I was excited to support a new restaurant and saw their food on TikTok. I came with my husband and daughter on Saturday at 10am. We stood at the front for a few minutes waiting for someone to greet us, with the restaurant being empty we figured we could sit down anywhere. So we sat and waited a few more minutes. The staff was in the back but visible chatting and laughing. I kindly asked for a high chair and if it was okay to sit in the open booth. The female waitress looked us up and down and said " you're already sitting there ....so I guess it's okay" smirked and then went to grab a high chair. We felt unwanted and just left. Anewshka was a very pleasant server she noticed that my pancakes were half eaten. She deepened the conversation asking was I not satisfied and quickly asked if I would like something else in replacement of it . I said no when she came back with the check she asked again if I would like drink or something to make up for the pancakes , I thanked her and said no . THIS IS THE CHEAP LOOKING OMLETE THEY GAVE ME WHEN I ORDERED DELIVERY THROUGH UBEREATS!!! I got the banana leaf omelette and the Thai tea French toast. Like what the heck his this?? The omelette was supposed to come with potatoes INSIDE IT and their were none. There was no side of toast either . $18 for a raggedy omelette. On the dine in pictures, it looked WAY bigger and COMPLETE. The French toast wasn't special either. I highly doubt I will give this place any business after this. Came here for brunch as a recommendation & I will definitely be coming back! I tried the Thai Tea French Toast and it was to die for and was presented very nice and beautiful as I didn't want to eat it! The second time I tried the lemon ricotta pan cakes and I could barely taste any lemon but barely just a hint. Next time I'll try the Thai Tea pancakes since the french toast were a hit! Service is super fast but it does get packed as this restaurant is quite small so if you have a larger party I would suggest making reservations especially on a Sunday as they do have bottomless mimosa's. I also believe this place was mentioned on Tic Toc so that could be a reason why it does get busy but good for the company as it helps their business! read more

They have bottomless mimosas here but if you are a BIG bottomless person (like I am), this is not the place to go. On average, you get only three mimosas for bottomless which, to me, isn't bottomless lol. I've gone to many places where it is truly bottomless and the drinks flow. This place is very slow with their pours so don't expect anything. They shouldn't brand it bottomless imo. But their food is great! That's it though lol. read more

They have a $20 special at dinner time (in the restaurant - not sure if it's offered at lunch too) for an appetizer, main and a drink. Generous portions of very tasty food! Great service. Over priced and terrible service! We had reservations at 2pm and didn't get our food until 3:30, and that's not an exaggeration! Do not buy the appetizers, the portions for calamari are super small, there were maybe 8 rings and 1 tentacle, will only feed 1 person for $12. The wings were even smaller and flavorless, they gave us 6 of the tiniest wings I've ever had. Thank god my main dish didn't come out to the table because I would've spent over $40 for a terrible meal. We asked for the manager multiple time and he never came by our table. I like going to culturally infusing restaurants, to experience a mixture of foods and flavors. Maybe it's just what I got, but the dish did not fuse well together. The coffee was terrible. The waffles were dry and chicken was bland. The syrup did not improve or hide the taste. This was the third time here, and the food quality has gone down. I think this is their third restaurant. The one in Berkeley on San Pablo and the one in Pleasant Hill had better quality and food. the server stood by while using credit card machine, watching you tip and sign. Not sure why this place is rated so highly. The service was challenging as our server's English was difficult to navigate. One person in our party (my partner) is highly allergic to nuts so we asked for no nuts in anything and when the food arrived, there were nuts in it. Not sure they understand that this can kill a person with this type of allergy. I ordered yellow curry and it was bad - so bad, I took two bites and left it. They had the door open and it was freezing inside the restaurant. No one wants to eat dinner bundled up in winter jacket and clothing. Come on folks, it's not that hard. We had dinner here the other night because my wife had been here for breakfast with some of her friends and raved about the food. We had reservations for 5pm and were early so we waited until they officially opened. The location is very convenient and they have a parking lot they share with other businesses including a marijuana dispensary (which had a long line of people). The interior of the restaurant is very nice and we were the only table except for a person waiting for a to go order. We were seated right away and waters were brought to the table including a bottle of water for the table. We ordered some appetizers which consisted of fresh spring rolls and the chicken wings. The spring rolls were very good! They didn't come out quickly so I believe they prepare them to order. The chicken wings were good and they come with a sweet and sour sauce. We had wonton soup, Paradise chicken, crab fried rice, and Mountain Beef. Honestly, all of the dishes were delicious! This is a place I would definitely come back to even though I don't live in the area! They have a breakfast and lunch menu also and the dishes sound great so I would definitely try to have breakfast or lunch next time! I highly recommend this place for a great meal! The prices are comparable but their Chef's Specials are a little more than the rest of the dinner menu but worth the price! read more

We came as a geek up of 10 people for a birthday brunch and we all left satisfied with the service, food and ambience. Their brunch menu is amazing - think Thai but with brunch flare to it. The savory and the sweet options were all great. The pratha stayed crispy throughout the meal and usually it gets soft but this did not. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy and very tasty. My wife ordered the SF island egg omelette, my daughter had the Mama Pad Kee Mao, son had the rib eye teriyaki bowl and I had the traditional French toast meal with 2 eggs and chicken apple sausage. This is the second time I've gotten food here since they changed management. Overall I think the food is quite tasty and would normally give 5 stars, but I ordered a side of peanut sauce for $4 and I was given one of those small maybe 1 oz containers of it. This is especially frustrating since on my previous order (via doordash) I had added an extra side of peanut sauce to my spring rolls for $1.50 and it was the same size as the one I was given tonight . I'm so glad we chose Banana Leaf to have a catch-up brunch! The service was exemplary, the food was delicious, and the ambiance was cute. They have a full brunch offering that includes some Instagram-worthy items like Thai Tea Pancakes and Stuffed French Toast. My friend and I both got the Loco Moco (regular, they also have a duck option) which was incredible. The meat patty came with crispy fried basil leaves and the mushroom gravy was perfectly flavored. With rice dishes, they can be too salty and I end up eating all of the rice before I can finish the main, but the seasoning for the meat and gravy was perfect and I was able to eat all parts of the dish equally! That might not be a concern for everyone, but it's satisfying for me. We also got coffee with free refills, and they were on top of refilling and making sure we didn't get low on coffee! No extra charge to split the bill (between 2 people) and it was pretty quiet on a Friday morning so we ended up staying longer than our bill to catch up and they were kind to let us stay and chat.
