Food wasn't great. Ordered a rice bowl with teriyaki chicken which was ok, and shrimp spring rolls. The rolls were not edible. The wrappers were very sticky and rubbery. The shrimp which looked whole on the menu were cut in half and they were tasteless. Took the rolls home, removed the wrappers and made soup to which I added more shrimp, mushrooms and zucchini plus seasoning. We were a group so we had to sit on their deck. Great, convenient option in Marin for a solid bahn mi. It is located across the street from the Civic Center, and there are a couple parking spots. There are a couple of tables to eat outside, but it is mostly a grab and go spot. To place your order you have to use one of the kiosk, and then there is an automated speaker that lets you know when your food is ready. All this is a great system when it works, but when I was there, the credit card machine reader wasn't reading and so it ended up being a longer process. I've only ever had the classic barbecue pork sandwich, which is pretty standard and delicious. My husband has also tried a lot of vermicelli bowls, which he also enjoys. Still pretty hard to pay more than $10 for a bahn mi (ends up closer to $14 with tax), but sometimes convenience wins. read more

The Bulgogi Banhmi and their Calamansi drink with boba Food: 5/5 I asked for extra pickled veggies and veggies in my sandwich and they added a very generous amount. The pickled veggies had the perfect balance of sweet, sour, and crunchiness. Good portions of meat and veggies. I don't like my drinks too sweet so I got 50% sugar and it was perfect! The right amount of sour and sweet with a hint of floralness. The boba were a tad under cooked but still had a nice bouncy chew. Highly recommend the Bulgolgi Banhmi great amount at a great price. Went here for lunch one day as felt a pang for some Vietnamese food. Unfortunately didn't hit the spot. Parking around here is pretty poor as its quite close to the main roads and there doesn't seem to be a parking lot or walkable street parking close by. Seems to be just a spot that focuses on takeaway? Ordered 3 things: grilled pork vermicelli, beef pho, and Vietnamese coffee. -Grilled pork vermicelli, pork was alright and came hot, but definitely came out of the microwave as heard lots of beeps. Vermicelli was pretty mediocre though the salad that came with it was fresh. -Beef Pho, could have been better, we requested beef on the side, seems the beef was thin cut brisket style beef, likely also microwaved before served. Broth wasn't one that was continuously boiled. Pho didn't have much of the usual fresh greens (mint, basil, lime, mung bean/sprouts -- literally 3 pieces of sprout). Rice noodles lost their chewiness and was grainy, which meant it was boiled for too long, or pre-boiled and reheated. -Vietnamese coffee, coffee came pre-mixed, seemed sort of watered down version of iced viet coffee, lacking a bit in condensed milk, sort of tasted like other milk. Orders and payment via an ipad, pick up your own food and bus your own tables. Run by Vietnamese ladies, yes. But somehow didn't taste all that great, perhaps i ordered the wrong things and should have stuck with Banh Mi? read more

I placed an order through your website and specifically selected the Petaluma location. However, the system sent my order to the San Rafael restaurant. I had no option to order by phone, so I relied on the online system. When I went to the Petaluma location to pick up the food. They informed me they did not have my order. I was told I would need to pick up the order in San Rafael. However, the location was about to close. I asked for the address, but the attendant refused to send it to my phone and instead told me to write it down myself. Both restaurants were close to closing at this time. The attendant then informed me that they would not wait for me and would not issue a refund. Both the attendant and one of the owners were present during this conversation. I drove to San Rafael and arrived with five minutes to spare, but the restaurant was already closed. After some time, they eventually opened the door, but the experience was extremely frustrating. The food was disappointing, and the service in the Petaluma location was unacceptable. I will not comeback to either locations. As i said the food was barely eatable. read more
