I love their Pad Kee Mao! The food is delicious and beautifully plated in the restaurant. Service is always great. The decor of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful and the woodwork is phenomenal! Bangkok Garden is my favorite Thai restaurant. Tonight I got one of my go to favorites Vegetarian Green Curry. The curry has the right amount of spice to it and has lots of veggies. My favorite thing about this dish is that they don't fry their tofu unlike most Thai restaurants. We also got the steamed tofu roles with spicy peanut sauce. Super yummy! The food is served in large portions and the salad that comes with the meal has the best ginger dressing ever. read more

This place is great! And it's really pretty inside. I loved their wood carved molding around the ceiling and bar (PS-it's a full bar!). My server was very nice and super fast! I ordered the lunch portion of the Veggie Masaman Curry (and got it without tofu), and it was awesome. It had great flavor: a little sweet and not spicy enough to make me cry. This Thai restaurant has an appealing atmosphere and is waited by attentive, polite staff. I ordered a Thai iced coffee, Tom Yum Kah soup, and Panang vegetable and tofu curry. I ordered a tofu special, but the tofu was overcooked and chewy without much flavor. We were in a group of 4 and no one finished their meals, so I think it left something to be desired. I always get an order of the satay when I come here. The shrimp green curry is excellent. A lot of the curry dishes have an abundance of bell peppers. I often order to go. The interior is very pleasant and decorative. The flatware are basic and should be replaced. Staff are pleasant. The price is reasonable. read more

I've eaten here close to a dozen times and the food is always super fresh and the service on point. I love the little salad they start you off with and their steamed spring rolls with tofu are delicious with the peanut sauce. They have a couple of fantastic vegetarian dishes on the menu. I am in town for work and was in desperate need of pad thai. I go to Bangkok Garden, because it was the most highly rated Thai restaurant in Williamsburg on Yelp. Everyone in here seems frantic, despite it not being very busy for a Tuesday evening. The staff is nice and I order a spring roll and veggie pad thai. The entree comes with salad (ok, but who doesn't like a freebie) and the spring roll is ok. The pad thai comes out and I'm pumped up, looking at this giant plate of noodles. Well, my food was terrible. It was flavorless and greasier than a cheeseburger. The veggies were brown and looked like they were on their last leg before being stirfried. What would have been an OK and incendiary version of Laab, but ruined by some gristly cartilage-y chunks. A "Three Flavor Shrimp" special promised a blend of three exotic sauces. Not terrible Thai food, but for the price we wanted something more than just "not terrible". First, the service wasn't great. We were asked to wait for more than 5 minutes simply because no one could seat us. There were empty tables, but instead we were told to wait by the door. Our table service was rushed, even when there were 4 tables with people at them. They acted kind of like we were interrupting something by being here. The food. We started with a papaya salad. Normally one of my favorites at a thai place. This papaya salad was very strong tasting. Not bad, but strong. The papaya wasn't fresh and crisp, seemed to have been sitting in the suace for a while. I ordered the pad kaprow with chicken. I liked my dish. Spicy, a lot of basil and onion, and the chicken was cooked correct. The pad see ew was bland and different (not in a good way). If you normally like pad see ew, order something different. Finally, mango and sticky rice. The mango was very sweet and tasty. The sticky rice was also good, pretty sweet. The off putting thing was that the rice and coconut milk was a light shade of green. Looked a bit like split pea soup poured over everything. It didn't impact the flavor, but seemed unnecessary. I suspected that perhaps they used some sort of bamboo powder to enhance the flavors, but I really couldn't taste the powder. If I were the chef, I would leave out the green color for a more natural look. Also, a bit less sugar perhaps. The place was clean and well decorated. As I said, not terrible, but we will likely not return with so many other food options in the area. read more

The spring rolls were excellent. We shared a green and other type of curry. The green was nicely spicy and it paired well with the more savory and peanut-y one.
