Went here for last drinks and some snacks. Plenty of parking spaces and from the look outside, looks like nothing happening but once you enter, you feel like you're no longer in OC. Still look the same with led lights and cool vibe. Nice music as background and service is still fantastic...drinks are great, foods still good. Glad we stopped by for last drinks before heading home.

came here for an anniversary dinner and it was so romantic. the ambience is dark, moody and private. it was pretty empty on a weekday. service was great. my favorites were the banana miso, lychee mocktail and waygu bibimbap. they were all so delicious and flavorful and very filling. this is a great date spot i highly recommend.

Came to CIR Lounge for a quick date night with my spouse, definitely more of a vibe spot. Started with the caviar, which was solid. Pork buns were good too, just a little on the fatty side but still flavorful. The truffle seafood fried rice had a good amount of seafood, just wish the truffle came through a bit more. Old fashioned was well done. Atmosphere is nice, dim and loungey, but music can get pretty loud. Not necessary when there are only 8 people in the establishment. Service was quick and everything came out fast. Overall, good for a night out or drinks with some bites. Not perfect, but I'd come back.

If you know, you know! Great place to go grab a drink, especially Japanese whiskey. They have a lot to choose from too- top shelf! There is a full food menus you can try as well. Plenty of parking too. It's very dark in there so it's not a good place to conduct a work meeting and also it can be loud as well. Think bar like environment.

very upscale, with dark, moody lighting and subtle Asian touches in the decor. The house music gives it a club-like energy while still maintaining a romantic vibe, making it a great spot for a date or a special night out. Service was impeccable, especially considering there were only two servers working during our visit. Caviar Cones - 9/10: Greatbalance of sweet, salty, and slightly spicy flavors. The use of an actual waffle cone for caviar was a creative twist. Uni and Unagi Chawanmushi - 8/10: Silky and super umami. Potato Korokke - 7/10: Crispy on the outside with a mash potato-esque interior. Came with two dipping sauces, a truffle ranch and a curry sauce. Both flavourful but a little thin. Wagyu Steak - 9/10: Perfectly cooked slices of A5 wagyu. Every element on the plate complemented the steak beautifully, and the presentation was stunning. Miso Cake - 7.5/10: The cake itself was slightly spongey for my taste, but the tableside presentation with the flames was a fun touch. Paired nicely with vanilla ice cream and banana.

Had reservations for a post Valentine's day dinner and it was well worth it. The space is small, dimly lit, and has a cool sexy vibe. Music selection was also good. We had reservations at opening and were the first seated. We ordered a variety to sample their menu: Uni Unagi Chawanmushi 5/5: i dont usually care for chawanmushi but CIR's take is excellent. Silky and savory. A must order Potato Korokke 4/5: light and crispy. Perfect with the truffle dipping sauce. The curry sauce was okay. Crispy pork belly buns 4/5: comes with a generous slab of pork in each bun. Comes with 3 and each is filling. Oysters rockefeller 3/5 and raw oysters 4/5: im used to oysters rockefeller well cooked with a cheesy topping, CIRs version is more on the rare side with a crispy topping. Raw oysters were more enjoyable, toppings and sauce a better combination. Caviar cones 4/5: bite sized cones but the spicy tuna with caviar flavors are noticeable and perfect with crunchy texture of the cone. Cone could be thinner for a better balance. Hamachi crudo 3.5/5: thick slices of hamachi and appreciated the rainbow seaweed salad. However, this dish was unremarkable. Bone marrow bibimbap 5/5: yes, the price is steep for such a small dish but the flavors were rich and delectable. Banana miso cake 5/5: a marriage of banana foster and a butter cake. Perfect ending. We sampled a few of their cocktails and they were all enjoyable and left us with a good buzz. I was pleasantly surprised with CIR and highly recommend for a date night. Our server was also fantastic: gentle, informative, and attentive.

I came here for date night and was initially skeptical because of the location--but the moment you step inside, it truly doesn't feel like Fountain Valley at all. The ambiance instantly transports you somewhere between Vegas and LA, with a stylish, upscale vibe that sets the tone for the entire experience. The service was amazing--attentive, polished, and well-paced--and the food exceeded expectations across the board. We started with several appetizers: potato korokke, crab croquette, crispy pork buns, baked cheese, and tuna caviar cones. Every single dish was beautifully presented and genuinely delicious--no weak links. For entrées, we ordered the Bone Marrow Bibimbap and the bone marrow & filet, and we loved every bite. Rich, indulgent, and thoughtfully executed--these are standout dishes worth coming back for. Dessert was the highlight of the night: the banana miso cake. The presentation alone was a showstopper, and the flavors absolutely delivered. Easily my favorite part of the meal. From the ambiance to the service to the food, this place is doing it right. I will most definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Cir Lounge for a date night or elevated dining experience.

The Stick Rice Xoi Xinh Review If you've ever wondered what a warm hug from a friendly Vietnamese grandma would taste like--minus the actual grandma--look no further than Xoi Xinh. I dropped by on a Friday just before noon and ordered the Xoi Cha Ca Com. At a wallet-friendly $10, the sticky rice comes perfectly chewy and the Cha ca was an amazing piece of nougat that was light and crispy on the outside and extremely flavorful/tender on the inside. From the photo, it's pretty clear this isn't a sit-down, chandelier-clinking, white-tablecloth sort of place. In fact, it's a pickup spot run by the hardworking folks from the CIR Lounge, operating daily from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., before transforming back into their evening persona when the main restaurant opens at 5 p.m. With friendly staffing and great food, this place definitely diserves my stamp of approval. If you're in the mood for something hearty without denting your lunch budget, Xoi Xinh might just stick with you (pun fully intended).

If you haven't booked a reservation here yet... you need to now!! Especially on a Friday night with amazing live music. I came here on a double date and it was the perfect romantic ambiance, dimly lit room with modern jazz vibes. Also, you can try everything on the menu when you have a party of 4! Well maybe 75% of the menu. Our waitress was amazing, attentive and checked in with us often. She gave us outstanding recommendations and we ordered them all! The food was WOW, WHOA and I can't even begin! Did you see the presentation!!? I mean... C'mon! The most fun appetizer I had was the caviar cones. Everyone was fighting for the last one! The crème fresh under the caviar, in the cone was genius! Perfect savory and creamy combo! This is the type of restaurant that makes you want to cry tears of joy, because the food is THAT good. The other stars of the show were the yuzu Chilean sea bass (perfect citrusy flakiness) and the hamachi crudo (I can eat this all day and drink the drizzle of crudo juice ). 10/10 highly recommend!!

This luxurious dinner spot is hidden away into a plaza in Fountain Valley. You really would not expect it at all from the outside, but it looks like a Vegas lounge on the inside. To match the ambience, the prices of the food is ridiculous. It's good, but I'm not sure any of it is necessarily worth the price. Caviar Cones - Worth it! They're tiny bites of spicy tuna, topped with creme fraiche and caviar. The cone is delicate to not overpower the fish, and there is a zesty component that brightens the whole bite. Hamachi Crudo - Fine! Generous slices of yellowtail, delicious sauce, wonderful side of seaweed salad. It was good, but the quality wasn't so much more amazing than other places that it warrants the doubled price tag. Bao Buns - Boring! These are straightforward, boring bao buns with an unbalanced amount of fillings, as with any bao bun though. It's too sweet, too decadent, and could never have enough room to be balanced with enough pickled veggies. Crab Croquette - Definitely not worth it! The table agreed that these were pretty pungent, and disappointing in terms of how little crab you get.  Lobster Sashimi - So good! The presentation was beautiful and it was really good. This is definitely a splurge, but it is really good. I'm torn. If you're already here spending the money, I would recommend getting this. Bone Marrow Bibimbap - Fun, but not worth it! It's a beautiful dish, and it is very fun to be mixed tableside. It's good, but it doesn't offer enough of anything to be worth the price. Chilean Sea Bass - Not good. This was also unfortunately very pungent. It was not very moist for a white fish, and we wished the sauce was citrussier.  Saigon Sling - Yummy, pretty sweet for a cocktail. All of their cocktails ran pretty sweet for the night, even the old fashioneds we got. Coffee Flan - Underwhelming, bitter without the coffee flavor. One-note. Banana Miso Cake - Best dish of the night. Soft banana cake with a great balance of sweet and salty. CIR is a nice spot, trying to be a luxury restaurant without offering the refined food or refined ambience to take it to that justified price range. It needs tailoring in the execution of the food, of the service, and of the curation of the environment to take it from a Vegas wannabe lounge to an upscale restaurant in the OC.

What a vibey spot for date night! Expect good music to just chat to. It's not somewhere you'd go to get rowdy, but more so to catch up with friends. The drinks were made perfectly. Reservations are definitely recommended seeing that it can get busy. We didn't order much food but desserts and an order of baos but let me tell you you, the baos were deelish! Nice and juicy. Reminded me of banh mi!

Great food. Very fresh, very cheap omakase but the food was amazing for the price! Great service, decor was a bit outdated and scratches along the walls and chips on the plates/decor. But overall was a solid bar and would highly recommend if you want great cheap omakase. Only available Wednesdays from 6-8pm.

This was our first visit to CIR Lounge. What a neighborhood gem. We walked over and can't believe this is the first time we gave it a try. The place is located in a strip mall at the corner of Brookhurst and Talbert, in the Amazon Fresh shopping center. Tucked quietly into a corner of the center, the building from the outside looks very plain and once you step through the doors, we were blown away. The inside is gorgeous. Dimly, but the atmosphere is cozy with low lights, candlelight and blue lights around the bar. On this visit we were seated at the bar, and Randy and Eva or Ava were working the bar. They were so friendly and welcoming. We checked out the bar menu, asked Randy for recommendations and settled on our choices. Mr. B ordered the smoked Nightcap old fashioned, and he very much enjoyed it. I chose the Fireside Spritz with vodka, pomegranate, House made spiced grenadine, Prosecco and Blackstrap bitters. It was scrumptious and I loved the creativity. We ordered the Baked Cheese, which is truffled brie cheese, perfectly melted and topped with an apricot cherry compote and finely chopped nuts. The crackers which came with it were really good and the cheese was amazing. I appreciated that there were just enough crackers to finish the cheese off. For dinner, Mr. B chose the Ahi Uma Kara Tower. Warm rice on the bottom and neatly stacked on top were mild greens, nori, Japanese mayo, soy, sesame, avocado, edamame and topped with sushi grade ahi tuna. The dish was beautiful and he absolutely the quality of ingredients and how the flavors seamlessly melded together so each bit was perfect. I chose the vegetarian fried rice, which was seasoned very well and had edamame and a mushroom medley. The dish was expertly salted, the edamame added a nice crunch and the variety of mushrooms added a nice woodsy flavor. I loved the dish. We will absolutely go back even to just have a cocktail and an appetizer. A true gem in Fountain Valley, don't wait, go!

The view is really nice, especially around sunset, and it just feels super relaxed up there. Rebecca (the bartender) was the best part though. I had no idea what to order since it was my first time, and she was super sweet and patient, helping me figure out what I'd actually like instead of just rushing me. I do want to start by saying the staff was accommodating. When I made my reservation online, it only allowed me to book for six or eight guests (I can't remember which), but I had a party of 10. They were able to accommodate us and update the reservation so our full group could celebrate together, which I really appreciated. When I made the reservation, the only available time slot online was 8:45 PM. The earlier time slots were to early for the rest of my guest , so we booked what was offered. We didn't think that would leave us with such a short amount of time before closing at 10:00 PM. We also didn't realize until we got there that they don't serve full meals just appetizers. To be fair, I take some responsibility for that. I should have looked at the menu ahead of time, watched a few video reviews, and done a little more research before booking. That's on me. We still made the best of it. The girls were each able to enjoy a drink, the guys squeezed in two drinks each, and we ordered about three appetizers for the girls and three for the guys. Shortly after that, we were told it was last call for both drinks and appetizers because the kitchen and bar were closing. It felt like the evening ended almost as soon as it began. I do wish they had either not offered such a late reservation or at least let us know when booking that we'd have very limited time to order and enjoy the experience before everything shut down. If you're planning a birthday celebration or any gathering where you want to enjoy food, drinks, and time with your group, I would recommend booking an earlier reservation if possible or choosing another venue if only the late reservation is available. Hopefully, my experience helps someone else avoid making the same mistake.

Let's start with Byron, because every great night out deserves a great bouncer. Byron is calm, observant, proactive, and genuinely invested in keeping people safe. He handles situations before they turn messy, all while remaining cool, approachable, and respectful. You feel protected without feeling policed -- which is exactly how it should be. Plus, he's great to talk to, and I've enjoyed every interaction I've had with him. Now for the real star of the show: Meow (aka Marissa). I adore this woman. She's sweet, hilarious, quick-witted, intelligent, beautiful, and makes incredible drinks. She is the reason I keep coming back -- and the reason many of my friends are loyal regulars week after week. She somehow manages to make a packed bar feel like your living room. Here's the funny part: I don't even drink much. Half the time I'm ordering a Diet Coke -- and still tipping like I ordered a craft cocktail, because Meow deserves it. I say that as someone who worked through college in hospitality and bartended high-volume places like TGI Friday's, massive events at the Long Beach Convention Center (yes, including the Grand Prix and concerts), and even managed bar service at an upscale steakhouse. Bartending takes multitasking, people-reading skills, awareness, organization, and discernment. Meow has all of it. She hustles, she remembers people, and she runs that bar like a pro. And when she sings? Goosebumps. Every. Single. Time. That said, in the spirit of honesty, I did have one unfortunate experience here involving another patron. On two separate occasions, a woman I didn't know decided I was somehow a threat to her relationship (despite me having exchanged nothing more than polite hellos with her boyfriend). The second encounter escalated into her grabbing and pinching my arm and physically turning me around to confront me. Not exactly the vibe. I reported the incident to another security staff member (Peter), but unfortunately nothing came of it, and the situation wasn't addressed. I ended up handling it myself and disengaging -- which, ironically, led to her following me outside to continue the interrogation. Not ideal. Because of a few moments like this, I'd gently recommend being cautious about giving out phone numbers here -- social media is a safer bet. That said, when the right staff are on, this place truly shines. I still bring friends and family here when they're in town, and they're always impressed. At the end of the day, Byron and Meow are the heart of Shanghai'd. Their professionalism, integrity, warmth, and competence are the reason I've stayed loyal and continue to return. They set the standard -- and they absolutely deserve the recognition.

We took advantage of the fun photo op inside and then grabbed some open seats at the wraparound outdoor bar, which was quite comfortable with the overhead space heaters. My friend ordered the Blue Indigo cocktail, and I initially requested the Kiwi Caviar, but since they were out of ingredients for it, I asked for Island Life as a backup. Both drinks were really good. Mine straight up tasted like tropical juice, but my friend's was a bit stronger. We stayed until closing before hopping over to The Bungalow. Would love to come earlier next time for happy hour and to watch the sunset.

Service was actually the worst ever, I'm shocked. I do not think it takes 15 minutes to make drinks, although considering he was flirting with the women next to us, who had already gotten their drinks, I could see how it would have taken him that long to make a couple drinks Second, I don't want to assume but he was moving and talking and flirting with people as if he was drunk. He was not at all focused and kept getting distracted and chatting with people instead of making our drinks Third he made the mai tais doubles??? We did not AT all ask for doubles. And based off my receipt, it looks like we got charged for doubles at full price as well. I am incredibly disappointed and I will not be returning to this location unfortunately. I really wanted to loved this place, and I can understand that they're very busy right now but this is quite frankly unacceptable.

Tired of A's, Ocean 48, and the rest of the same o'l restaurants, don't get me wrong they are good places, but wanted something different and boy were we surprised. Domenico the owner runs a very intimate setting and is also a great entertainer, he sings and has two band members playing Sax and the other on the piano, think frank Sinatra, dean Martin, etc. engages the crowd and just a great time. We came in at 7 and shut the place down, it's that entertaining!! Now the food is spectacular, great pasta all made in house, the starters were exceptional: arancini stuffed with braised short rib, carpaccio like you've not had before, we had a 25oz ribeye that was cooked perfectly, what can I say, it was a 10/10 for our party of 5 celebrating an amazing birthday.

The owner, Domenico, not only gives a masterclass in hospitality every night, but he truly is a warm and generous man who will ensure that your evening is special. He treats everyone as family. He provides live entertainment every night (rare anywhere these days), and when he gets up on stage, he sings from his heart wiith a talented charm and love for music. The chef, Carmelo, is a young master. His food is excellent and if there is a special...try it! He puts his heart and soul into his dishes. The staff follows in Domenico's footsteps and, even when the night gets busy, they treat us like family and ensure our night is the best. The entertainment last night was the duo of Marcelo on guitar, and Walter on saxaphone. Both are talented, seasoned professionals and gentlemen whom we have come to know and appreciate. From rock, to jazz, merenge to George Benson, they kept the vibe going all night. Obviously, I can't recommend spending your evening at Red Room enough! It's a rare gem.
