After living in the neighborhood for almost 2.5 years, I finally tried out Bliss with one of my friends. We booked an appointment ahead of time for 4 pm on a Sunday. When we got there, we were greeted by the receptionist, and it was relatively empty in there. We had both booked for gel nails and then picked out our colors. Their prices were more than what was indicated online, so it was $40 for gel and then an additional $15 for catseye polish (note they do not have the magnets for designs, so it's just plain catseye). This was done on our natural nails. My experience went relatively smoothly and very quickly. I had Tina, who completed within 20 minutes of starting, but I'm thinking that may not have been a good thing. My gel nails usually last for 2 weeks or so without chipping or peeling off, but these were chipping by day 5 and about a week in, one had peeled so badly that my nail snapped in half. My friend was not started on til i was almost done. Her nail tech switched halfway through as well, and another nail tech came by and made rude remarks about her hands twice, saying that the nail design she wanted would look ugly on her. The nail polish needed another color to help it show up the way it looked on the display/bottle, and there was a lot of back and forth trying to get that right. In the end, they were able to figure out a way to get it to look right, but that added an extra 40 minutes to her nails. The receptionist was great and helped advocate for her to get the correct shade. I like the convenience of having a nail salon within walking distance, but I think I'll stick with my usual unless these things change. It's not worth the money for early chipping and rude remarks. read more

This is my second time at this location. My nail tech relocated to this area. I had lost contact with her and she used to work at the Odenton location. She sent me a text of her new location. I'm glad she did. I always loved the way she did my nails. She's very creative with designs. If I show her a picture she will make it happen. I love this particular design and had to display it. I normally make my appointments on a weekday because weekends can become very crowded. They also take walk ins. Not sure how long the wait would be. They also have parking available on the front and backside of the building. I definitely will be returning to check out their pedicure services as well. read more

Unfortunately, my experience with this manager was extremely disappointing. Not only was the manager rude and unprofessional, but they also defended employees who were clearly disrespectful and unhelpful. Instead of holding their team accountable, the manager dismissed valid concerns and made the situation worse by showing favoritism and a lack of concern for customers. It's frustrating to deal with staff who don't treat people with basic courtesy, but it's even worse when the person in charge enables that behavior. A good leader should set a better example and actually listen to complaints instead of brushing them off or being just as disrespectful. I would not recommend dealing with this business until there's a change in leadership and customer service is taken seriously. i left with bleeding nails and no help for the inconvenience but slander for not coming back within a reason time for her . read more

Nails is all you saw; big, bright & thick ! As I was checking out, I was asked how my experience went & I said, "it was OK. I don't like my nails though." She asked to look at them & without any hesitation she wrote her number down & said "when you're ready to have them fixed, call me!" I text her that same day & scheduled with her later that week! && LET ME TELL YOU ! VY did not disappoint ! She takes her time, she's attentive, gives suggestions based on your nail shape, she's detailed oriented & my appointments never feel rushed! She's amazing ! I've been to Bliss Nail Salon about twice now. It's conveniently located pretty much right outside my apartment building so going here was an easy choice. They just opened last year. Due to the pandemic, they can only take appointments. When you arrive, you check in and they make you wash your hands. During my first visit, I got a manicure and pedicure in preparation for my friend's wedding. That visit went pretty well and was seamless. I don't remember who my nail tech was at that time. My most recent visit was last week and there was some good and some bad. The bad: after picking out my nail color for my pedicure and getting set up at one of the pedicure chairs, I was left sitting there for about 20 minutes. Literally, when I got to the point of almost leaving, the nail tech came over to get started. I was a little irritated because I had something else to do afterwards and didn't expect a simple pedicure to take so long. The good: my nail tech Lynn was amazing. She gave the best foot massage I've ever had at a nail salon. She was very attentive to my feet, making sure to scrape away any rough spots. Unfortunately, my pedicure was chipped after a few days. Usually, my pedicures last a pretty long time before having to get another one. Since the weather has been off and on warm then cold, I'll wait until the weather warms up again and get a polish change. I'm hoping that moving forward, they do better with time management or have enough staff to accommodate the appointments they are booking. If this continues to happen, I'll probably stop going. As I was finishing up, they did the same thing to another customer...got him all set up at the pedicure chair and had him waiting for a while. He eventually walked out. read more

Be cautious when booking here--there are extra fees for nearly everything, from nail length to shape, which quickly adds up. I ended up paying nearly $100 for a basic, short-length full set with no design, and the shape was terrible. Worse yet, the nails started coming off(right where the nail glue was placed) in under 72 hours due to the poor quality of work. I had to go to another salon to have everything redone, making this entire experience a complete waste of time and money. While my nail tech herself was kind and amiable, the service was rushed and far from relaxing. My pedicure lasted less than 12 minutes, including polish. To make matters worse, I arrived when another client had already started and yet I finished 15 minutes before her! I initially chose this location because I had a good experience at their Columbia and Ellicott City branches, but this was by far the worst. To top it off, the host/receptionist was unprofessional and incredibly unaccommodating with the issue she just wanted to go home. I made an appointment the day of and was lucky they could take me. My nails were horrendous (I really should've taken the "before" picture). The salon had a great Covid-19 protocol in place, very clean, and with the plexi glass separator, I felt safe. Tony did my nails and they came out perfect. I got a new acrylic set w gel polish. He is very detail oriented, the shape came out perfect. He was very accommodating when I was changing up the design from gold trim to white. Been here a few times. The first couple of times were great. Great staff and pedicures done properly. Today though I received the works. It specifically says with lavender scrub. I have gotten this before and it was fine. No lavender this time. And rude techs (my moms walked away from her and was not attentive). The manger tried to tell us that the lavender we received last time was part of the deluxe. The deluxe states it comes with a tropical scrub NOT lavender. Then he told us we got the green tea scrub and the staff confuses green tea and lavender sometimes. They are two different colors. One green one purple. The green tea according to the menu is for the sports one. Recommended for gentleman. He still charged us (me and my mom) full price for a service we did not receive. My mom did not even get lotion on her massage. Before I would have recommended this place. Now I will not be. Update. Upon closer look at our toes. My first visit. I won't go back. My teenage daughter and I visited for mommy and me day. We wanted to start with pedicures. They got us right in on a busy holiday weekend. The ambiance and atmosphere is decent. We had Helen and Lee. Lee looks mean but she's actually really nice. Helen looks nice but she's mean. They spend a lot of time trying to upsell you. We didn't want to spend a long time there because we had other things to do. They were upset because we got the milk and honey pedicure for 45 minutes. I expressed that I am looking forward to the massage part of the pedicure so pls do it good. That set Helen off. She told me I'd have to get a higher price package to get a longer massage and everything has a set amount of time. I explained I was not asking for longer but just good quality massage in the time allotted. She fussed at me and insulted me the rest of the time. Lee actually did an excellent job with my daughter's massage. He lmk en did horrible on me and barely massaged. My feet. She said a few insulting things, for instance she was mad because I did not want gel polish on my toes. She tells me regular not look right on my kind of toes I need gel... what!? I told her regular has looked nice on my toes all my life... smh On top of all that out pedicures did not last 45 minutes, it was about 28 mins. So what happened to allotted time for everything? Zero stars BEWARE: I just came to get a mani and pedi and the front desk lady walked me back and then got my pedi soak started. While picking the colors out, Tony, as I heard someone call him, asked me quickly what I wanted. I told him and went back and continued to soak my feet. Finally, a lady comes, and she asked me what I want, I tell her and show pictures. She stated she was doing my mani and pedi. She then goes in the back and speaks to Tony(who I can here in the back getting loud after she said whatever she said to him). He comes out quickly and says "can you come back a different day, and make an appointment". And says "I asked you want you wanted already". I told him what I wanted prior in passing when he randomly comes up to me asking me what I needed. I talked to him for a few seconds. Who talks to people like that? Where is your professionalism? Also, be clear in who is actually doing my nails. Unorganized. He stated he can't do it because he is busy. I stated that if everyone is busy, I can go. Then said that I have to pay for my gel pedicure. I didn't even get a gel pedicure. All I got was my feet soaked! I told him I will not pay for gel, when she didn't do anything yet. I can pay for the foot soak. But honestly, why even pay for that. Nothing was done and customer service was bad. I should have looked at prior reviews before coming. If your busy, I completely understand. Why not just say that in the beginning? I would have went elsewhere. It's no big deal, but why treat someone like that. I ended up paying 20$ for a foot soak. i really loved coming here, T always did an amazing job with my nails! But, I came in one day to get my acrylics removed because i wanted to take a break and the gentlemen who was removing them literally ripped off the acrylic from my nail bed and now my nail beds are ruined. No soaking in acetone or using a drill to take off the polish, he took a flat tool and went under the acrylic and slid the tool under it to pop it off, if i knew that was what they were going to do i would have done that myself. read more

I can say I will never be going back here again. I've been a repeat customer for months and my last few experiences have been awful. I asked for colored tips with a design and was given the opposite. Mimi did not listen to what I asked for and did her own design. If she could not do the design she should have told me and I would have chosen something else. Not only did it not look like what I asked for it was bumpy and still had my previous color on. Then when it came time for me to pay I had a $25 off reward and she then gave me a hard time and walked off and had someone else ring me up. I remember hearing her mutter the word "cheap". I found this place on Yelp. I've been trying to find a quality salon since moving from Montgomery county and they looked promising. I'm 7 mths pregnant and wanted to treat myself with their VIP Mani & pedi. I arrive and I'm already ready to leave, as I'm signing in my nail tech thought it was ok to come and rub my belly without asking!!! I was completely turned off but I didn't want to make a big deal. The first half of the pedi was great besides her doing the callus remover which is included. As she's applying the polish I noticed she's applying thick coats and also didn't properly shape my toes. I point it out to her and bc she barely speaks English she was not getting it!! As she's doing my Mani I try to tell her again and it takes her over 10 min of me repeatedly pointing it out to get it. She then uses the cuticle cutters to cut the side and file them down which leaves the polish looking raggedy. My polish wasn't fully dry on one of my fingers and she just wipes the nail and applies another coat which leaves an uneven layer which she thought was ok!! I also noticed I was getting a basic Mani and it was confirmed when I checked out that she didn't even give me the VIP Mani I requested SMH. I was hungry and over the whole experience to be honest. As I pay my bill they ask me about a rewards card and I kindly declined and told the receptionist I probably won't be returning. She didn't even care lol SMH. I asked to speak to a manager and rescheduled me to get the service redone, but I'm not going back to be honest. They completely turned me off from beginning to end. I'll just wait my 2 weeks and go somewhere else. If you do go to this salon don't go to #2(the older lady)!! read more

I had an appointment for 6:00 on a Wednesday evening. I arrived on time, and was told it would be about five minutes. I picked my color, and was given a station to sit, and was told I would be assisted shortly. After 30 mins of no contact, I chose to leave, letting them know. They offered to reschedule me, but at that point I no longer wanted to give them my business. I've been getting my nails done here for almost a year, today I went in and got a basic set (french tips). Throughout my appointment the tech kept trying to tell me different (more expensive) prices for a service that I get all of the time. When it was time to pay my total was $70 and I paid that.. several hours later I see that they went back in and changed the charge on my card to $84 without telling me (Im 99% sure this is illegal). I usually go to Tony (he's amazing), but he wasn't there so I had a different nail tech. She was very rude and aggressive while doing my nails so it wasn't even a good experience. I also have excema on my hands and I told her that, and she continuously tried to wipe it with 100% acetone nail polish remover (even when I asked her not to, for obvious reasons). So I decided to try the salon because it's literally within walking distance to my home, instead of the place I normally go to. I have not had any services done in six months because of Covid. When I entered I was asked to wash my hands and given a temperature check, which I was very pleased about those safety measures. I then was told to go back where the pedicure chairs were but not told which one to sit in, nor was there anyone to tell me. I had to go look for somebody to tell me where I should sit. The lady started doing my pedicure, and I quickly discovered that they do not use the "cheese grater" type of tool to remove calluses. I wasn't sure if they just generally do not use the tool, as some places do not, or if because of Covid they don't use it. What they did use with some very ineffective tool instead. Basically I still had all the calluses that I came with. I then asked my technician to give me a design on each big toe. She asked me if I wanted a flower design and I told her no, I prefer a line design. I let her have "artistic license" and do a design of her choosing. The design, and I'm using the word design in the nicest of ways, looked horrible. In addition to the design looking like a child had done it, the polish was uneven, bumpy, and missing in some areas. I told her that I did not like it and asked her to redo it. I then used Google translate to tell her in Vietnamese exactly what I wanted, which was a very simple design, so there would be no misunderstanding. What she then did was even worse than the first design, I wish I had gotten a picture because it was ridiculous. She even realized how horrible it was and started removing it immediately, then she repainted my toe white when all of my toes were actually polished black. She erased that and then painted both big toes again black. At this point I asked the gentleman who was doing nails in there if someone else could do the design because she did not know what she was doing, he looked at me but did not respond. She then just started putting clearcoat on my toes with no designs and said "sorry thank you". I feel like I wasted $60 and I would never go back there again, which is a shame because It's so conveniently located. read more
