A good place to get bahn mi and Vietnamese dessert. This place can get pretty crowded but is one of the original bahn mi chains I would go to growing up. This one is probably less crowded then the other branch across from target but the bahn mi slaps especially if you come when they are piping hot which is almost all the time. I always get the special bahn mi which includes all the usual fixings.

This is definitely a local favorite because it was packed when I walked in! The sandwiches and drinks are super affordable. They also have delicious baked goods! I ordered the BBQ pork banh mi and it was huge! The bread was fresh and the meat was filled with flavor. The usual toppings added some freshness to the sandwich. I also got a large Thai tea which was fantastic! Everything came out to be $11! The minimum credit card purchase is $10, so be aware of that. Definitely come try this place out and get a delicious meal for less than $15.

Been a fan of Banh Mi Che Cali for decades. My family and I used to frequent the location off the corner of Brookhurst and Westminster for their very fresh and affordable banh mi, che, and other Vietnamese pastries. It was my first time visiting this location recently, as I never knew they opened on this end of Westminster off Bolsa. The parking was a bit tedious to find and the plaza doesn't feel all too pedestrian friendly. The little bakery does not have an organized ordering system. You basically wait in line to pay for your banh mi and have to flag staff down to pick out your che. It's absolute chaos. Nonetheless, the deals here are good. We personally enjoy the che. The staff here are generous with the amount. Absolutely love the Che Thung and Che Ba Mau from here.

YOU MAKE US SO SCARED!!! *** Health safety is the top priority *** Today, we bought 3 containers of "chè" (3 different kinds) at around 8:00 AM from Bánh Mì Chè Cali on Bolsa Avenue, near ABC Supermarket. At about 1:00 PM, after lunch, we took out the "chè" to eat for dessert, but we couldn't believe that the coconut milk had gone sour! We then had to throw away the bowl of "chè" that we had already poured the coconut milk into! We've bought from here before, but we've never encountered a situation like today. Bye bye Bánh Mì & Chè Cali! YOU MAKE US SO SCARED!!! *** Health safety is the top priority ***

The absolute best place to get banh tieu! I'm also a fan of their banh cam and chao quay. In non-fried foods, they have the best banh mi dac biet out of all the places nearby. Their che is good, but I think hien khanh is better. For value though, you can't beat their che prices. The inside is usually pretty cramped and hectic, which makes for a truly authentic Vietnamese experience. If you aren't getting elbowed while tiny old ladies yell at you, what's the point? I always come here when I visit Little Saigon.

I am so disappointed in my order today. I was craving a Vietnamese dessert Che and decided to venture in here after visiting the Abc market next-door. 4.50 for this tub of coconut milk, water down Che. It should be $2 at best. The other desserts look good. I wouldn't come back for their dessert and their banh mi is average for $6. Quick service and located in a strip mall in the heart of little viet town bolsa.

o5.o4.2o24 After our lunch, here we are for some authentic bun mi - mainly our friends. They got a bunch of food. I decided to get a 3 color dessert because that's what I usually like. Here, you need to pay first and they give you a ticket. Then you go to the drink and dessert station, give them the ticket, and someone will prepare your order. There was a minimum to use card. Anyway, I gave my ticket to one of the ladies and never got my drink. When my friend asked them, they said I needed to pay first and give them the ticket... which I already did all of that! Eh... I went back to the front to the lady who collected my money. Luckily, she still remembers me. And I told her they lost my ticket or possibly gave my order to someone else. They were able to give me a new ticket for it. It was such a chaotic experience, esp when they hardly spoke English. I don't think I'll ever go back here again, though I wanted to try how authentic the sandwiches were. The drink was also very sweet. I haven't had it for a very long time and can't remember if that's how sweet it normally is.

My family and I have been going here for years! You really can't beat the buy two, get one free deal! The sandwiches have always been consistent. We always stop by to buy them before driving down to my parents in San Diego. Pro tip is to order all the veggies on the side in order to keep the sandwich fresh for when you're ready to eat. Especially if you're ordering 12! Gotta love their little sesame balls filled with mung bean. So crunchy and not too sweet. Their pate pastry is a little on the doughy end. They could add a little more meat for the filling. The ladies who work here are quick and are great at taking specific orders on sandwiches. You have to pay first for the dessert. Get a ticket. Then hop in line to order the Che you want. The store is kept clean and the pastries and goodies are always stocked up early in the day.

I love this place! I always get the xoi gac and the banh Bo. It's so delicious and affordable, I highly recommend it.

Located in a strip mall that unabashedly takes you to Vietnam, you may need a notepad or Google Translate to jot down your order. The bread is really fresh since it's a bakery, and the freshly produced Asian mayo enhances the sandwiches even more. You can get a +/- 12 oz jar of it for $5, and if you don't speak Vietnamese well, they will bring the sauce from the refrigerator behind the sandwich prep counter and dip your sandwich in it. Prepare your sandwich order in advance since there is often a queue. I've been coming to Ambiance for a few years now, and I've never seen another white person waiting in line. Ambiance is authentic Vietnamese. Come prepared, since there is minimal English and cash only for anything under $20.

It's a pulled chicken sandwich that is absolutely delicious--honestly, it's the most unique "actual" sandwich you can get in the area. The Perfect Order: * The Build: You have to get it on Dutch Crunch bread with no tomato. * The Flavor: The Dutch Crunch is amazing, especially with the honey on it. The sandwich itself is almost like a chicken sloppy joe--it's bomb. * The Perks: I love that they still include those little caramel apple suckers with the order. It's a signature touch that I hope they never stop doing. * Rewards: Their point system is very favorable. I frequently get free drinks, chips, or discounts on my sandwiches. The Critiques: * Ingredients: Like a few other spots, this one makes me feel a bit "off" afterward. Since the meat is tossed in sauce and they add more to the bread, I suspect there might be some MSG involved. * Pricing: Things are getting expensive across the board, and I feel like most places--this one included--are overcharging by about $3. Five stars would only be achievable if the pricing was more reasonable. Final Thoughts: Despite the price and the "food coma" afterward, the #111 is too good to pass up. It's a solid four-star experience every time.

It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. I am loving this place and will be coming back. Thank you so much for the staff for making my mom feel so wonderful on her birthday. The food was amazing Services amazing. The parking is easy in a small shopping center,, we didn't even need to use Pym particles to shrink the car to fit into a spot. There is indoor and outdoor seating, so we chose outdoor seating, so we could dine in alfresco and the service was excellent. Both the main server and her assistant consistently checked in on us and made sure our drinks were filled. Service is very friendly and they basically had Spidey-sense for exactly when we needed refills. We ordered their chef special steak, which is an Argentinian grilled ribeye, but with an Italian sauce. We also ordered the shrimp, which is also a fusion of Argentinian and Italian. The flavor team-up was so good it felt like Tony Stark and Bruce Banner working together in the lab. For an appetizer, we got an empanada. This is one of the best empanadas we've had, as the crust was very airy and crispy, but not heavy and overly dense. Excellent texture and flavor,, honestly mighty enough to lift Thor's hammer tbh. Also, ordered Argentinian sausages. Excellent texture and bold flavor. It may not have a spicy kick as an Italian sausage, but quality meat and insides. Dr Strange would happily take us on a tour inside and out of this sausage with his yellow portal openers. Oh wait, we are the sausages, so guess he can't. Interestingly, enough, we didn't think that bread could be so excellent! We are big fans of French and Vietnamese style baguettes that are slightly crispy on the outside, but very light on the inside. The bread here was crispy on the outside, but also light and a little chewy on the inside, but in the best way possible. So it has its own flare and flavor. We asked, and they indeed bake this in-house, and you could definitely tell! They mentioned that they make their sandwiches with this baguette bread that is baked on premise and in-house, so we will definitely have to come back and try it again. That bread is basically the reality Infinity Stone of the menu. Excellent food, excellent service, and excellent ambience! Kinda as relaxing as chilling at the Avengers compound after a long mission.
