We ordered the chili fries (starter fries as they are called), the German and the 5 spice banger. The food: The chili fries are hands down the best chili fries I have had and the portion was more than enough for two people. The German is a large pretzel with a polish sausage and deli mustard. From the minute we walked in my wife and I felt welcome, one of the employees came over to us and explained the menu options and made some recommendations. The bratwurst was terrific, not salty but flavorful. My wife had the bangers and mash and said it was outstanding. As a appetizer I ordered a tomato and onion salad with balsamic dressing and it could have fed 2 people easily. I am admittedly not a big fan of hot dogs or sausage which meant Bangers & Brews took a little convincing for me to want to visit. In the end, I'm glad we did. They weren't very busy when we visited and the service was attentive, informative, and very personable - A+. We had sweet potato fries, each ordered a hot dog, my husband had a beer, and I had a cider. I didn't love my hot dog (but that was to be expected...just not my thing) but my husband did enjoy his. The cider instantly became one of my favorites (Coastal Cranberry by Legend Cider) and we took a growler home with us (because who doesn't drive around with a growler in your trunk at all times). We also took home a jar of the delicious chimichurri. The chimichurri is a great addition to any chicken or steak dinner and reminds me of Bend. Given the opportunity, I would come back and try a different sausage combination and will absolutely be back for the chimichurri. 5 stars. read more

Oh my goodness! This place is the bees knees!!! There is often a (fast moving) line out the door. A true locals favorite in an unassuming small strip mall near the river downtown. Pick your sausage, toppings and do not forget to try the chimichurri! I will often get a small jar to take home with me as it is so good on just about any savory dish. This place is incredible. Who wouldn't love this place? The Grinch would give this place 5 stars the night before Christmas (before his heart grows). I don't even know where to start. The girl who took our order was super helpful explaining how to order (and it is a bit complicated). You get to choose a sausage, 2 toppings, and 1 sauce. We were under the impression you just picked out a sausage and that was that. Anyway there are a bunch of different meats to choose from, and great toppings and sauces. There are some suggested combos if you don't know what to choose. We were there during happy hour (beer on tap = $3.50, tallboys = $1, some other specials) and this is good beer too. They brought us out a free order of chimichurri. What's chimichurri? No idea. It tastes good though. The bacon-Gorgonzola fries were good... almost too good... I am wondering how they were so good...? And the portion was huge, a small was good for 2 and we could barely finish when our brats came out. Brats themselves were delicious. Toppings were great and again there were sizable amounts. As we were eating employees came by multiple times to see if we were doing alright. Great atmosphere overall. Everything was clean and organized. Good outdoor and indoor seating. There were some TVs as I am sure this place is packed during sporting events. After we left we looked it up and this place won Yelp restaurant of the year in 2019. So that is spot on because this place is a 15 out of 10. Well deserved! read more

The caramelized onions are the best I've ever had in my life, and I love them so I order them anywhere they are on a menu. I would order B&Bs caramelized onions as it's own side and eat a bowl of them, that's how good they are. Added so much flavor to my banger. The bun and the bread served with chimichurri was so soft and fresh...not sure why other ppl have complained abt that. Everything I ordered was absolutely delicious. It's hard to find food this damn good that isn't ridiculously expensive. Definitely will become a regular here. Also, I get grossed out by meat if I find cartilage or shards of bone in it but I didn't find any of that stuff in my sausage. Tucked away in a strip mall area just outside Mt Bachelor Village here in Bend, it's a must stop if in the mood for a tasty street cart style deli dog, or exotic combo like reindeer, Alpaca, Wild boar and others! Each delicious so far! When we'd been here last year, the place was jammed at night, and we'd sat on the outside patio with heaters aside each table. When the owner asks ya if you know what toppings you'd like, have him help you instead as I'd done. He knows his stuff clearly, and each time delicious. First visit to Bend and feeling a little hungry and thirsty? This place is a must-try. I took my family and we loved it. The food was great and they have a terrific on-tap beer selection. Maybe best of all was the service. The staff checked in on us several times during our meal to ask if we needed anything.
