Hot and not so sour soup

The food here is very good but inconsistent. I always order the heat level at mild/medium per their online ordering. Sometimes it's mild sometimes its so hot I can't eat it. I'm not afraid of heat. Indian and Thai are my favorite foods but I like to be able to feel my face. Also, their refusal to open back up for more than carry out is annoying. They package the food well, so well you don't really want to open It before you get home which leaves you super disappointed when you drive the 20 minutes back home to realize the spring rolls you have been dreaming about and paid for are missing. The only thing I've ordered and not liked is the hot and sour soup. It's not hot or sour. Instead, it is very, very sweet. Like dessert sweet.

Only open for to go orders! I'm not a fan of taking food to go! I couldn't pass an opportunity to try a spot with such high reviews. I'm from San Antonio, Texas. I go to a local spot that has not had anything that comes close to their Pad Thai. Well today, thanks to Yelp having so many reviews, I found the next best thing!! The hot chicken pad thai is amazing! I see many more menu items I'd like to try. Anytime I am in town for training, I will definitely come back

We were pleasantly surprised to find a Thai restaurant located right across the street from the hotel we booked in Maumee as we traveled to New York for Christmas. Due to COVID Bangkok Kitchen was still take away service only when we were there -- but that was OK with us. It took less than five minutes for me to walk across the street to pick up the food (it probably would have taken longer to drive there and back due to the divided roadway and traffic lights). It took a bit longer than promised for the order to be completed -- but eight or nine minutes was close enough for me. We ordered two servings of Pad Thai (each with a different protein) and a papaya salad. The potion sizes were generous enough for us to eat our fill and have some leftovers for lunch on the road the next day. The flavor was pretty good -- though I would have preferred a bit more heat in mine -- so be sure to specify how hot you like it and/or ask for some sriracha on the side to kick it up a notch if necessary. My only disappointment was that when we stayed in the same hotel on our return trip a day or so after Christmas -- the kitchen was closed for their holiday break. Too bad for me -- but good for the hardworking restaurant owners and employees who deserve a few days off for the holidays too.

I am somebody who does not mind paying more for good food. In my experience usually Thai takeout tends to be hefty portions since it's mostly rice and noodles, etc.. We ordered four entrées, a curry, one soup and two summer rolls and we paid $145 without tip. OK that was pricey... When we opened the boxes they aren't even close to full. The portion sizes are disappointing. The summer roll, I will never order again. We paid seven dollars for two rolls that are essentially rice paper with a ton of iceberg, lettuce and carrot. No shrimp, definitely no pork belly, no cilantro, no mint, no flavor! I will say the peanut sauce was fire. It was so good. I actually made my own spring rolls so I could continue to use it. The three stars are honestly for the service. People have remarked that the owner is rude dismissive and on sanitary, we didn't have any of that. She was kind, courteous, helpful, and fast. I saw her wash her hands. Besides the summer rolls, there was nothing bad about the meal. But if I'm paying $144 for four people to eat- I want leftovers. There are so many good Thai places in Toledo, what I will say is they have a very expensive menu. I wouldn't mind trying one more time to order something special like duck. I did try to post a ton of menu photos. Ignore the pricing. Everything is anywhere between $2.50 and five dollars an entrée more. I looked online all over for a menu and could not find anything other than what was on yelp. It all looked very dated. The menu in the restaurant is also outdated. Unfortunately I'm unable to post anything with their actual menu prices. If you were trying to get Thai food on a budget, do not stop here

I wanted to take her to someplace I had not been to and since she enjoys wine as much as I do, I thought Urban Pine Winery might be the place we both would enjoy. With seeing it had an outdoor area and it was a nice evening, I thought this would be the perfect place. We were seated right away outdoors but we sat for 10 minutes before a server even came to our table to take our drink orders. We had reviewed the menu and even selected our meals before the server arrived. The wine we both received was so, so. We order the Enormous Knot which was great. My friend ordered the Pulled Pork Panini and I ordered the Gold Coast Shrimp Tacos. The Pulled Pork Panini, the pork was tender and good but there was no real flavor to it. You should offer a side of BBQ Sauce, or Spicy Mayo or a Brown Grainy Mustard. The Goled Coast Shrimp Tacos had No Feta Cheese on them and lacked flavor also. I will say we enjoyed the Homemade Chips and the Pretzel Knot. I will say we were a little disappointed especially after being to many Wineries in the Cleveland/Akron areas. I will try Urban Pine Winery again, just to give them a 2nd chance but my first impression was not positive.

On a recent drive-through Toledo I found this interesting little winery/restaurant and the menu definitely deserved me and my group paying a visit. My steak was the first to arrive at the table and I have to admit I had trouble identifying what was on top. Was it fresh mozzarella??? Nope. It was several slices of cool, unmelted horseradish herb butter - which sounded great as described on the menu - but was executed poorly. Every bite of steak was like simultaneously taking a bite off of a stick of butter right out of the fridge. The fries were also just meh. It wasn't all bad, though. The Bee.L.T., I must admit, looked amazing! Two people at my table ordered it, and I secretly hoped they would offer to share it with me. It was also beautifully presented. An other person at my table ordered the mushroom miso stroganoff which also looked amazing and which she described as "delightful." The restaurant itself was beautiful, including the outdoor seating and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Taking into account all the good and all the bad, this was a solid three star experience. I would definitely go back, though, to give them another chance.
