    Vietnamese cookie
    Kristina K.

Found this booth at the sip shop eat in Sunnyvale and I'm sooo happy I stopped to buy some cookies!!!! I ended up buying all three flavors, strawberry & white chocolate, Vietnamese coffee, and carrot cake. My favorites were the Vietnamese coffee & carrot cake. BOTH SOOO INCREDIBLE!!!!! The Vietnamese one is like coffee chocolate chip, so so good. And the carrot cake was like a carrot cake in cookie form soo freaking good!!!!! Such nice people at the booth I can't wait to get more cookies!

Left is their toasted coconut pandan and on the right is their salted chocolate chip.

I'm copying over my Google review on here: I stopped by a pop-up in SF a few weeks ago while my husband was checking out another vendor, and I'm so glad I did. I grabbed their chocolate cookie on a whim... and it was so good I immediately went back for another, plus a pandan coconut cookie. Both were seriously delicious. Fast forward to recently, I couldn't stop thinking about them, so I placed a preorder. My husband tried them before I got to it and said they're even better than his usual go-to at Antoine's Cookies (and he goes there almost every week, so that's saying something). Honestly, I'm really surprised this place has such low reviews. Based on my experience, they absolutely deserve more love and business. Definitely worth checking out if you come across them!

Delicious cookies all around! I really enjoyed the Vietnamese Coffee, Pandan Coconut, and Banana Walnut (did not try the salted chocolate chip cookie). I bought a box of four variety for a friend's birthday gift and got two additional variety boxes for other friends and for myself to try. My brain the entire time: "How sweet is this...if this is too sweet, this box is going to people/kids I know who have a sweet tooth" you know what? It's at the right mark of sweetness. Lol. I thought, "Wow, not bad...wow, I'm actually going to finish this entire cookie!" Communication with the owner was also easy and the instructions attached to where the pickup location was easy to find (thank you!) I would definitely buy from here again, for both as gifts to others and for myself when I was a treat :-)

Came across Banh Bakery from browsing through yelp. I'm glad I gave them a try! What caught my eye is the fact that they make vietnamese inspired flavors. I used the website to pre-order my cookies for pick up. I believe they needed at least 5 days minimum notice. I ordered the toasted pandan coconut, vietnamese coffee, carrot cake, raspberry white chocolate and salted chocolate chip. I ordered 15 cookies for a friendsgiving and everyone loved them! The flavors were on par, definitely not too sweet and also very flavorful. Sometimes it's hard to nail particular flavors but Banh Bakery does it so well. The packaging was also very nice! I love the fact that they included the nutrition info on the back. My friends are lowkey health freaks and always need to know what they're consuming. At the moment it seems as the menu is very limited, I also believe the raspberry white chocolate was seasonal. I'm hoping to see some more unique flavors in the future!

BÁNH BAKERY has the BEST cookies and packaging!

I highly recommend…read moreit for people who don't want to deal with the line that understandably goes out the door. The food is worth the wait. Don't sleep on the black pepper sausage danish: the croissant dough is crisp and flaky, and doesn't get soggy when baked around the sausage. It's comparable in execution to the Croissant Hot Dog served at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas (in Caesar's Palace), but at a way more accessible price point. Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively. Conversing is a little tough, but if you just need a place to sit while eating, it's just right. Extra special shout out this time to Dill who had informed me the fried chicken dishes today would be an hour and a half wait. After deciding there wasn't anything I wanted more than the Fried Chicken and Spiced Croffle (croissant dough baked in a waffle iron) and was happy to wait, they were nice enough to check in with the kitchen and see if it could be made sooner than that. I didn't expect to be accommodated, so I was happy they were able to do that. You get two chicken thighs and croffles per order. It's enough for two light eaters to share.

Depending on the time, it can get quite crowded. I came in around 9:30am and by the time I got to checkout, the baristas ran out of dine-in mugs. Which is why I opted for an iced americano. It had a nice creama layer and a well balanced flavor. Not too acidic or bitter. I got the french onion soup, labeled as a popular item/staple of the bakery. It is quite a lot of soup, I wish it came with a side of bread/sourdough as towards the end it was all soup and nothing to contrast it. It was nicely broiled at the top with some small pieces of bread and a healthy layer of cheese that made it so exciting to eat. Even the crust of the bread had some crunch although fully soaked. The bakery has wifi which is really handy since I think reception in that area wasn't the best. Wifi password is displayed at the register. I will come back to try the sandwiches!

They were soft, chewy, and delicious. The center was gooey with plenty of big chucks of chocolate. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Choc Cookies. The staff were nice and helpful. The cozy environment was family friendly. Thier $10.00 Tuesday special is a great value. I definitely want to come back to try the other cookie flavors.

This time I decided to stop by here after dinner, my first time sitting down here and ordering. The inside is very clean, modern, and Pinterest-like. They added more decorations and seating from 2 years ago, making the inside more aesthetic. whaT's More always has unique Asian flavors, like durian, earl grey, pandan, red bean, and oolong. The cakes are not too sweet, so definitely Asian parent approved haha! Unfortunately, when we came around 6:30pm, they were sold out of most flavors - so would definitely recommend coming earlier or just ordering online earlier in the morning for pickup. We got the sesame dark chocolate crepe cake. When you eat in the store, the owner provides you with free cups of tea, which are really great for washing down the cake. The chocolate was super rich, and they did not skimp out on the flavor - super chocolatey. The sesame added such a fun earthy and nutty flavor - I thoroughly enjoyed it! The cake is on the slightly denser side, so was super filling. While on the pricier side, the flavors are super unique and the craft that goes into crepe cakes is commendable. I will be ordering my next cake from here again!

The place was situated in a quiet plaza just outside of Lawrence Expressway. There's ample parking but it doesn't feel like the location is suitable for a cafe where you can picture sitting inside looking through some big windows facing a busy pedestrian walkway. However, once I stepped inside, I was surprised at how zen and peaceful the decorations were and how fitting it was for a cozy and quiet cafe hangout. The cake shelf was surprisingly busy. And this is where I took one star out because the lines were confusing and the staff skipped me to talk to the group behind me while I was clearly the next to be helped. Luckily another staff member came out from the back kitchen and jumped in to help. The staff spoke fluent mandarin. I was interested in their box cakes. A few of the yelpers raved about their soy milk cake and luckily they had one out for sampling. It was covered with lots of cream and the cake layer was soft and moist, but it was still slightly too sweet for me and I felt that it lacked the tofu kind of soy flavor. Then, I spotted on their menu that they have a black sesame matcha box cake, and black sesame is always my favorite, so I asked for it. They had the last one left! The staff said she had never tried it so she couldn't tell me if it is less sweet than the soy milk cake. Since it was the last one available and I already sampled the soy cake, I decided to give it a try. I am happy that I did. The cake was filled with matcha mousse and tasted light and aromatic with the jasmine kind of matcha flavor. It is definitely less sweet. Unfortunately, it doesn't have as much black sesame as I'd like. But overall, the cake flavor is the kind that I like, subtle, moist, and not too sweet. $38 for a box cake of 4x4 is a bit pricey, but I'm glad that I gave it a try. The cakes were freshly made and tasted best the same day of purchase. They also recommend refrigerating the cake and consuming it within a day or two.

The taro coconut was light and refreshing so I enjoyed that as well! Today I decided to venture and buy the durian but I have not YET tried it.
