Maybe I'm getting soft about handing out these five stars but this is the first one that I've ever given on potential because I didn't particularly care for what I had. I appreciate the menu. It's pretty concise but lots of variety. Ya pick your sausage then your toppings. I wanted to try the old Steady so I got a traditional banger. Nice flavor. Really juicy. It's a really good base type of sausage. If I come back I'll get more adventurous. When I sat down I was given a little chimichurri with some bread. Tasty little amuse bouche. I got a banger with grilled onions chimichurri and cheese. The menu was a little confusing. It said "chili/relish". As the last topping. I couldn't tell if they ran out of space or the two were related. I love chili but hate relish. Didn't want to chance it. The chimichurri is super assertive. It's delicious but I was tasting it the next morning. Also I don't think I'd get cheddar cheese next time. Something just didn't jive with everything. So I guess don't get what I did but I think you'll be pleased with the combination you choose. Very friendly staff too. Definitely a nice personal touch. read more

I was a skeptic since I don't typically crave sausages and I am CONVERTED!!! First can I pause to say the service is 5+++++ stars, every person was so nice and friendly. I haven't met such nice people in a restaurant in a while. I wish I knew her name (or even face since we all had masks on) but the woman with the pink hair was giving us recommendations based on which sausage we got. Just let her order for you, you will not be disappointed. I had the venison rabbit on a salad and it was delish! Exactly what I wanted but didn't even know I wanted it until I got the recommendation. My cousin had a sausage with chimichurri and he was raving about the bun being perfect to soak in flavor but not become soggy and messy. And my brother in law got the mac and cheese with a sausage (wish I could remember what he got) and chimichurri.... this will be what I order next time. They are doing a great job physical distancing with lines marked outside, all staff wearing masks, separated tables and minimizing the # of people inside ordering. While some of us respect these rules and other don't (ahemm.... ketchup crazy guy) it's important to make sure we are all safe to ourselves, those around us and these wonderful people working at restaurants. The family that's owns Bangers is outstanding and so welcoming! I've brought in a few people that haven't been there before and the staff (family or not) is always happy to explain their offerings. They regularly check in on us, joke around, and make us feel at home. They offer a huge variety of sausages with a great selection of toppings and sides. I don't eat meat but I haven't heard a single comment that was less than blown away at the quality and flavor. Their mashed potatoes and caramelized onions are the best I've ever had! And the chimichurri is suuuper garlicky which imo is how it should be! We always end up buying a container to go. Can't say enough good things about these folks and their food! read more

Get there early in the evening to get a spot outside, be patient while waiting in line and do your best to be ready with your order when you walk in. Absolutely scrumptious bangers. My partner had the reindeer/rabbit cranberry sausage with grilled onions and cream cheese. I had wild boar garlic sausage with sauerkraut, tomato, and chimchurra sauce. Both were table pounders. The covered patio has heaters and plenty of fresh air ventilation. Servers wore masks and the line for ordering was spaced for Covid safety. We've been here in pre-Covid times and were so pleased that they are going strong! read more

We stopped here on our vacation in Bend and we have been dreaming about it ever sense. We tried three different sausages and all were amazing. The man behind the counter was incredibly helpful and helped us pair our dog with toppings and pick a beer. He steered us to the chimichuri which was house made and so amazing that we bought a jar to take back to Ohio and share with the family. Everything we had was juicy, tasty, well cooked and fresh. I would go back here in a heartbeat. The beer selection was also worthwhile and should not be skipped! They are great! We were intimidated by the menu at first but it seems like you can't go wrong. Nice to have the option of putting your sausage on a salad but to be honest, I did that first and felt like the sauces were a little much and made for quite the heavy salad, which sort of defeats the purpose of a salad. I'd stick to having your sausage on a bun if you can, and you can really enjoy the sauces more. Their online ordering is super simple and easy to use, and their curbside pick up was also great. Really appreciated in these times to have that level of convenience. Even non-pandemic times, it's great especially when you're wrangling a toddler and baby, and want an easy pick up dinner option that isn't drive through fast food! Great food and fantastic service! We were visiting from out of town and stopped here based on the Yelp reviews we saw. We ordered a half order of the chili fries (the serving was HUGE), banger and mash, as well as the bratwurst. They even gave us a free chimichurri with bread to start (which tasted great)! Everything was fantastic. The bread and buns were really soft and toasted. Everything tasted delicious, and it all felt like it was served fresh out of the kitchen! They have a solid selection of beer, and their prices are on point as well. It's a great deal and well worth a visit even if it's a bit off the beaten path. The owner's father was helping serve us. Came to Bend on a Saturday with some friends for a day trip, and hit up Bangers & Brews for lunch after a short hike at Smith Rock, and this place blew our minds (in an awesome way). Some disclaimers: Not really the BEST place for vegetarians or vegans. They have vegetarian sausage options, but my friends said they aren't as good as the real meat (duh, are you surprised?) but know that your vegetarian friends will not be completely left out (if they complain about it being subpar...I don't really know what else to tell them). Here's how it works: 1. You choose your sausage ( I got the Elk/Pork Brat - they have a lot of exotic/ wild game, and it's actually very good) 2. You choose your 2 toppings (I got caramelized onions and diced tomatoes) 3. Choose your sauce (I got chimichurri, which is sauce made of parsley, garlic, olive oil, oregano, red pepper flakes, white or red wine vinegar) All of this was $8.50, and my friends and I split an order of sweet potato fries. You can get your sausage over salad instead of on a bun, but it costs extra. If it's very overwhelming, that's okay. The guy at the register (who I think is also the owner, and the guy that runs their instagram/social media), is very helpful, and after you choose your meat, he'll ask you what your preferences are (eg. spicy vs. not spicy, if you like certain things), and he'll tell you a good combination of sauce and toppings that go well together with the meat you've chosen. Extra pros: - They have free bread (that is soooo soft) after you sit down, and you can dip it in the chimichurri it comes with. - Fries: if you get any fries, ask for fry sauce and their curry ketchup (the curry ketchup is so good, it inspired my friends and I to start adding curry powder to our ketchup at home) - Their sausages come with a fork because it does get messy! If you don't want your sausage / bread to be super oily, don't get the chimichurri, get the aioli or some other sauce that isn't as runny - They have local beer - Outside sitting space is dope, it was about low 70s in Bend the day we went and the covering provided adequate shade - Wasn't very crowded when we went for lunch on a Saturday - Vibes: overall vibes and food, I would say this is a top bachelor party lunch/dinner location - Overall really great service - Grab a mason jar from the shelf next to the counter if you want water I have no complaints, the sausage portioning was good (I was full but wasn't stuffed), and everyone who worked there was really nice. The food was absolutely amazing- I had the traditional bangers & mash (with caramelized onions and gravy) while my boyfriend had the elk and pork sausage over mash (with chili and spicy mustard). We ate so quickly, we couldn't help ourselves! The service was phenomenal- she took the time to explain how the ordering process worked and I loved how customized you could make your order. They have lots of options, whether you want something familiar or you want to branch out and try some wild game (python and rabbit sausage, alligator, etc!). The ambiance rocked, loved the decor and the benches are a really nice touch. Also the bathroom was very clean! Outdoor seating with heaters was a bonus during Covid. We were checked on multiple times by servers, and they brought our dog water. I hate to just pile on with another 5-Star review... but that's exactly what I'm gonna do. You can get the gist of this place from all the other reviews. I'm gonna talk about the people behind the counter. The nice young lady taking the order was happy to commiserate with me about the 95° heat. She was also quite knowledgeable about the menu, and if she didn't know an answer to a question, she found out quickly. After we grabbed a seat, a nice older gentleman with a thick accent appeared with some chimichurri and bread while we waited for our food. Always curious, I asked where he was from, and after he jokingly said Oregon, I found out he was from Argentina. I mentioned I had recently traveled there, and his face lit up! We talked for a few minutes about his home and Buenos Aires. Turned out his son is the owner, and Dad is happy to help run the place. Always nice to chat with the boss man. Lastly, as we finished up, another nice young lady cleared our plates and suggested a waterfall that was close by as a must see after dinner. Turned out she was spot on. The woman who handles the cash register (owner's daughter?) is super nice and friendly. The old guy that works there (the grandpa of the cash register lady?) is awesome. My coworker ordered a chicken garlic sausage, sweet potato fries and a blond ale. Before our food arrived, we were served fresh bread with chimmichuri sauce. EVERYTHING was delicious. We could not finish either fries, but we really tried. I suggested on the way out that they offer a sausage flight, and they said it's not on the menu, but they do have a sausage board. Was very excited to try this place out seeing the 5 star Yelp review (which I've never thought was possible). I'm personally not a huge fan of sausages and hotdogs but I quite enjoyed the meal here. They offer a diverse palate of juicy and flavorful sausages from rabbits to reindeers to Buffalos! I will say that coming from LA, it wasn't quite up to 5 stars for my taste buds, but definitely deserves my full support for the incredibly warm display of hospitality I received as well as the great beers on draft! Omg so delicious!! Only thing I'm upset about is I had to go with my mom who literally eats like a mouse (she ordered one plain sausage), and I couldn't order more stuff reasonably. For myself I got the pretzel and cheese, small chili cheese fries (size was more like a large side), spicy chicken mango sausage. Everything was delicious, from the sauces to the super soft hot dog bun, and prices were very reasonable. I'm from SF where portions are small and expensive, and the quality of food has really given me a very VERY discerning palate. I can tell when things are truly delicious and this place executed everything perfectly. I can't wait to bring the BF next time I visit Bend so I can order more food!!! read more

This place is 100% worth the 5 stars. The owner greeted ya when we came in and explained the menu to us. It was happy hour too, so drinks were cheap! We ordered bacon Gorgonzola fries (small) and they were brought out to us immediately. The sausages were delicious and they are all highly customizable with toppings and sauces. This is an order as soon as you walk in and seat yourself with a number type of place. A group of people came in and sat down and we could tell they were waiting to be waited on. The owner came out and explained the menu to them and told them to come inside and order when they were ready. You don't usually see that kind of service, especially from the owners themselves.
