    Beef Banh Mi

One of the best Banh Mi sandwich shops! This spot offers so many additional offerings from sandwiches, to pre packaged boxes, drinks, to deliciously fried goodies. You will leave with a bag full and belly full! It's a casual grab and go spot. The associates are really friendly and make the sandwiches right in front of you. The bread is airy on the inside and toasted on the outside. I love the different sauces that they add to the sandwich to make it even more flavorful. They have many different filling options from cold cut, to beef, pork, and chicken. And Beef is my favorite! Plus a side of fried egg rolls. I came about an hour before the shop closed. They offer a sale on the prepackaged food: buy 2 get 1 free. There are tables inside the Kam Man super market to eat your goodies or you can shop around with sandwich in hand. Plenty of parking in the plaza parking lot. If you can't stop by this Banh Mi Ba Le in Quincy, they have other locations in Malden and Dorchester, with many more offerings!

Banh Mi Ba Le is a go-to spot for Vietnamese eats, tucked right inside Kam Man Market. It's well-known for a reason -- solid prices, fast service, and consistently tasty banh mi. We usually go for the BBQ beef banh mi, and at $8, it's a great deal. They make it fresh to order with a nice mix of veggies and a sweet mayo-like sauce that ties it all together perfectly. Super flavorful and satisfying. We've also tried the cold cut version, but weren't fans of the pâté spread -- it gave the sandwich a taste that didn't really hit for us. That said, the BBQ beef one keeps us coming back. Great option if you're in the area and want a quick, flavorful bite.

I normally go to the Dorchester location but I did not want to go through rush hour traffic to get a banh mi this morning. Growing up, my parents would always get me a banh mi from here before grocery shopping and over the years, I still get a sandwich from here every once in a while. I do enjoy the quality of food more from the Dorchester Ba Le but the banh mi from here is not half bad. The baguette does seem to always be super soggy instantly, especially the bottom, which I just skip eating. The sugar cane was good today though, I have to admit. Overall, not bad for quick eats and is convenient if you're in the Quincy area.

One of my favorite stops in Boston to load up on delicious Vietnamese goodies. Their hot food selection is amazing especially their rice noodles with marinated meat in their special fish sauce. Their fresh sugar cane juice and Vietnamese coffee is delicious as well. Plus their specialty banh mi is packed with goodies. I always recommend buying their marinated cooked meat to bring home to pair with your noodles, rice, or sandwiches. This place is such a gem !

Its second location does not have the extensive selections that its main as store but your basics are here. If you wanted anything from the main store call ahead they will bring to the Quincy store for pickup . The main plus to this location is not having to worry about parking . A definite plus.

I basically eat here on a weekly basis lol. I've been maybe 20 times over the years, but finally reviewing now! Average rating came out to a 4.4, but rounding up to a 5. This time, my partner and I ordered BBQ beef and tofu banh mi's - TASTE: 5/5 - these flavors never get old for me. I like to pair the lighter taste of tofu with the perfectly complementary flavors of pickled daikon, cilantro, spicy jalapeños, homemade mayo, and savory fish sauce. Chef's kiss! The BBQ beef is perfectly balanced, and tied with tofu for my favorite TEXTURE: 4/5 - the crunch of the baguette, along w the freshness of the veggies is too good. I could've sworn Ba Le used to offer marinated tofu in addition to the usual fried tofu? Only other note is that the baguettes can start getting stale, depending on the time of day you visit! PRICE: 5/5 - so affordable for a quick lunch or dinner. The prices have very slowly raised from $5 to ~$7 for banh mi, but ya still can't beat it SERVING SIZE: 4/5 - sometimes the baguette length varies, but the overall banh mi remains satisfying and satiating SERVICE: 4/5 - I rarely have to wait in line, and usually get my order quick! ATMOSPHERE: 4/5 - Ba Le is conveniently located inside of Kam Man and, although much smaller than the Dorchester location, gives me the same welcome feeling TAKEOUT: 4/5 - just a warning that the flaky baguette can get messy lol PARKING: 5/5 - the Kam Man parking lot is tight and often packed, but usually guaranteed a spot!

I've heard a lot of great things about the Ba Le shop in Dorchester; though, I was in Quincy and figured I'd try this shop. The staff here were not friendly. As I approached the counter, the woman shouts "what do you want!?". There were no menus so I wasn't sure which banh mi sandwiches were available. I looked into the display and asked the woman for the options. I settled on the BBQ pork as it's my go-to order at other banh mi shops! The cashier quickly demanded, "give me $6" before the woman was able to complete my order - no receipt. The banh mi bag was completely drenched in liquid (sauce inside the banh mi). The bread was no longer crispy, instead soggy. Not only was the pork difficult to chew, I could not taste the BBQ marinade.

A regular customer here until this happened and will never go back again. Got two sugar cane drink and witness how terribly & disgustingly the owner (guy) made the drink. He reused processed & waste sugar cane, not fresh one. The liquid is grayish then got darker afterward. I waste $$ for two cups of trash. Ppl be aware.

Damn the prices have gone up so much...

Well we seen someone on Instagram saying that the food was absolutely delicious…read more A Noodle dish with crayfish separated and added to the noodles with delicious sauce and it was the best noodles I've ever eaten in my life! We also seen the people on Instagram eating the coconut pancake cups shrimp with a piece of lettuce, radishes and carrots we wrapped the whole pancake inside the lettuce and added the fish sauce on top. The waiter Andy was on his game! We just loved the food and told him as we were leaving that we're coming back soon! The restaurant was decorated nicely and the decorations were high end and looked like a professional decorator did the set up and did it just enough. We live in Wareham and the drive here was well worth it! We Will B Back!!

The flavor bomb of fermented gochujang/ssamjang was missing from this version. Still good, though! Rau Muong Xao Toi (8.5/10): Awesome veggie dish. Portions are pretty large. I loved the sauce. Nice spicy kick, super savory.

I don't think the prices on their menu are justified for the big portions they serve! Yes, they give plentiful ingredients for lower than standard menu price compared to my local area. I don't go to Dorchester often, so I am not sure if the other Vietnamese restaurants within its vicinity have similar price range. But this restaurant is definitely worth checking it out as it has a decent selection to order. I had Bun Bo Hue and my friend had #75 Crab Noodle Soup with Water Spinach. Bun Bo Hue was not spicy, was on the sweeter side, but it was flavorful! They provided me a saucer of chilly oil to adjust spicy level to my liking. #75 was good as well and like I stated it had plenty ingredients (at an affordable price)! If you are looking for modern or intimate atmosphere, this is not it! If you are okay with old school look and closer to homemade food, go for this one!

We were surrounded by a lot of Vietnamese people who were all having a good time. We had the bun bo hue and the bun mam dac biet. The portion size for the price was astounding. If you like fermented seafood broths with a lot of seafood, go for the bun mam dac biet. The quantity of seafood in the latter was astounding. If you love blood cakes, you will get a ton of those in the bun bo hue. All in all, I loved going to this place and would visit again. You should give this place a visit.

The owner (whom I presume is the owner) was SUPER inviting and always has suggestions. Glad his beautiful establishment is on the south shore we need more spots like this. We ordered the pork chop rice plate and the pork rib / 3 protein pho. Now how i would describe i is a "healthier" version of the dish in taste, others may think it's a tad on the lighter/blander side for the broth compared to home cooked or other competitors. Meat was fall off the bone tender. They have a house blend fish sauce and accommodating side dips per dish. He'll let you know the best way to eat the dish if you're not sure. The rice dish, the porkchop was massive and cooked perfectly! Enjoyed it very much! My rice (i should have probably opted for the broken rice but i chose regular white rice, which I believe was older rice, a bit clumpy/hard. The side soup pairs well with the dish so i appreciate that a lot. They also brought us tea which was perfect on a rainy day! Overall I'll definitely be back. Different take, i appreciate the lighter style of viet cooking, but many probably know it for its bold flavors. Pricing is on the higher end of the spectrum but you do get your portions worth for the money. Viet food i believe should cost more compared to some of their counterpart asian cuisines! Beautiful dishes should get the spot light.
