We were excited to pick up the cake for our daughter's 1st birthday. I wrote her an email to address why we were disappointed with the way the decoration turned out. We sent her the picture and asked them to make the cake like the picture. We didn't expect the cake to be 100% the same however we also didn't expect the cake to have an angry unicorn. Every single one of our guests notice the uniform looked angry compared to the picture we've sent her. Bani bakes beautifully delicious cakes! My mother loves sunflowers. As such, for her birthday, I sought out inspiration for sunflower cakes. I came across a pic of two-tiered light blue cake with rope trim, sunflowers cascading down the side. I re-imagined it with pearl trim instead of rope, cuz my mom's extra like that :-D. Plus, it was New Year's and she has this tradition of surrounding herself with round things. Bani produced the most gorgeous cake! I am quite disappointed with how this place turned out despite all the positive reviews here... This review is only for my experience for the cake testing for our potential wedding cake vendor. We booked an appointment to come in and taste test some flavors of the cake batter and cream. Cake batters: chocolate, red velvet, lemon blueberry, funfetti, hazelnut, cookies & cream, marble, and strawberry Cake creams: tiramisu, vanilla, cappuccino, pineapple, whip, strawberry, mango, and buttercream When we entered in, there was no staff at the counter. We rang the bell and one of the workers came to provide us the cake tasting kit. The presentation was just OK, it was just a small sample of each cake and cream in individual sheets. Some of the cakes were actually already broken up and all the sizes of the cakes were different sizes. I think the bakery just gives us leftovers from prior cakes, which is fine, but the quality still was not there. All the cake batters tasted like they were just refrigerated and barely thawed. The consistently was very dense and dry. For a 2 person, $28 tasting it was definitely not a great deal - it was pretty hard to finish all the cakes. I think the most disappointing part for us was that we didn't believe Bani Bakery provided us their best cakes/leave us their best impression, which matters a lot to us. Needless to say, we are likely not deciding to move forward with Bani Bakery as our wedding cake vendor. read more

She responded the next day and told me she's able to make two dozen cake pops for me despite the short notice. I was a little hesitant but faithful that the cake pops would come out well by looking at the pictures posted on here. Bani did a fantastic job recreating a Pinterest image. Maybe even a bit better! If I can give Bani 1000 stars I would. What she did for me today last min was the best customer service I have ever got! Today my brother was responsible for picking up a 2 tier cake for my niece's party. He decided to run errands after picking the cake which was a bad idea in the first place. The cake ended up sliding around in the car so I told him to drive the cake to the closest fridge and I was going to come and pick it up with another person. I picked up the cake and it was pretty messed up so I panic called Bani to see if she can fix it. She told me to bring it in and she will do her best. On route to her shop, the cake tipped over but I was able to catch it. I was sooooooooo sad and didn't know how it was going to be fixed. I guessed since my brother was driving around with it for 2 hours and it started melting. At the end of the day, Bani was able to perform a miracle and save the cake. I am so grateful for her staying after her closing time to fix the disaster. It fit nicely with our theme. THANK YOU!!! I'm very disappointed with Bani Bakery. I got my daughter a birthday cake to celebrate her birthday the same day as Mother's Day. These are the things that went wrong: 1. Morphle and Lila figurines don't look in the characters. They're too tall and skinny instead of being rounder. But this is minor issue. 2. We found a pubic hair embedded in the cake. This is unsanitary and filthy to leave hair of any kind someone's cake. Pubic hair made me think they didn't wash their hands. Or they have a disgruntled staff member. See photos below. 3. They staff don't wear mask when baking in close proximity to each other. They don't wear hair net. After finding hair in the cake, we had to choice but to dump the whole cake in the trash. I'm sorry I paid $135 for a cake that I can't eat. I sent Bani an email and gave her store a phone call. I still haven't heard back from them. It's shocking that they think it's ok to not respond or call to apologize. read more

Ordered a birthday cake last minute on a Friday for a pick up on Sunday. Staff was super nice to make time for it. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding and my cake came with a whipped cream based frosting. I specifically request buttercream which is significantly sweeter and has a completely different consistency. There was also the almond flavor of the cake which had actual nuts in it verses being the more traditional batter with almond extract. I did not ask about the almond flavor so I consider that more my fault for not clarifying but I was pretty disappointed with the frosting being incorrect.
