Quality of care 5/5 Each of the three facilities front desk employees and MRI Specialists were fantastic, warm welcomes and helpful. The Technician during this visit gets my Kudos for working with me and my Phobia! Office environment 5/5 Clean, organized, well run! Scheduling 0/5 They fell well short of good patient care. The scheduling folks are not located at any of the MRI locations. They are in some centralized office who are in need of training. First error sent me to a 2D machine and was not what my doctor ordered. They canceled and rescheduled me a week out. Then several more locations the last in this review was the correct one. After I posted this review I received a request to complete their survey. I've been a customer for years for more common services like X-rays but never a survey. The power of Yelp reviews. I believe I post fair reviews calling balls and strikes when appropriate. This was one of those times. Wishing everyone good health-SYOY.

My review is going to encompass the experience I had with SimonMed as a whole, which was less than…read moreacceptable. My gastroenterologist scheduled a CT scan with and without contrast, with oral contrast as well. Joy! I hate having CT scans done because of the dye...and the oral contrast always upsets my stomach. They put sorbitol in that stuff and I have a sensitivity to sugar alcohols. Anyway, when I scheduled the appointment, they told me to arrive 15-minutes before my appointment, bring my insurance card and ID and to drink 32oz of water within one hour of the procedure. I received a confirmation phone call the night before the procedure once again informing me to arrive 15 min. prior to the scheduled appointment time. Also, when I scheduled the appointment, the agent I spoke with created a new SimonMed account for me instead of using my existing one. My existing account is under an old email address and because the lady set up a new account with my new email address, it won't let me change the email address on the old account. It also won't let me log into the new account. I called and no one seems to know how to fix this. One agent told me that they sent a request to have the accounts merged, however that never happened. Super frustrating! When I arrived at the facility, the lady behind the counter said, "Were you aware that you needed to be here one hour before your scheduled appointment time?" I explained that the scheduling department (based in India) told me numerous times that it was 15 min. Then, she said the CT scan was going to be over $470. I had called my insurance company prior to the appointment and my insurance company said it was going to be $160-$170. I explained this and the assistant said she'd resubmit it to see. After about 10 min. the bill was somehow reduced to $169 but then they charge a 3% credit card fee, which I found to be ridiculous for a medical facility to do this. As far as the care quality goes, it was just ok. The technician was super nice but she missed my vein when doing my IV and then dug around for a little while with no success...then she restuck me in almost the same spot, which was a little on the painful side. I hope this is the last time I have to have a CT scan and the last time I have to deal with SimonMed. The quality of service regarding scheduling has really gone down hill and the insurance billing seems to be a big question mark. Why was I going to be charged over $400 at first? If I didn't question it, I would've been on the hook for this. I bet they would've never sent the claim knowing they over charged and would've kept my money.

Upon checking in I received two texts, one confirming my appointment (Why?!), and the second also confirming an appt, to arrive 15 min prior, and that payment may be due. Um, did all that. Forms to fill out. Television sitcom playing with medical related commercials. Maybe a couple dozen chairs of which there are about 7 or 8 clients waiting. And before I can finish typing those last two sentences a door to my left opens and my name is called. I gather my loot and hustle back to the technician and ask what direction. He points the way and asks if I'm wearing a bra. Apparently the no bra plan has a quicker turn around, fwiw. Young man directs me to stand in specific location and shares the tip that the closer I stand to the platform the better the xray results. Well let's get this done. The first one done and now a turn to my right and hold the bar above head -he says no swinging. Yes, I asked. Seems he's been told the same thing. One more deept breath -and hold it, and I am done. Fairly brief, and totally pain free and elevated blood pressure free visit.

The waiting room is pristine and spacious with comfortable seating. The entire process is personable and professional. The changing rooms provide the appropriate privacy and are equipped with deodorant and wipes. As expected lockers are available to store your personal belongings. The lockers themselves are generous in size but what makes them unique are the celebrity names you can choose from. This is a nice whimsical touch and you will definitely not forget which locker is yours! Online booking is available but I appreciate the option to book my next years appointment upon check out and results are generally received within a few short days. I live in Mesa so the facility is not necessarily convenient to where I live but it's definitely worth the trip over.

So they rescheduled me for a different location today again. When I gave the technician my implant card from Abbott, they told me I needed a 1.5 MRI machine which they did not have. So I had to reshedule again for a different location on a different day. They do not have their act together at all other than the technicians are great.

The office mgr at this location has a lot to learn about customer/patient care. If this were my clinic, she'd be gone. The other issue is that I asked them to print out the films on a cd and mail it to my neurosurgeons office in Phoenix! Not only did the surgeon never receive it, but when I called advanced to see if they sent it out, they said there was no date indicating when it was sent, just says "mailed." Now I know usps has been slow, but it doesn't take 15 days to mail a cd from Mesa to Phoenix! THIS OFFICE IS COMPLETELY INEPT AT ANYTHING. There are plenty other radiographic places to go; why settle for an office that just doesn't care. Definitely will never be going back there.

After getting checked in for a possible broken elbow, vitals were taken and MD examined. We were told the xray tech was in with someone and we would be next. We sat there for over an hour (I can't imagine one set of X-rays took an hour). X-rays were finally taken in less than 5 mins. Then after sitting another 30 mins, I asked how long it would be until someone could look at the xray. I was told "this is the part that takes a while" and that I "was lucky they were still on the day schedule because the night time wait time can be up to 4 hours." We waited about 20-30 mins then asked again how long it would be. They couldn't give me a TAT so we got up and left. We were there for over 2.5 hours to have 3 X-rays taken. And who knows how much longer it would have taken to have someone read the X-rays. I don't believe there were a large number of patients there at the time. The parking lot only had a few cars, waiting room was empty and the nurses desk outside the exam room had the same nurses/techs/MDs sitting there our entire wait. Their website says little to no wait. How healthcare should be. That was not my experience at all.
