We've been coming here for many years now and I keep forgetting that I've never reviewed Bangkok BBQ... They are right down the street from us, so it is our go-to spot when we're in a pinch. They get our order ready pretty quick and we've always enjoyed it, so we keep coming back for more. Love the Phad See Ew, the Panang, Garlic Ribs to name a few. The Tom Yum is okay, but I usually get it from another place I like better when I'm craving it. Their lunch specials are great too, good value and good portions. We've dined in on several occassions, and even had a semi-large party once. It's not the biggest of places...maybe 45-50 max capacity...so when we had the party, we pretty much had the whole place. Service - always great. Friendly and are always accurate with our order and get it to us pretty quick Parking - Never an issue here with all the other establishments. If you're coming for dinner, a lot of the local businesses are closed by that time so that helps with parking availability. Love having them as a local biz and always a great option when you're craving Thai. read more

Solid 4.5 Stars Another lunch visit with several coworkers. This Thai restaurant is cozy and close to both my office and home. The service was fast/efficient, but not a lot of interaction with the young man assisting us. To his credit, he was willing to split the checks for everyone in our party. Once again, all the dishes were very tasty, the dining area was clean, and there was a lot of good parking in the shopping center lot. FOOD: Lunch Specials (11am - 3pm daily) are served with an egg roll, side salad, and fried or steamed rice. I started with a Thai Ice Tea ($5) which I love, and my coworkers had canned sodas ($3.50/ea.). For my entrée, I had BBQ Chicken Lunch Special ($13.95), and my coworkers had the Yellow Curry Chicken Lunch Special ($13.95), Cashew Nut Chicken Lunch Special ($13.95), and Vegetable Tofu Lunch Special ($13.95). The food came out quickly, hot, and had good flavors. I recommend you check this place out if you're in the area. read more

In about five years time span, their lunch special prices have almost doubled. Food tastes good, but the portions always leave you hungry. Mint leaves chicken and green curry chicken are my usuals here. Service is fair and ambiance is pretty upscale. read more

The food tasted good, I did have to wait a good 40 minutes, but I guess what can you expect from a busy spot. It's busy for a reason it taste good. It's located in the Vons parking lot, there's a lot of parking. The door is a little heavy on the hand. The service is fine. I only went to pick up. Came for dinner last night and immediately liked the ambiance! The atmosphere is cozy and family styled, but also reminded me of a cafe! Ordered the tom kar (coconut seafood soup), spicy catfish, and two iced thai teas: the tom kar was delicious coconut with lime ‍ and lemongrass and bay leaves, seasoned to perfection! They were also very generous with the seafood, and there was a variety such as mussels, shrimp, fish, and more! They also gave a lot of mushrooms! It also had tomatoes and baby corn! Overall very tasty and would get it again! The Thai teas were refreshing! The spicy catfish took a little longer to come out, but it was definitely worth the wait! I know they're trying but none of the interior decorations have anything to do with Thailand. However the food was delicious as always. I have the Pad woon sen and Prik King. Honestly really good pad Thai. Recently moved to Walnut and didn't know this place existed until exploring the neighborhood. Also tried the Sukiyaki pan-fried noodles which were slightly tangy and sweet but in a good way. The pad Thai had Asian QQ texture and was flavorful without being too sweet I'm glad I found this spot! read more

The new owner is definitely doing something right. The Pad Thai, Pad See Ew and Shrimp Fried Rice were all mouthwateringly delicious and bursting with flavor. I walked in to order takeout and was out within 15 min. Service was super friendly and made sure I had everything such as sauce as utensils while packing my order and did so carefully to make sure no sauce or juice spilled in the transit home. I got the green curry with tofu and pork larb & both were delicious & seasoned well with the perfect amount of spicy. I'll definitely be back to try in person next time. :) read more

I stumbled across this place on my lunch break, and it exceeded my expectations. Walked in and it was empty but the vibes were great! Calming music and cute interior. My host/server was very kind and took my order right away. I ordered the yellow curry chicken lunch special and mango sticky rice. The lunch special was almost $14 and includes a main dish, rice, salad, and egg roll. A steal! The salad and egg roll were phenomenal! The curry and rice were great too but the curry was just a tad too sweet for my liking. I got the mango sticky rice on a whim, and it stole the show! I love ordering here from Ubereats. They have some of the best fried rice I've ever had. I usually get the Seafood Fried Rice which just hits the spot each time. It's well portioned and the seafood tastes really good. The rice isn't too salty and doesn't have peas or carrots inside. Love this place! read more

Everything is great in this resto. We always call ahead since we're a party of 5. We always get seats and the food is always delish! Plenty of parking all the time. We go before 7 p.m. and food is ready in a reasonable time. From the pad Thai to the curry and fried tofu, all really flavorful. Not to mention that they're always pleasant. read more

We…read morecame at a good time for dinner and was able to fit our group in two tables pushed together. Each person orders their own thing, picking their ingredients and broth. They weigh your bowl of stuff (veggies, meat, seafood, noodles, etc) and it's $15.99 per pound. If you don't pace yourself, it's very easy to end up with an expensive bowl of hot pot. Mines ended up weighting a little over 1.5 lbs, so my hot pot was over $25 before taxes. Some broths also have an additional charge (like the tonkotsu is $4.95 extra), so keep that in mind. I picked the organic miso broth, which had no extra charge. My hot pot was pretty yummy since I got to choose exactly what I wanted in it and even though I ordered a little too much, I enjoyed it the next day for lunch. The sauce bar is included and they offer iced green tea with refills for $1.99 more. If you need a refill of the iced tea, you can let them know and they'll refill your cup. Very refreshing! Even though we paid separately, they do charge 18% big party service charge for groups of 5 or more. Parking was plentiful and easy in the plaza.

I intended to eat dinner at another chubby…read morelocation but the wait there was too long. that day, wagyu house was only taking reservations but at 8:30 they opened their waitlist to the general public. there is a large parking lot available. they had a deal for 2 for about 150 (this is the price if you have a chubby membership) where you order the base soup, 2 meats, and 6 hotpot sides. we got the golden soup and chicken soup. definitely a fan of the golden soup. it's rich and warm, packed with flavor. for the hotpot sides, we got the wagyu beef meatballs, assorted meatballs, veggie combo, mushroom combo, duck blood, and pumpkin. the deal for 2 also came with a wagyu fried rice and sweet fried bread with condensed milk. the shrimp meatballs were very tender and so was the duck blood. i found myself wanting more mushroom, however. there is a sauce bar which comes with a 3.99 fee to use. in the deal, it came included. there is a great variety of sauces and also some fruit for "dessert"

Now 15 years later and with paltry income, I can treat my mom to lunch here! They're open at 11 AM, but we went in at around 10:50 AM since the Open sign was turned and the Open lights were one. Worker there greeted us with a smile, checked up on us the entire time, refilled our waters, brought us bowls to help us split food even when not prompted, and had a smile on the entire time. For the hour that we were there, a single diner came in and a party of 8 as well. They have a written wait list in front and a to go order kiosk, so you can tell they're pretty popular. Both of us got custom pho, which is $17 (the lowest base price unless you get plain) and you get an option of 3 proteins. Add an extra $1 for fresh noodles. We both just opted for the classic thin noodles. I ordered without beansprouts thinking it was already going to be in our broth, but it comes out as a side dish but the plate was enough for my mom and I to share. HUGE portions of pho. The bowl size is easily a large at any other pho restaurant. Both of us finished all of the meat in our order, but there was still a decent amount of noodles left so come in hungry. I ordered my custom pho with beef brisket, flank, and rib eye. Some of the cuts were a bit more fattier with big chunks of chewy gooey fat, which I'm not a fan of and left in the bowl. Other than that, pretty good meat quality. Not the most tender, but not tiny pieces or too dry either. Broth was pretty flavorful, nice depth of taste with the beef stock flavor, the onions and other garnishes. It's a bit fatty in taste, but it makes it richer in my opinion. We got a regular fried rice to try and take home for my brother's lunch. It's a plain one with carrots, peas, and scrambled eggs with some onions, garlic, and pepper (the spice). First time here with friends, didn't expect much because of some negative reviews about services. It turned out we were really IMPRESSED by the services!!! The staff is friendly, smiley and helpful. They said the new owner who is a young Thai entrepreneur have improved so many things (i.e. services, food ingredients, recipes, cleanliness). The decorations and the menu are still just like in previous reviews. Typical Thai vibe with homey Thai food. We ordered Chicken BBQ, Spicy papaya salad (Som-tom), Seafood Tom Yum and steamed rice. They are all tasty (as Thai people, we ordered extra spicy but it must be just right for non-Thais). I must say that they have tried their best to find as fresh ingredients as possible to deliver authentic taste and aroma of Thai food here -in the US ;-) We had 2 Mango sticky rice for dessert. We recently dined at Bangkok BBQ and had a fantastic experience! We ordered Tofu Pad Thai, Chicken Tom Yum Soup, and Pineapple Fried Rice, and everything was absolutely delicious. We were so impressed that we don't need to drive all the way to Thai Town anymore to enjoy authentic Thai flavors. The service was excellent; our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a Monday night, so the restaurant was pleasantly quiet, creating a very relaxing ambiance. The decor was lovely and added to the overall cozy feel. We ordered enough food for three of us, and there was even some leftover, which was a nice bonus. The Pad Thai was packed with flavor, with tofu and peanuts adding a delightful crunch. I had ordered 4 pad thais and they said it would be done in 10 minutes so I waited 20 minutes and drove over there, which is another 6 to 7 minutes. When I got there my order was still not ready, I then had to wait another 15 minutes before it was done. In total it took over 40 minutes even though they told me it would be done in 10. The worst part is when I finally took a bite, it was very salty. This place used to be really good but it seems to have gone down hill. read more
