I've been here a few times for boba and it's great boba, however I ordered their food for the first time today and was underwhelmed. The food was good, decent amount, but we were charged $4 for delivery, .75 cents for a menu and several items were removed from my order when I asked them to remove a dinner that on their old menu was only $8 and now was $12 that I no longer wanted. When I called him and explained that I never asked for the other items to be removed he simply said I'll send you a receipt of what I charged you for and hung up on me. I'm uploading an updated menu since the website is also not working. Feel like the whole thing could have been avoided with an updated menu and if I would have been told about the $4 delivery fee! So this is what I can do to help

Service was fast! Pho was flavorful and SO good. We also got an order of crab rangoons and vegetable egg rolls. Both were crispy, warm and delicious. 10/10!

Great customer service. I've been looking for a boba spot and this place is minutes from my house. I found them on yelp and I'm glad I did food was good and I loved my mango, passion fruit smoothie w/ lychee jelly. I went back the next day and got a strawberry pineapple smoothie with pineapple jelly that was also really good.

Came here to get an iPhone. They didn't have any. Just had soup. FALSE ADVERTISING. I really like the service here because the girl with tattoos was friendly and verrrry attractive. The products are just not very good. I actually like the Banh Mi sandwich but I didn't love it and I'm not the hardest person to please when it comes to these things. The drinks were really bad. I hardly had a couple of sips. I don't like spring rolls but Barbie loves them and she says that these ones were some of the worst she had. They had a lot of shrimp but they just didn't work. The other ingredients made them not very good such as very sweet pickled carrot that took over the flavor. So I think this place is okay and has amazing prices but really bad drinks and Barbie thinks this place absolutely sucks LOL. I support local places though, so 3.

So after a downtown experience in Fort Worth that was not what we expected, we decided to look for a hole in the wall place and get food we really like. On our way home we found this Asian diner that doesn't look like much from the outside but is nice once you get in. We are rating both places separately based on the food we had. (They seems to have 3 dif businesses under one roof.... 3rd one was a boba place my daughter confirm as being good and my son liked the Thai tea.) As for the pho: veggie plate was great, not skimpy and veggies were fresh.... we just ordered extra lime (you know me) and that was it. Not sure if the pho was recently made but it was a bit "light" on flavor (pho tends to pack more flavor the longer it boils) ....but good though. Meat was good and plate was very well served!!! The only other thing bring the score to 3 stars is it was not boiling hot... so that leads me to believe that that is the way they make it... so it was good but only good. Servicié was great and quick!! We loved the place and definitely will come back!! Till next time.

Legit Vietnamese restaurant right by TCU.. seafood pho was very satisfying. Broth is flavorful and they give you a good amount for the price.. I ordered a regular and it seem like a large at most Vietnamese restaurant and even I couldn't finish it.. I also like the fact that they have a self service condiment bar so you can load up on the bean sprouts. Hot chili oil is definitely a must to add to your pho.. Wether your a student at TCU, work around this area, or just happen to be in the neighborhood definitely stop in For your pho fix!

Amazing food fast service what more can u ask for and they have bobo tea

I really enjoy the pho here. After my second visit, I'm definitely a fan of this Vietnamese comfort food. The location is good for tcu students and any working professionals. The interior is nice in the seating area and they even have a nice bench for those waiting for takeout. I do think they could spend a little more time on handwriting their menu items on the chalkboard. It is a little messy to look at with old eraser marks and crossed out words. These are small little details that would really make the place nicer. The owner and workers are very nice. They are accommodating. An example is today I ordered a beef brisket pho with no brisket. I did this because I was sick and wanted to stick to just broth and noodles. They offered broccoli or carrots to add in to the soup just because they wanted to make sure it wasn't too plain (I assume). I declined but it still made an impression. Finally, let's talk pho. I recommend the beef pho. It has a very rich flavor that you do not get in the chicken pho. However, if you do get the chicken pho, I recommend using that chili paste like sauce in the jars. It really adds flavor and a nice spice to the broth. I really like that they have a little bar with sides to add to your pho. I love to add extra bean sprouts and cilantro. This food will fill you up and you will have leftovers! It's a great deal for $8.95 and I hope it doesn't change. Whether you're sick or healthy, pho is my new go to meal.

The chicken dumplings were a bit extra crispy but it was okay. My favorite was the fresh rolls with shrimp and peanut butter sauce. My fiancé loved the broccoli stir fried combo. Our experience was good overall. We will be going back.

So this was a choice made by my husband and it was a great choice! The food was great! And the amout you get is crazy, I'm pretty sure I will be eating this tonight and for lunch tomorrow. Jimmy got his pho beef and he loved it. I chose the fried rice with pork and the flavor was wonderful! We also go the egg rolls, pork, and they were great as well I highly recommend this place if you like pho places. Eat well!

Big win for my fellow veg heads too, there are plenty of customizable options which I always appreciate. That said, both my husband's dish and mine felt a little muted. We were chasing that classic Vietnamese fragrance, a little more salt, a little more spice, and ended up doing some DIY with sriracha and extra jalapeños to get there. It definitely wasn't bad by any means, just not quite hitting that craveable level that brings you back the next day.

My husband always orders the spicy filet mignon pho, and it never disappoints. The broth has a nice kick, and the filet mignon is tender and flavorful. I usually like trying something different each visit aside from the spicy pho, and so far I've enjoyed the curry plate with grilled shrimp, sliced grilled pork, Korean BBQ short ribs, shaken beef, and the beef stew. Every dish we've tried has been satisfying, well-seasoned, and generously portioned. The service is always friendly and quick, even when they're busy. The restaurant itself is clean, comfortable, and a nice place to relax for a casual meal.

While the bahn mi isn't exactly traditional, it is still very good -- I'd highly suggest getting it with the pate. The sampler appetizer has a little bit of everything and is great for sharing. Pineapple fried rice was delicious. Pad Thai also great! If you're a spicy eater like me, just go for very spicy. A quick note on seating: the patio is lovely in theory, with the optional open windows and a breezy feel, but the chairs are not winning any comfort awards. Inside booths are the move. Also worth noting, this is Fort Worth, and once the thermometer hits triple digits, the patio conversation ends itself if the windows are open. Plan accordingly. Malai starts every table with steamed sticky rice and an eggplant dip, which is a charming little ritual and a genuinely good one. We also kicked things off with the Edamame, a heads up on the heat level there, and the Fried Imperial Rolls, filled with ground pork and shrimp and served with a sesame soy sauce. Fair warning: these do not photograph well and arrive at the table looking a little shy. Don't be fooled. They're flavorful, subtly spicy, and well worth ordering. For entrees, we tried the Basil Vegetable Fried Rice two ways, one vegan and one with chicken. The vegan version was a genuine surprise, with vegetables cooked just right and a flavor that didn't need the chicken to make its case. The mushrooms, however, had the texture of something you'd find in a hardware store. Chew at your own risk. The Green Curry, meanwhile, was a case of too much of a good thing. The curry was so heavy-handed it drowned everything underneath it. Sometimes restraint is a virtue. Save room for the Banana Pot de Crème. It's creamy, subtly sweet, and a graceful finish to the meal. The service at Malai is enthusiastic, and I do mean enthusiastic. The staff works as a team, all smiles, attentive, always nearby. Occasionally a little too nearby. More than once a plate nearly disappeared before we were done with it. It's a small complaint, and honestly a far better problem than the alternative. They're warm, cheerful, and clearly enjoy what they do, which goes a long way. Portions are generous, so order a few dishes and share the wealth. For a lunch stop between shops, Malai Kitchen punches well above its weight.
