Chicken and basil banger with grilled onion, tomato and aioli sauce.

We were hungry and we needed something unique, fun and fast. This place seemed to fit all the qualifications. A fun, up-to-date, chill vibe kind of place. We went in and were served immediately. So many options. Reindeer sausage banger or maybe a burnt end banger? How about an alligator banger or maybe a simple chicken and basil sausage banger. Next...add toppings. Soooo many toppings. Grilled onions? Maybe some tomatoes? How about peppers? Next, add a sauce. Garlic aioli, chimmichuri, mustard, ketchup, cheese? Ohhh...I forgot about starters. Poutine fries to start. We didn't wait long and the waitress gave us chimmichuri and fresh bread to start. Then came the poutine fries. Amazing. French fries in a gravy sauce with grilled onions and melted cheese. Then the bangers came. I ordered the basil chicken with grilled onions, tomatoes with aioli sauce. Hot and fresh. Tasted amazing. The buns were so fresh and soft. I will never think bangers are boring again. This place was SUPER!

There's a reason this place is a near 5 stars with well over 1k reviews. From the atmosphere, the beers, the food, and the service, this place hits them all out of the ballpark park - and with love. Ruben I think serves most of the food. He's an older gentleman and LOVES what he does. I asked him if he was the owner and he proclaimed that his son Marcelo (marcelito) is the owner. You can tell how proud he is of his son. It's awesome. I can't say too much because there are simply no words. You just gotta come here and experience it for yourself.

Too many choices on the menu. Exotic meat section. Several sides to choose from. Mac n cheese, Gorgonzola fries, sweet potato fries and a garlic chicken dog were our choices this day. A lemonade cider topped it off that was to die for! Small little place with indoor and outdoor seating. Good service and better food! We can't wait to go back to try something different. We loved it all.

I've never had bangers and mash before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. First off, I have to agree with all the other reviews about the service here. the team members here were so incredibly friendly and helpful-- they answered any questions and also had good suggestions for what to order. My friend and I got the combo with 2 sausages (we got spicy italian and the banger), caramelized onions, pepperoncinis, and chimichurri sauce. Very tasty and filling!

I am a HUGE fan of Bangers and Brews - this is a family-run restaurant with Argentinian roots. Their food is great, lots of excellent beers and everyone there is extremely warm, friendly and engaging! Frankie and Reuben are especially great to meet and talk to! I especially love the burnt-end Brisket Banger and the Argentinian Lager was great. They allow our dog to join - which is a bonus. If you haven't been, I highly recommend stopping in! Take home some Chimmichuri for home consumption..

The service was great and the lady who owns the place is a love. The poutine was not salty as expected and too sweet for us. The garlic aioli potatoes were really good. There was great service! It was my first time being there and got a great recommendation. When you walk in, you're greeted with warmth and such a delicious smell. Even though to took my food to go, I was served one of the best starters I've had. I'm not the most adventurous eater, but felt welcome and valued all the same! 5 stars, would recommend.

Yes. This place. Hidden. Gem. Once in the Top 100 on Yelp and lemme tell ya, I know why. We just got into town and wanted to go somewhere warm, dog friendly, and not crazy overpriced. We looked at a number of the "go-to" spots and we're flabbergasted by the prices. Enter Bangers & Brews. Perfection. Off the main drag but not overpriced at all, and extremely cozy. The patio was enclosed and heated so we could chill with the doggo. The menu was outrageous! You could get an easy dog, a crazy dog, a dog on a side, or a board of dogs - and they have quite the array of dogs on offer! We got the wild boar, dog as well as the duck & cilantro dog, with a side of gorgonzola bacon fries, and loved everything.

I LOVED this place, I didn't have high expectations thinking "it's just a fancy hotdog" but I was happily mistaken. These were outstanding, they make it very easy to figure out what order you'd like and have delicious sides to enjoy. The beers were delicious the atmosphere and service was amazing. Bangers and brews was a perfect stop for fancy glizzies after a day of skiing at Mt Bachelor. The service was relatively quick with our order being taken attentively and perfectly. The table was cleaned and dishes scooped up as we finished. They also offer water cups at no charge. I loved the rustic feel of the restaurant. Bangers & Brews - Westside (Bend). Reviewing the comments on Yelp, there isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. I agree, B&B could very well be the best gourmet sausage and sausage delivery system I have ever had. Certainly deserving of its' Number One place in Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat in the USA. We tried the Burnt End Brisket, Peking Duck, Wild Boar and Garlic, Spicy Wagyu, Elk and Cheddar sausages, but there are so many more waiting for us. Toppings and sauces were first class, and the Mac-N-Cheese, Skinny Fries and Sweet Potato Fries are worth the visit alone. Plenty of room for groups. Great local beer selections. The service was excellent, friendly and accommodating. The Bend store is neat , clean, comfortable and welcoming. The only negative, and it does not reflect on B&B, is parking in this neighborhood center sucks. Bangers & Brews - Westside (Bend) - Five very-well-deserved Stars, should really be more. [Hey Yelp, after a business has scored a seat in the USA Top 100, we really should give them a Sixth Star! Just saying.] You will see us there again, tomorrow!

This place is indeed a BANGER. My friends and I had been up all night road tripping from CA and catching waterfalls and finally decided upon this place for lunch on a whim. Sometimes those are the best decision ever, and this was definitely one of them. Plenty of parking, very friendly service... The staff knew we weren't from the area (probably from the way we looked and all the cameras we had) and gave us the breakdown and process of their menu/ordering. They recommended a few items and were extremely nice, asking us where we were from, etc. Turns out we were talking to the owner! Super cool guy, and we even took a picture with him (I'll post it later) Ok now for the food itself, EVERYTHING we ordered was bomb dot com!! I personally got the alligator, and it was definitely one-of-a-kind. The customization options are endless, and the chilli cheese fries were mouth-watering (wish we ordered another one). The fact that this was all after hiking was muy bueno. I need to come back soon. Bend, OR is so nice in terms of scenery and people. This place was a testament to that. read more

This not a place that needs another 5-Star review. But...damn! It deserves it, anyway. The sausage here is spectacular. I had the wild boar, topped with caramelized onions, spicy peppers, and garlic aioli. My wife had the same but with sweet peppers and chimichurri sauce. Results, amazing. (Incidentally, both combinations were recommended by the owner/manager--a super cool guy, who obviously sweats the details and is proud to be the face of his business. And his chimichurri, which he said was his mother's recipe, is some of the best I've ever tasted.). Round it out with one of the seven or eight draft beers on tap, and you've got a real treat. The atmosphere is cool, clean, and casual, with outdoor seating for those perfect central Oregon nights. And, on top of it, the price is right, and the service is unbeatable. Bangers & Brews isn't health food, but it's fast casual of the highest order, and it's a whole lot of fun. read more

Popped into Bangers & Brew after a day of cave exploring. The staff was friendly, and courteous. We must have looked confused because a cool ol' chap walked over and began to explain the delicious menu combinations. There was no way to go wrong. As we were deciding the nice bartender treated us to a tap sampling. After many choices we settled on the oblivion blonde. My wife chose the mango pale ale. The dogs were amazing!! Excellent food, friendly service, great attention to detail. We stopped by for a late lunch today. The owners and their daughter all greeted us warmly and took our order. This place takes bangers to the next level. We just came up for a day of appointments and errands and wanted to try something new and this place impressed! Good food for a good price and endless combinations. Chili cheese fries made for a great starter to the Seattle Dog special and a Wild Boar Banger. Wanna talk about quality people and quality food? This is the place to go. I work for Post-mates and I am constantly in and out of this place and it smells so good so I finally decided to go in and eat. The guys recognized me because I had been there about 9 times that day and was happy to help me find something good he offered great choices and told me what beers would go good with it also I only got their pretzel because I wasn't too hungry my boyfriend got an elk hot dog and their loaded fries and he said they were amazing. We ate in a party of four and had multiple kinds of sausage and bangers that we shared. Nothing we ate was average. Everything we sampled was above par and just right. The exotic meats are delicious and the owner went out of his way to be friendly to us. Friendly staff, great food, great prices. Huge portions too. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. The staff checked in several times and it just felt like home. I had the chicken basil sausage on a salad. I couldn't even finish it. Next time I want to be a bit more adventurous (and usually I am) and try some of the more exotic sausages. I work a couple blocks from here and have wanted to try it for over a year. I finally tried it yesterday and was not disappointed at all. The food is awesome. They have their own signature style of hotdogs that I can't compare to any other restaurant. While we were waiting they brought out some bread with one of the dips I've ever tried. The service was exceptional. They were busy, yet they took the time to explain their ordering process and check in with us a few times. I plan on making this one of our spots. :D read more

All the yelp reviews do NOT steer you wrong. This place is #1 for a reason. The owner, Marcelo, helped us pick out the perfect combination for our brat. We wanted to try the venison, bacon, and cranberry brat and he recommended we put garlic aioli and spicy peppers on it. It was AMAZING. Just passing through on a road trip from LA, this place was easily the best brat I've ever had. If you get the chance, I highly recommend you stop in. You won't regret it. read more

We've been coming here for years and has become our regular Saturday lunch spot after a morning of mountain biking, skiing, snowshoeing, etc. Family owned and everyone is so friendly and provides great service. We've been though most of the menu by this point and with the large number of sausages and combinations of 2 toppings and 1 sauce it is impossible to get bored with the number of options you can create. read more

Chose this place based on the Yelp reviews, and it did not disappoint!! Had a wonderful lunch and cider here prior to floating the river (side note, this restaurant is super convenient to the park and float location!). The chimichurri sauce was amazing! Combined with the cream cheese and carmelized onions, I think this is the best sausage I've ever eaten! But, the best part of our experience was the interaction with the owner. He was so nice and obviously very proud of the place. He offered a free appetizer of bread and chimmichuri sauce (again, yum!!) and keep checking in to see how we liked our food. Like, holy shit. This place is amazing. Seriously, I walked in being like, hah, how does a sausage place in Bend, Oregon have a 5 star yelp review. There must have been a scheme where everyone who visited this place and gave it 5 stars got $5 off or something. Nope, I was wrong. 5 stars. I got the Smoked Apple sausage and my partner got the Alaskan Reindeer. Sweet potato gorgonzola fries. Ugh. I might come back for breakfast. read more

Now I just stopped by for a brew while the wife gets her nails done down the way. Well, I had to try the side of Chilli Fry's withe my Bone Yard. Not only were the fries awesome, tasty etc. I knew this was going to be the dinner stop for tonight. So I'm still waiting for the wifey, but in the meantime I met Ruben the owner. No he's not from Germany, but rather Argentina. Must be why there is such a twist to the menu, but I will need to try the bangers n mash. More to come. Now that I'm kicking back and relaxing I'll finish where I left off. Well the bangers n mash were awesome and long time over due since the last time I ate this sort of food was in England, but this was far much tastier. Wife had the rabbit banger and I must thank her for sharing as this will definitely be on my plate the next time I come. And let's not forget the owners and staff. They made sure I had a great time and checked up on us often. Will definitely be back and hope to be a regular customer. read more

The Hot Mess had a great blend of spiciness and flavor, and the Brewer's Brat with sauerkraut was on point too! You can really tell the difference in quality too when eating here, as they get all of their meats from a specialty Bavarian meat distributer...anyways they have a lineup of mustards a mile long that are also crafted by another specialty shop, too. The staff is also super friendly too. So glad to have this gem in Bend! Update: just went again and got pretty much the same thing...I'm officially hooked

I hate to leave bad reviews. I tried everything I could with this company to have them do the…read moreright thing. I ordered 10 pounds of assorted sausage from them back on June 28th through a marketing website and received a confirmation that they would notify me when they ship, and it was listed as "Express" for the shipping Flash forward to July 25th (just 3 days shy of a month later) while out of town for my daughter's wedding they decided to have the sausage delivered. The "feels like" on the day was discovered was 116, and the day before that, when it was delivered, was even hotter. My cat watcher noticed the package on a Saturday and when she brought it in and opened it the sausages were warm and slimy and placed the whole box outside in my garage. The order was delivered on Friday morning and sat outside all day in this heat, and part of Saturday. My garage stunk as the cat watcher did not want to smell up the house or fridge. We never received any tracking or any communication at all from anyone at We're the Wurst to notify us that there would be a HUGE delay in shipping, or that the item shipped. Had he have notified us that they were going to ship or shipped the package, we could have asked them to hold until we got back, or had a neighbor bring the box in. I emailed them and his reply was "it's not his fault what happens once the package arrives at my house," and his only mistake was not updating us with tracking. That is a HUGE mistake and the only reason this sausage wound up in the garbage. How can you ship out perishable goods a month after the fact and not notify anyone? I am battling this currently with my CC and the market place I ordered it from as he is currently ghosting me and not replying to any emails.

Inside you can immediately see the tanks at the back, with a large bar to the left. Merchandise shop is at the front, with tables all around. The bartender was so friendly and welcoming. I talked to some brewers after their shift and they were just as friendly, albeit tired and ready to relax. Their beers are excellent, and I only wished I could've physically enjoyed more! They don't do that in Redmond, not sure if they still do so in Bend... I think we've given Redmond 3 chances but staff are pretty indifferent, and the food doesn't wow us anymore. The brats and bangers are still good, but we feel it's not totally worth the prices anymore. Last time we were in Redmond location the women's restroom was out of tp. I told the staff twice and they were not busy, scrolling on their phones in between customers and they never re-stocked the to in the restroom.

Timely, attentive, professional without being stiff. The capstone to our experience involved the bill. We actually had a gift card from 2017 - nine years ago. While it certainly didn't cover the whole bill, or even half, it was a nice way to defray costs. Unfortunately, when the server ran the gift card, it showed no balance. Not sure why but perhaps over the years, the card had been erased by stray EMF. Despite that and given we provided the card receipt, the restaurant honored the card for the full amount anyway. Absolutely no negatives. Everything was top tier including the service at the bar and cocktails. The space is quite comfortable and you're not subjected to loud music. I may become a steak eater.

You order at the counter, get a number, and then sit. Since it was our first time, we wanted to look over the menu, but we ended up just going with the specials -- and honestly, they were incredible. We had a unique and delicious Portuguese sausage biscuits‑and‑gravy dish with bacon on the side, and the other plate was an eggs benedict on an amazingly light, airy muffin with tomato, perfectly poached eggs, and a Portuguese sausage link, plus potatoes. Our plates were spotless by the end. The house iced tea was also a standout -- infused with fruit and specialty tea, but without actual fruit pieces in the cup. It tasted elevated and refreshing. I also ordered a cinnamon‑cardamom coffee, which was divine. Next time -- because there will be a next time -- we're thinking of sharing the special of the day and getting a spread of fresh pastries. Highly recommend.

A bunch of us decided to gather here a few nights ago since it gets such great reviews. I have to admit I was expecting a lot more.... Basically, you're looking at (on the low end) a fast food joint or (on the high end) a pretty standard bar that serves sausage. Either way, I was a bit surprised. But OK, we're here, let's have some great beer and sausage.... We ordered quite a few different things so everyone could try several things. sausages-pretty standard fare. interesting to read about but very little difference in tastes fries-interesting options but one out of two were delivered to the table lukewarm beer-reasonable selection but one was skunky and one wasn't cold wine-not bad service-hit or miss. the girl behind the counter could have cared less to assist us and wasn't much help with explanations. the delivery girl was more helpful but still not interested in assisting us. If I could give 10 stars I would! We came across this place from reading Yelp reviews while we were in Bend for a weekend ski trip. We had just come off the mountain so we had worked up an appetite and we are SO happy we stopped in to give it a try! A nice cold beer and delicious sausage really hit the spot! Oh- and the chili cheese fries!!!! We might have ordered too much food. Ha! But everything we tried was delicious. They had really unique options- my husband (who's admittedly more adventurous when it comes to food) had the lamb sausage with chimichurri and caramelized onions that he loved. I had a more simple IPA brat with cheese, tomatoes and spicy mustard which was also delicious. Good beer selection. But the thing that really put this place over the top as far as a full dining experience goes was the service! The owners and staff were outstanding and SO friendly. They gave great recommendations and we enjoyed their company very much. In a world where customer service seems to be a lost cause, it was refreshing to be somewhere where it was a focal point! wow, with all the great reviews, I could hardly wait. love me some wurst! friendly welcome, nice start. some great beers on tap, so far so good. outside seating was a picnic table but that seemed appropriate for sausage. ordered a mixed platter with 5 brats and accompaniments, that was a fun surprise. got the order only to find that 4 of the 5 were heavily overcooked. do they just have them on rotating hot dog machine like at a 7-11? and then when I mentioned it to our server, I was told 'that's how they are supposed to be!" not really the answer I had hoped for. moving on, some interesting choices with the fries. had high hopes for those as well. went with the gorgonzola fries. lots of topping, but unfortunately, the fries weren't hot. man, that really is important to me...I hate fries that aren't hot. so after spending what I felt was a fairly high price for a sausage dinner, it turned out that none of it was really that great. quite the disappointment. suppose I should give them another try but I'm hesitant.... read more

Nice that an owner interacts directly with his customers but I thought words described my review pretty well! However, I don't think I like your attitude. Sure, it was not a great review, but just because you didn't like it, doesn't make it any less real. We had a very un-stellar visit and it was not our fault; it was the business that failed us. Reviews? Out of 16, the majority is 4 to 5 with only 2 reviews being 1-star. I guess I'm not surprised that you allude your poor performance to a vague indication that I'm not real. Nice try to redirect the attention away from your mistakes. That's seems to fit the bill for your company. I thought I was done interacting with B&B, but after this, I'm now going to go out of my way to inform people I know of my experience there and now. read more

Yum yum yum. I ordered small chili cheese fries AND the bacon gorgonzola fries because I couldn't decide between the two. I can't imagine how big the portion is on the regular because the small was a generous size. (If I had to choose 1 next time it would be the Gorgonzola, but both were good). The Hubby ordered the reindeer brat. The service at this place is the best I've ever had. Staff somehow knew we were newbies and gave us the run down right away. Brought us our beverages as soon as we sat down (highly recommend the blood orange cider) and came by checked on us and chit chatted regularly. Hubby enjoyed the brat. Highly recommend! I don't understand. This place has such great reviews. When I went there, I found a very standard bar/pub food restaurant (?). Now, I like sausage so nothing against that and the sausages we ordered came from an interesting selection. Unfortunately, they were overcooked and dry. I mean, it's not that hard to cook sausage, is it? Pricey for what you receive so I think I must be missing something. There was chimichurri with some (also dry) bread. Pretty much the worst chimi I've had. Again, this is not going so well. The grand finale? Fries with Gorgonzola. Personally, I think it was a bad decision to combine those two but a lot of people in the reviews seem to like it. However, I am not one. I don't think I will return. read more

I don't get it. This place gets amazing reviews so I went to see what all the fuss was about. They pretty much sell sausages of many varieties and beer. While a good sausage is lovely, these weren't. As mentioned, quite a few interesting choices so we did try several but they were all overcooked. How does that happen? Thought the fries might be better so we ordered a big ole tray of them with gorgonzola. Nope, not only do I feel that fries and gorgonzola are a mistake but they were poor quality fries. Can't fix that. As for beer, well yes, it is offered but at that point, we'd pretty much had enough disappointments. I suppose I caught them on an off day but I'm not sure how it could get a whole lot better. read more

Just like voting, you can't complain unless you're involved. I don't normally do reviews but I signed up for Yelp explicitly to mention what a horrible restaurant this is. Overpriced and overcooked sausage, lousy fries and pretty unimpressive service. It's a jumped up sausage truck that was, simply put, a bad decision on our part to visit. I've since read some rave reviews and don't understand what those people did to have such a great experience.....I am simply at a loss of words. That's OK, I'll speak with my wallet and never go back. There are so many places in Bend that HAVE good food, service and drink that I'll visit instead. Just thought others might like to know. read more

I love this place! I never used to like sausage, always hot dogs. But I absolutely adore this food. It melts in your mouth! I'd recommend this to anyone!!!!! They have beer floats, and root beer floats that are to die for! I'm so proud to have tried this restaurant I really am! I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to give this place a try! Bangers and Brews is for every crowd out there. I'd be here everyday if I could! Thanks so much you guys for an amazing, friendly, family oriented experience. I think this is my first negative review in Bend. Boy, was I excited about this place. I love snaggers and mustard and they have a Lot of choices here. Our evening though started off badly with the server unhappy about something and letting us know thoroughly about it. That's OK, let's get to the food. Uh oh. No matter how many flavors you offer, if they are overcooked, it doesn't really matter. One of the group ordered the fries with Gorgonzola. I guess it's on the menu because a lot of folks like it....not me unfortunately. So maybe it IS just me, but B&B is not a place I'd go back. read more

Sadly not what I was hoping for. It was a bit chaotic when I arrived but sometimes that indicates a great and busy place. Unfortunately, not true here. Ordered the elk and pork, the venison and rabbit, the spicy Italian, and the smoked apple-veggie. Elk was almost tasteless, venison the same and overcooked. The spicy Italian was a little spicy but nothing exceptional. And the apple-veggie...well, I spit out my first bite. While these sausages are not inexpensive, I wouldn't mind the price if they were delicious. Well, I tried it but I won't do it again. read more

This place is by far one of the best casual dining restaurants in Bend. Besides the staff being super friendly and the urban/casual feel of the environment, the food is phenomenal. As the name of the restaurant suggests, it's menu consists of mostly Italian sausage style meals. But not just your typical 'Costco style' polish dog. These mean dogs consist of ingredients such as alligator, wild bore, duck and rabbit. Seriously, give this place a try. And make sure to try there bacon/gorgonzola french fries as an appetizer. I don't get it. How can dry sausages, lame fries and bad service continue to stay in business? The sides that come with each sausage gave me hope but they were such small portions and frankly, not very tasty. My experience here was not very good. Maybe because I was a single diner and didn't get the full experience? I don't know. A lot of people seem to have had a much better time than me so maybe it was just an off day. It's certainly conveniently located but I can't see why I would ever go back. Sorry, but this place isn't for me. read more

Thought I was being so smart to recommend that our group head over to B&B for a bite. Wrong! First off, the place seemed dirty to me, not filthy mind you, just in need of a sweep, particularly in the bathroom. Then, when we got the menus sorted out and went up to order, the server was rude. But hey, this is just a sausage place, nothing fancy, so I shouldn't have expected great service. But then the food arrived. One order was wrong, one order was awful and one was late. I gave up trying to make the best of it. Oh well. read more

Went in here a few nights ago with my girlfriend. Let's just say I wasn't happy. First, the place had an odd smell. Sausage cooking should have overruled it but there was a distinct funkiness that set us off. Next problem was the food. The sausages were not juicy at all, the side dishes were Very small and the bread that came with the chimichurri as a starter was dry, almost stale. On top of all that, our server was pissed at something and had a bad attitude. Won't be going back here. read more

Not the way I would have done it, but that's fine. I guess I wouldn't have overcooked the meat or served cold French fries either but I don't want to tell you how to run your business. Came in with a friend the other night. It was our first and probably last time. Our server was having a problem with something or someone and we got to hear about it. Once the food came, it wasn't very good. There Were a lot of great sounding selections, it's just that ours weren't. In fact, they weren't juicy and hot at all. And a table over was having some smothered fries and liked them so we ordered some as well. Did not enjoy them so I guess that's that. read more

If you want to spend nine dollars on a hotdog, be my guest. So overpriced and lackluster food. The owner will try and sell you on overpriced sausages. Beware! I won't pay nine to $10 for a general hotdog. Don't listen to the yuppie reviews. Much love to you too owner.! I'd like to say though, you are overcharging people for something that was just basically a hotdog. You may have exotic meats, but the price is too high for something that rests in a hotdog bun. read more

When we went in, all started well. Good smells and nice folks. Ordered a variety from the extensive selection of sausages and sides. When the food came, several of the 'bangers' were very dry. None of them were as exciting tasting as they sounded on the menu. And the sides were tiny amounts. On top of that, the chimichurri we ordered to begin was waaaay too garlicky for human consumption.
