This place is a mist if passing through Bend. Great selection of sausages, toppings, and sauces. Many varieties of game meat sausages. I personally went for the venison rabbit bacon cranberry sausage on a salad with sauerkraut and chimichurri. It was incredible. The location is very convenient and the actual store is a little on the smaller side. I imagine a line for lunch. The chimichurri is worth going for regardless of the 5 star sausages. We were greeted by one of the owners, very helpful and friendly. All the staff was exceptionally friendly and we felt right at home. The food is unlike anything I have had before. Many choices of sausages, sauces, unique and delicious. It's hard to choose a single sausage because they all sound delicious--elk and pork brat, duck and bacon with jalapeños, rabbit with fennel, wild boar with garlic. The patio was perfect on a sunny Bend day, but I do wish that it had some more shade. It's a huge plus for us that it's dog friendly! They have a nice variety of beers to and give you a generous taste if you can't decide. A+ for being so hospitable! As for parking, it's in a huge shopping center and there was plenty of parking around. There's even trees, so you can find some spots in the shade. We will visit again, next time we are in town. Second time here after a long day of driving. The staff is very friendly even at 7pm with a steady line of customers. What a great atmosphere! The Westside location is key but could be missed at the corner of a business area..but I hope you don't miss it. I popped in while waiting for an appointment nearby last week. I was immediately greeted by the owner Rubeens (yes spelled right and pronounced Roo-bens) who was very friendly and welcoming and asked if I had been in before and if I knew how the menu worked. He asked what I liked and was so engaging about the menu. He and his staff are so friendly and their skinny fries are the best in town! My only regret is not coming here sooner. They totally live up to all the 5-star reviews! It'd been on my radar for a while, and I've already been back a few times since I first stopped by last month. Great food, good local beers on tap, and a friendly laid-back atmosphere. The choripan special is excellent when they have it, but you can't go wrong with any of the sausage combos. I've been sticking to outdoor dining during COVID, and was happy to find a cozy covered patio here. They have plenty of heaters going on cold days, plus blankets to keep the benches warm. But they were very up front about that and extremely attentive and communicative, which pretty much made up for the wait. The gentleman who runs the show is awesome and the pride they take in everything is evident. Having grown up in Wisconsin, arguably The bratwurst capital of the US, I'd like to think I know what a good link should taste like. Our sausages were crispy on the outside and dry on the inside, which in my view makes them overdone. Others may not agree. The chimichurri, as others have noted, is exceptional. This is probably one of my favorite places to for lunch in bend. They serve amazing Gorgonzola fries witch I could not get enough of and they also have a wide range of toppings and sauces and every one I tried was cooked or made to perfection. We got the Alaskan rain deer with garlic aolie and carmelized onions and the bangers and mash witch is a special. The bangers and mash was cooked to perfection making each bite juicy and not burned. The Alaskan rain deer had a hard outside but juicy and tender inside. Although the food was delicious I could not finish it because of how heavy the fries and sausages where but still and the service was amazing they went to talk to us and where very polite and kind. When we got there the place was packed but it is usually not so it gets a 5 star review. read more

My boyfriend and I stopped in Tuesday (Feb 16th) during a quick vacation from Portland. We came in early, which was a good thing because it was getting busy by the time we left (apparently its no secret how amazing they are!). Immediately we were met by a sweet gentleman who walked us through the menu, how to order, specials, etc. He did so all with the most genuine patience and sense of humor. We got the bangers and mash, a brat with toppings and mac and cheese. Since we wanted to try a bit of everything, we said we were going to just split all of the dishes. The woman behind the counter was so sweet and, without us asking, split each dish into two portions to make it easy to share. We sat outside and they quickly turned up the heat lamps, brought out blankets to sit on and a delicious bread appetizer. The food was some of the best I have had in a long time. We were blown away and so was the table next to us, who couldn't stop raving about the fries. I can't tell you enough what an amazing dining experience this was. These folks really take pride in not just their food, but the experience of each and every guest. We've already established that we will not ever stop through Bend without coming here. We came up for a ski trip and this place is near the Mt. Bachelor village resort so we checked it out after the long day and they had some of the best brats and options on them I ever had, you customize it. We are from out of town and found Bangers on Yelp--thanks for doing a great job everyone--and the hard-to-come-by 5 star rating is well deserved! We didn't stand in the door more than 10 seconds and the owner was out from behind the counter asking if this was our first time and explaining the entire menu and ordering process. It was obvious that this type of service is common place. We ordered the Gorgonzola, bacon fries--totally amazing and perfect with the drizzle of aioli in top. All of us had a different banger and none were disappointed. High quality brats with creative toppings and a crunchy/tender grilled bun. Great service, great food, great beer=a BIG win!
