This is a must visit if you're in bend! We brought a large family here (8 adults and 2 kids). They were extremely helpful with arranging tables, answering questions, quickly bringing food for kids, and being super friendly. The main guy was extremely helpful in explaining how it worked since we'd never been here before. The food was so good as well! My new Bend Favorite......And I do not even eat sausages! At first glance you think this is a strip mall food place, not worthy of a stop. But the reviews were high so we gave it a shot. First of all the service was over the top incredible - The server made sure we understood everything on the menu and made suggestions based on likes and dislikes. They delivered a complimentary bread and dipping sauce, which was delicious, to the table while we waited for our food, and gave our dog a water bowl (we dined on the outside deck with our 4 legged child). Then we had an appetizer of the Gorgonzola Bacon Fries.... seriously this is a meal in itself - so good! Up next the Mr had a Brat and I had the caramelized onion mashed potatoes....... They are amazing! As I write this I am wishing I was in Bend to get more of these! Initially, we weren't sure how a place so unassuming could earn 5 stars, but we quickly learned this place is a gem. The owner/manager type of man came up and told us how it all worked, making recommendations. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was a fun back patio. This place is incredible! It was our first time visiting this establishment, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a spicy sausage, with spicy mustard, caramel used onions, and jalapeños with a Porter to drink. Every bit of it was fantastic. And the customer service was the best I have seen in a long time. This was especially delicious with a great variety of sausages, with their rotating menu also providing many more options like Alaskan reindeer, wild boar, etc. All of our toppings and sauce combinations we tried were wonderful. The fresh chimichurri was amazing with the bread and we couldn't get enough. We've been traveling through Oregon and my younger brother has been ordering pretzels wherever we've gone (he's a picky eater), and this was the best pretzel so far, with a great cheese sauce to boot. Their prices are moderate, starting at $7.50 per link with no sides or beverages, but it comes with two free toppings and a sauce. Which, honestly, is more than filling for a lunch option. Seating is kinda limited in this small space and it's all long wooden picnic tables, but the staff is charming and they bring you free bread while you wait for your order. I've been there four times by the time I started this review and I gotta say, this is the kind of restaurant Bend needs. A quirky and specialized dining experience that is affordable and delicious. Friendly, prompt service. My grandson had a heated patio to stretch his legs. To top it all off the beer and food were delicious! I'm so glad we were walking because we were stuffed! We started with a pretzel ( huge, soft and delicious cheese sauce) and chilli cheese fries. The owner brought us a sample of bread with chimichurra(?) sauce. Yum, yum, yum. Then came the dogs. I can't tell you what everyone had because they were to busy eating. I know one son had the #13 and was glad he didn't order any extra spice because it was perfect. One son got the bangers and mash. He loved it! My husband got the chilli cheese dog and was very impressed. The other son got the chilli cheese with the wild boar sausage. I had the grilled cheese which was scrumptious. The food was incredible, we got a variety of different sausages ranging from the wild to the standard, my favorite was the venison rabbit with cranberries topped with sweet peppers, carmelized onions and chimichurri. We also had the pretzel and the fries with gorgonzola and bacon, I always love a good pretzel but there aren't words to describe the fries - soooooo good! True sausages with great buns or a salad if your into cutting carbs(I'm not) lots of varieties like alligator, wild boar, water buffalo, rabbit, venison and of course the standard pork varieties(and a veggie one but let's be honest, I'm not trying it). The Gorgonzola fries have probably added a waist size to me so I try not to order unless I'm sharing, it is an entire platter covered with massive blue cheese chunks.
