sake. The dining room is spacious, clean and comfortable, and features seating for large groups. Since I "opened" up the restaurant on this late Tuesday morning, the dining room was lightly seated, but it filled up during my visit. I went with the "Lunch Special" section of the menu. Since today was my first visit to Bambu Garden, I started at the "top" of the menu and went with "L1," which was "Mongolian Beef." Oh yeah! The "Soup of the Day" today was "Hot and Sour" soup, which is absolutely my favorite soup, when is comes to Chinese cuisine! I truly believe that I hit the "jackpot" today at Bambu Garden! The small bowl of soup was simply an appetizer, but it was a delicious bowl of soup, as it started out with a thick, rich and spiced chicken broth, which is the foundation of a great soup. Bamboo shoots, tofu, chili peppers, garlic, red cabbage and more was in this delicious soup, which was served, as the name implies, "hot and sour" and made for a delicious soup. My main lunch arrived less than five minutes after I'd enjoyed the first couple spoonfuls of this delicious soup. No worries, as the soup made an amazing "side" to my lunch! From the "Lunch Special" section of the menu, I went with "L1," which featured Mongolian beef. Like all offerings on the "Lunch Special" menu, my lunch included soup-of-the-day, my choice of rice, fresh salad, along with a crispy "Imperial Roll." Bambu Garden doesn't skimp on the beef, as my lunch included a very generous portion of thinly sliced, seasoned, marinated and grilled to perfection Mongolian beef, which was the "main event" of my lunch. The beef was grilled with green and white onions, garnished with shredded carrot slices, marinated in soy sauce and tossed with sesame seeds. I could also taste and smell the amazing aroma of Thai-influenced peanut sauce, but it was subtle and added an extra dimension of flavor to this amazing lunch. The white and green onions were simply delicious, and when added to the beef, made for an amazing combination of flavor and a beautiful presentation for my camera. Lunch included your choice of steamed or fried rice, and since I'm a "health freak," I went with fried rice, and I simply loved it! The rice was perfectly steamed to perfection, then fried, with peas and carrots added to make for a perfect side of fried rice. Along with the rice, my lunch included a small cup of red sweet and sour sauce, which I poured over the fried rice, to add another layer of amazing Asian flavor. My salad was very basic, with mostly lettuce, but it was crisp, fresh, and added a "healthy" aspect to this delicious lunch. The "Imperial Roll" was a basic deep fried roll, mostly stuffed with shredded cabbage, with a little pork mixed in, which provided about three large bites of crunchy goodness, and was especially great when dipped into the "Hot and Sour" soup. The "bottom line" about my lunch at Bambu Garden? When it comes to Asian cuisine in Roseville, my lunch was as good as it gets. I especially loved the beef - duh - but the rice, salad and "Imperial Roll" enhanced the lunch, and added to the flavor. Oh yes... the "Hot and Sour" soup... It's my "go-to" when it comes to Asian cuisine, and the soup at Bambu Garden was simply delicious! When it comes to delicious Asian cuisine, served in an "old school" Chinese dining room, Bambu Garden as you covered, because if the dish you're looking is Asian, it's most likely on their menu, and your food will be delicious. The one observation that stuck out to me was that they had several people on staff, only a few tables were busy, yet after the food was served, they didn't check for more water or anything. Bambu Garden is my go to place in the Roseville area for family style Chinese food. I cannot recommend this place enough. They are always super consistent in the food that they are making, I always know what I am getting when I come here and most importantly it is always fresh. I know that when I'm coming here the service is impeccable, whether or not you're sitting inside and dining in or if you're getting your delicious eats to go. If you are dining in, know that it's set up like your traditional American Chinese restaurant. They don't have tons of space inside, so larger parties may be a bit of a wait. All in all I hope you get a chance to come here because I'm already dreaming of the ways I can get the honey walnut shrimp again. read more

The serving portions are very generous which is good because the prices are pretty high. The restaurant is tucked into the corner of a strip mall by Safeway and the staff are friendly. Hot and sour soup too sweet no sour and no spice. Bland bland bland. Lemon chicken mediocre, the worst part is the bright yellow sauce so most likely an institutional product and not made when cooked, the chicken and breading had the consistency of McDonalds chicken nugget, an obvious frozen product. The Singapore noodles absolute worst I've had, no flavor and greasy! There was no curry excepted on the top/outside of the dish. The noodles were clumped together ice cold greasy and flavorless as you dig into them further only good thing on the plate were the few shrimp they tossed in it, no pork, no chicken very few veggies. Just sad the place is nice inside, was clean, like I said everyone nice and friendly. But the food was just horrible, it makes Panda Express seem like Michelin star quality. Open for takeout only [COVID-19 edition] It used to be Bambu Asian Cuisine, now it's the new Bambu with their familiar favorite Chinese & Vietnamese dishes. I've dined here before with my mom at the former name and food was great. Unlike Sacramento Roseville has limited good Chinese restaurants and I consider Bambu one of the better ones. Came here for takeout (only option offered during pandemic). I placed an order for a Mongolian Beef combo, not spicy (that's important because I don't do too well with spicy foods). The gal/hostess that took my order was really sweet and friendly. There were seats available to wait inside but I opted to wait outside and she brought my food to me. Food was prepared at a decent time. My Mongolian Beef was cooked fresh and just the way I like it, not spicy. The combo came with BBQ pork fried rice (or choice of steamed rice or chicken chow mein) and egg roll (or cheese wonton), oh, and soup also (but not for takeout). The Mongolian Beef was delicious with a nice even ratio of beef, green onions, and yellow onions but the fried rice was only okay. The cream cheese wonton were delicious with the red dipping sauce. They also included a lightly breaded appetizer with chicken filling (I think it's called golden fingers from their menu, not sure) which was generous... thank you! The food was plentiful! The service was good, but the food was terrible. I ordered the lunch special shrimp with lobster sauce had no flavor. I couldn't even eat it. They put white onions in it and all you could taste with onions. My husband ordered Mongolian beef and they brought it. It was burnt. I can't believe they served it.
