This was the highlight of my lunch. I was happy to see them bring over this little selection of hot sauces
    Brian B.

So this is a restaurant that changed hands a few times I first went here about 13 years ago at that time it was very authentic and the food was delicious, the service was impeccable. My last trip here was completely different. The decor is the same decor hasn't changed. It was noon on a weekday, and the restaurant was completely empty. I was the only person there. It took a long time to get servers server who I assume was "the son" as described in other reviews,. I asked the server if they had different levels of richness which some restaurants offer, however the question seem to throw him for a loop. I then asked if the Pho came with a side of lime, jalapeños, and basil. He said it did not that the herbs just came inside the broth. I asked if I could get a side of jalapeños, lime and basil, and to hold the bean sprouts. My pho arrived and my side plate was heaped with bean sprouts. The broth didn't have that deep richness of flavor, it was bland. This is any basic chicken soup broth. The noodles are overcooked and gummy. It was not worth it $16 price tag. As I was eating, an older gentleman came into the dining room and again I was the only person there, he walks up to my table and he says " yeah, you look like a trouble maker " so I assumed the server had been talking ill about me. The gentleman then asked which car I drove that was parked outside, and when I told him which car he then began to compare my car to cheaper brands of cars. It was a very odd exchange, and it felt like some sort of attempt to make me feel less than. I thought to myself does it matter what I'm driving. I'm the only customer sitting in the restaurant spending money. Felt very petty. This guy could definitely be nicer. This restaurant is not what it once was , many of the reviews that you'll read that are good Reviews are from the prior owners as well as the photos

I think the name (and menu) must have changed as there are no burgers in either now! But we were there for the Thai anyway!! We shared the spicy chicken wings and wontons for appetizers and added the peanut sauce on the side which was all delicious! The service was super friendly and efficient answering any questions we had along the way! For entrees we had yellow curry, pad Thai and pad ew see all with chicken although my daughter did order beef with hers but we chose to let that go. The food was perfect and two of the three of us had enough to bring a little home for a lunch, but the servings were not overwhelming. The place is small with some beautiful Thai wall hangings and pictures - definitely on the casual side. We're planning to try them with Grubhub so the rest of the family can try!

This is honestly my favorite Thai restaurant in the valley. They're authentic and the portions are huge. I've been coming here since it's Thai dish and burger and the quality has only gotten better. Their papaya salad is my absolute favorite and I love the drunken noodle with chicken. The owners and employees here are so friendly and welcoming. Can't wait for dine in to reopen!

I can't comment on much aside from the food, but we felt like it was really good! I loved my Thai iced tea and I got pad Thai with shrimp, which was delicious. Perfect noodle to sauce ratio for me. We don't live in the area, but when we are back for a visit... We will definitely come by again!

I passed this restaurant headed to Southbury. I was definitely intrigued by the title. Simple but very diverse. I made a mental note and decided to try them the next time I passed by. I am so glad I made the decision to do so. I managed to catch their lunch special. I enjoy the fact that it comes with a couple of appetizers. One crab Rangoon, one spring roll and 2 fried wontons. Because the wontons contain chicken, I asked the woman over the phone if I could exchange them for their Thai vegetable dumplings. She obliged with ease. I also decided to try the mussel curry. Everything was delicious. But the mussel curry was amazing!. I would go there just for that dish alone. The curry sauce had a hint of coconut and a nice kick. The drunken noodles were pretty good, flavored nicely. I ordered the drunken noodles with shrimp. I believe there were three pieces. It was a large portion for a lunch serving in my opinion. I still had leftovers. If you ever find yourself in this area, I highly recommend this establishment.

One got the sense that the other diners that evening felt much the same way. It was a weeknight, and with a lower customer load than might be the case on a Friday or weekend, she had ample time to spend with each party, regaling us all with fun conversation. It goes without saying that the company in one's own party makes a whale of a difference, and in that regards I could not have asked for better. This is to take nothing away from the food, which was absolutely delicious, flavorful and mercifully not too spicy - our aging gastrointestinal systems are sadly just not up for the violent torment from a chilli assault like when we were younger, and felt invincible. The mango rice dessert - enough for two to split - was sublime. And the town of Naugy itself - for both of us an unknown quantity til that evening despite having whizzed past it a ton on Route 8, hammering down the famous Naugahyde River Valley - is intriguing. Naugatuck offers gorgeous and fascinating architecture from the last two centuries at least, evidence of thriving mill-driven industry in years past, very easy access from the highway, and lots of close on-street parking, at least on a Thursday evening. BYOB if you are that way inclined, as they don't have a liquor license. Will we be back to Chiangmai Thai? Abso-frikkin-lutely. I've you've already been, then go back again, and soon. If you haven't had the pleasure, get moving now and thank me later.

The place had a really nice and chill vibe, really nice decor and a great spot for a somewhat nice lunch. They were serving their lunch menu and I ended up getting the mussels pad Thai, and a chicken curry puff appetizer and a Thai tea. The Thai tea was solid, and the chicken curry puffs were very good. But the stand out was the pad Thai. I've never had a creamy pad Thai and this was amazing. So flavorful. I didn't know what to expect with the mussels but I loved the mussels in the shell and it added a great flavor to the dish! I will definitely be coming back again to order this, and try some of their other items!

This is supposedly the best Thai restaurant in Connecticut. Delicious!…read more Crab Fried Rice: The rice grains were separate and refreshing, but lacked wok hei 鑊氣, resembling crab meat and scrambled eggs mixed with rice. The sauce was similar to Thai seafood sauce, but thicker, with a very strong garlic kick. Mixing it into the rice added a clever touch, cutting through the richness without making it soggy. Long Island Duck Pineapple Curry: Recommended by the owner. My first time trying a sweet and sour curry; the refreshing pineapple balanced well with the rich curry. The duck was just okay, mainly because it was too dry. Mango Sticky Rice: A pleasant surprise; my parents also loved it. The coconut milk had a strong sea salt and caramel flavor, likely due to the addition of coconut sugar or palm sugar. Steamed Vegetables: Just steamed vegetables, without any seasoning. A sprinkle of salt would have made it tastier.

This was originally review 148 (149 if you want to count the one review I had that had been deleted) out of all the reviews I've done. Before I get into what changed, I will point to the one thing I stand most by: the Crab Rangoon. This time I had it served to me on a plate, with a separate section for the plum sauce, and this time I had a small pile of shredded carrot and a leaf or two of greens. My opinion about the Crab Rangoon remains the same, which is to say they're outstanding. The plum sauce I've come to learn is the sweetest part of the dish and was a big reason as to how the dish ended up being so sweet. The filling to breading ratio is top-notch, the breading is crispy without feeling like I'm eating mushy bread, and the flavor of the filling is divine. So into what changed. You might have gotten the hint when I talked about the plating of the Crab Rangoon, but I dined in this time, and honestly, it's much better to eat this in the restaurant than to just go to the take-out window. If you have time and are in Watertown, I would definitely recommend parking your car and coming in. It's a cozy interior that's very casual. It's not quite at the level of fine dining, but it is still an intimate place to eat, maybe even romantic. It's very well-decorated, and the employees here are very friendly. Would I say they treat you like family? Ehhhhh..... I don't know about that one, but maybe the next step down it's a little clearer. As for what else I had this time around, please give a warm welcome to the Thai Iced Coffee, the Red Duck Curry with white rice, and the Fried Ice Cream! The Red Curry is spicy, but not unbearably so. The Iced Coffee actually pairs perfectly with this to cool down the heat (I actually had to order 2 of those coffees believe it or not). The duck was crispy and tender at the same time and the vegetables in the curry were for the most part great. My only knock on the dish would be the eggplant. That did come out mushy, but luckily there were only like 2 slices of it, so it wasn't a big deal. You can use the spoon they provide to ladle some of that sauce onto the rice, which actually gives the rice more flavor. As for the Iced Coffee, it was a great coffee and I would definitely have this iced coffee any time I come here and have one of their curries. Does it carry the whole meal on its own? No. But as a drink to help balance things out, it's a winner. As for the fried ice cream, they did phenomenal. You actually have to let the ice cream melt slightly to get into it because the ice cream inside the coating is still cold enough to be hard to cut into with a spoon. But it was a delicious dessert to end things off on. I would like to have this with chocolate ice cream, but that's just a personal preference and not sure how that would work. lol I think now that I've had the full restaurant experience here, I can safely say I was a little harsh giving this a 4 the last time around, and even that was still a good meal. The ambiance, the service, and the fact I got to try more things I ended up liking enough to recommend to others was enough for me to bring this up to the full 5. This will definitely be my Waterbury area option for Thai food going forward.
