My friend loves Thai food so we decided to give this place a try. It was our first time here. We came here for a late lunch on Saturday and they were not packed. I decided on pad see ew with beef. Food came out pretty quick. Their pad see ew looked a bit different from other Thai restaurants I have tried at. Reminded me more of chow fun from Chinese restaurants. The food here is so good I came back that same night! I'm huge on my private or business time. I was able to handle my business and do what I needed to do as well as order food and enjoy it The prawn egg rolls are a 10 out of 10 All of the food was good, but I just have to rave about these prawn eggrolls. They are so huge and definitely worth the price. I have not had a certain food and I can't even tell you how long I have to think of the name of it, but it's so good. It's gonna be in my photos. The place is bigger than it looks like on the outside they pull the shades down to keep the sun from going in your face I do think they should offer some extra napkins. I also believe they should offer you something besides water right when you order. I always like a straw for my drink I did get all the things that I asked for I must say, though the food itself was really good. Decided on Thai food for a late lunch and I've spotted Bangkok Garden driving by the area several times so finally had the chance to check it out. Located in a small plaza but there's ample parking. It's a small place but it is well maintained and very clean with plenty of dining tables. Placed an order to go and it was ready in 10 minutes. Ordered Pad Thai which has chicken, prawns and fried tofu. With these 3 ingredients for the $14 price, it is a pretty good dish at that price as well as a big serving. Pad Thai was delicious!!! My friend absolutely loves Thai food and is always insisting that we go out and try a Thai restaurant. I finally caved and was like let's go pick out the spot and this is where he chose. Inside there are plenty of tables for seating small to large groups. The staff is super friendly and ready to help with any questions you may have. They have a sign that says that food can take a little longer because they're short staffed, but we didn't experience that at all. In fact, our appetizers and entrée all came out really fast. We got the Satay Chicken for appetizers which came with a peanut sauce. For our entrée we got the chicken pumpkin curry and Bangkok fried rice. The Bangkok fried rice had rice and yellow, curry powder, chicken, egg, pineapple, green onion, Chinese sausage, and it was topped with a shredded pork. It all was fresh, hot and had a really good flavor. We both enjoyed our time, the customer service and for sure we'll be back to try more items. The absolute nicest people! I am on a mission to try all the panang curries in town and Bangkok definitely has my attention! We visited on a Sunday and the restaurant was pretty full with regulars which for me is a great thing. Bangkok Garden in Natomas is a spot I've gone back to a few times now. I usually order the crispy garlic chicken and the crab fried rice, and both have been consistent for me. The crispy garlic chicken is probably my favorite. It comes out crispy, not greasy, and the garlic flavor really comes through without being overpowering. The crab fried rice is solid too and pairs well with the rest of the table when you're sharing dishes, or I should say.. IF you're sharing dishes. Service is always good to me here and it seems like no matter who is working, they're courteous and respectful. Came in a group of five this past weekend for dinner, and we were seated immediately. It's a medium-sized restaurant with plenty of tables and Thai decor. I thought the hand-written signs placed around were cute; it's a casual place. For food, we ordered way too much, haha. My mom started out with soup and salad, which could've each been their own entree. We did entrees family-style and ordered green curry with chicken, red curry fried rice with chicken, Thai fried rice with shrimp, and the fried tilapia filet (which comes in a curry; we picked red again). I usually go for green curry at other restaurants, but here, it tasted different and I thought the red was better. Service was friendly and fast, and the pricing was decent. We definitely could've cut down and stuck to three or four items for the table, but on the flip side, we sent relatives home with enough food to last the better part of a week, so hopefully they enjoy it. read more

I've been here just a handful of times over the past few years - even though it's close to where I live, we typically get Thai food in midtown or downtown because there are so many good options. We went here recently because my husband and I were both craving Thai, and it was too late to drive downtown before things started closing. We ordered green curry and the pepper chicken dish to share. They initially mixed up our order but fixed it quickly. The food was tasty enough but nothing special. The main issue was...the bathroom. To get to the bathroom you have to walk through their food storage area, which was a MESS. It also smelled terrible. The bathroom was not cleaned or well stocked. This was pretty concerning to me and made me wonder about their food prep cleanliness. I probably won't be back anytime soon because of this, even though the food is pretty good. read more

This unassuming eatery was a hidden gem tucked in a corner of a quiet strip mall. We were greeted by friendly, demure, attentive staff. The food was very good! The garlic prawns were the highlight. The shell was crunchy and very flavorful! The prawns were decent size and fresh. The Pad Woon Sen was very good as well. Although the eggplant and basil Pork belly dishes had the same reddish orangey color, each dish had their distinct flavor and both dishes were very good. We totally enjoyed every dish we had! I called and place my order today. The same order I ONLY have placed for 5+ years. Then I mentioned how two days ago I ordered the same thing and the Pad Thai was soggy and juicy. I've been coming here for a while and it's never been juicy. Just normal. The main reason I'm typing a review is because I was charged two different prices with in two day. Both order after 7pm. Does this sound like a scam?? I told the cashier and she said they charged me two different items.. no shiii. Anyways this needs to be addressed to the public so people don't feel like they may be the first ones to get charged for different items. If the tables were turned they wouldn't be so happy I think. One last thing.. don't say bye to your customers and then do a stink face to them when they turn to walk away. You guys have windows everywhere and the reflection shows. That was very ugly. My most recent visit, tried the Curry Fried Rice (your choice of red, green, or yellow and a protein), and the Spicy Pompano special. Other specials I saw posted were Crab Fried Rice and Basil Pork Belly. Got the green curry fried rice with shrimp (headless, tail-on). This was wet (in a good way, as opposed to the Bangkok Fried Rice which has dry yellow curry powder mixed in) and had basil, bell peppers, and onions too. Doesn't have all the veg you would expect with an actual curry entree (green beans, eggplant), but it was sooo good. The pompano was not spicy to me at all, which was fine, considering the spice level choices on the menu ranged from mild/medium/hot/Thai spicy/MONSTER Spicy. Not sure how it was prepared (no menu description), but likely fried and had sweet chili sauce. It was a pretty big portion, although smaller than say, a whole tilapia. I usually have had pompano grilled or steamed, but nonetheless the meat was still soft and mildly sweet. Since it was near the end of the night, they were out of the fresh tamarind juice, I'm curious to try it. Bathroom was clean, follow the signs. Not overly busy/loud, relaxing guitar music, and pleasant service. They even accepted a dine-in party of 2 with less than 20 minutes to closing! Took an Uber that dropped us off at the wrong location at first, so we had to grab another ride, but once we arrived, the experience was smooth. The restaurant wasn't packed but had a nice crowd, and we were seated immediately with our group of five. They kindly accommodated our request for separate checks, even though the menu mentions a max of four credit cards per table, which was much appreciated. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I kept it simple with the Pad Thai, which came with a surprising amount of bean sprouts and a mix of tofu, chicken, and shrimp--usually I only get one of those proteins, so that was a nice touch. The flavor was mild with little to no kick, just how I like it. Portions were generous--I couldn't even finish my plate but saved room for dessert. I ordered the Ube ice cream, which I was told was two scoops but arrived in a huge cup--definitely more than two scoops! My coworker had the Thai coffee ice cream, a limited-time flavor that reminded me of Kona coffee and was also delicious. Our checks came on handwritten Post-it notes, which felt a bit quirky but charming, and I appreciated any effort to keep costs down for customers. This is a very delayed review but a friend mentioned this place today and I realized I had never done the review back when I meant to. About 7 or 8 months ago, while I was still unemployed and struggling, I decided to treat myself to one meal out after running job hunting errands. I decided on Thai food and decided to go here. I started to order online - their posting on Yelp led me to Door Dash (which I hadn't used in a long time because I don't like supporting the high fees they charge restaurants). I reviewed the entree I wanted then saw a yam appetizer that sounded good. Because it was a great price and said it was "lightly fried" (I don't like oily food), I decided to splurge and get it, too. I realized I wasn't that far away from it, so I decided to call in my order instead so as to help them out (less fees for them). I arrived within 15 min of closing, I paid the amount they rang up but it was quite a bit higher than expected compared to what I saw online. I went back to my car and looked at the online ordering againcand sure enough, the price was less cost. So I went back in because I thought maybe the cashier who ringed it up got it wrong. The manager overheard and proceeded to say that Door Dash hadn't updated the prices for their restaurant. I said "So this would have cost me less if I had ordered it online?" and he simply said "Yes." I told him I hadn't done that to try to help them. He said "okay" and turned around and walked away. He made no apology for the discrepancy, no offer to offset the price in any way or give any effort to try to make things right. I left and went to the car. I then checked if my order was right and when I opened the container of yams, they were super oily and obviously deep fat fried not lightly fried, as if either their oil was too cold or they had made no attempt to drain the yams. I took the carton and headed back for the door but it was locked...10 minutes prior to the closing time. The eggplant entree with tofu had very little eggplant and was also super oily. I haven't been back since. Now I wasn't expecting to get anything for free, but when there is a mistake that isn't the customers fault, the right thing to do is to at least acknowledge it and/or to try to make things right. Not to turn your back or to lock out customers before your posted hours. There are too many other Thai places in town that I can go to but it sure would have been nice to be able to support my local one, especially one that has more vegan items (I'm not vegan but prefer plant based choices). In a nutshell; good food, though the food took quite a while so seems they get an influx of orders and may get rather busy, still it goes to show the food is good. Went on a Saturday around dinner time , got quickly sat down but after our orders were taken it took quite a while before one of orders arrived. It may just be a relatively busy dinner time as they had a ton of pick up orders on deck. Nonetheless, the food was great despite the wait. The servers were accommodating and kind, never had a moment where my glass had no water. Overall maybe it was just a tough night so I'll keep the rating high as food was good. We've been coming here for take out for years. This whole plaza has a good variety of options and plenty of parking and Bangkok Garden is a reliable spot for delicious food. They have so many options, including some I've only seen here, as well as a whole vegan menu. It's easy to find something everyone can enjoy. I always order the Tom Kha soup with tofu ($5.95) and I love trying different menu items along with it. On my latest visit I ordered the lunch Green Curry ($11.95) and Pad Thai with pork ($13.95), along with two Thai iced teas ($4/each). Other dishes I've loved are their BKG Special Pad Thai, drunken mama noodles, all their curries and appetizers like their egg rolls. The staff is always friendly and since I've been ordering take out it's usually just the interaction of paying and receiving my order. Really wanted this place to be great for my parents. They have not found a Thai place as good as in their old neighborhood and after this visit, I can confirm this ain't it. The styrofoam containers are really cheap. We ordered takeout and half the styrofoam containers fell apart like I've never seen. Im guessing they melted which is scary since now we're ingesting styrofoam. If you read this, please change your styrofoam containers and charge me $1.00 takeout fee so I don't spend 15 minutes transferring food to Tupperware, washing up, and eating styrofoam. Some of the food was really oily and overly saucy. I know things like mixed veggies are going to be in liquid but the rice shouldn't be that oily and the peanut sauce dish we got was drowning in peanut water. The crispy chicken was good but lots of cartilage. Perfectly crispy even after I drove home and cleaned all the containers. Fried rice and garlic rice were tasty. Pad se ew flavorful with noodles cooked perfectly. A little greasy but still good. Vegetables tasted bland but once again tasted more like oil than anything so that overpowered any flavor. Delicious! The ambiance of the place seems like an authentic Thai restaurant. Beautiful orchids and shrine decoration at the front. It wasn't busy when we came in at 5PM, so it was calm and peaceful. The best we've had and the drunken noodles were good, but half the plate had lettuce instead of noodles. An eggplant dish was ordered and it was okay. My mom ordered a stir fry vegetable plate but it was drenched in oil. Not the healthy dish she asked for I then ordered mango sticky rice, she went to the back to get it to tell me that they ran out.
