We had the Braised Pork Belly Donbari, Truffle Ramen, & Katsu (Chicken) Cutlet w/Hibachi fried rice add on (not pictured). Overall, everything was just Meh. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly good either. I come here frequently and it hits every time, I think I came on an off day only once. During the week it's pretty calm which is great for a quick bite, I went as a group of three and we were out in 40 minutes on a simple Monday. The take out is also fresh and convenient as well. The staff is always nice and efficient even when it gets busy (typically weekend nights). My original review was my first time at Yasuo, and since then, I cannot say I've had as quality of an experience. I've tried ordering takeout twice, the second time giving them the benefit of the doubt, but was unfortunately disappointed on both occasions. During the first, the employee taking my order was terse and unfriendly, and actually put the phone down and left me hanging on the call for at least five minutes after asking a question about one of their menu items. This led me to eventually having to hang up. I called again and just ordered; after picking up and trying our food, my family had mutually agreed that it wasn't very fresh. During the second, after a long day of work, I ordered online for delivery from Yasuo. I try to give grace to workers in food because I know it's not easy, but it took over an hour to get my food after an expected 25 minutes listed on the delivery. I tried calling in for updates twice after the 25 minutes passed, even asking for some kind of discount or accommodation once it hit the 1 hour mark, but was met with no info but "it should be coming". I absolutely love supporting small businesses, but I believe good customer service is an integral piece in any successful restaurant. If they had just communicated the first time that they were busy or the second time that my order would take longer than expected, I wouldn't have been upset at all! I'd love to dine here again if they improve on some of these elements, but for now I sadly would not recommend! read more

This could be a new hidden gem within the 5 points area. Yasuo Ramen and Sushi completely surprised me. I drove by it the other day recently noticing the grand opening out front. Today after work I decided to order the Yasuo Tonkotu and the Maki Combo. The moment I opened the bowl for my ramen, my mouth started to instantly water. The portion is great. I'm a big guy, so I get annoyed when I sometimes get one cut of pork in my ramen. So needless to say I was happy when I saw not one, but THREE cuts of delicious juicy pork in my bowl. The broth (which came in a seperate container) was nice and hot, and once I poured it in to my ramen bowl, the aroma flooded my nostrils. Taking my first bite, I instantly knew this place was special. The sushi!? Beautiful. Amazing taste and amazing cuts. I can't wait to try more dishes from here both at home and in person!! We were attended promptly and we were starving so this was very much appreciated. We started off with some appetizers. We got the edamame and the beef negimaki. The edamame was overly salty. If you're ordering I would mention that you want them lightly salted. However, the beef negimaki could've used a little more flavoring. Was my first time trying it and wouldn't say it was a favorite of mine. We also shared some sushi rolls. The dynamite and spicy crunchy tuna were delicious. For entree, I was craving ramen and this restaurant is known it so I decided to give it a try. I got the Miso Ramen and I did not like it at all. I actually took a couple bites and that was all I could have. I left almost the entire bowl. The broth was tasteless and the meat was overcooked. This spot is wonderful!!! I'm glad that I was able to patron this establishment because it's definitely a hidden gem that will take off soon. The appetizers were so satisfying that I could have eaten that alone and be content. The chicken was seasoned well and filled with flavor. Where do I begin? I LOVEEEEEEE this restaurant. From the service to the food, it was such a positive experience. It is new to the area so I'm sure the reviews will come piling in soon enough. They've been open for takeout for a while and seem to be racking up those orders but as of the last 2 weeks or so they are officially open for dine in(with a complimentary beer so why not right?). I ordered the scallion pancakes, black garlic ramen, and angry dragon roll. The pancakes were yummy crispy and light--not covered in oil which is a plus for me. The black garlic ramen was also delicious. I would've like my noodles to be a bit more firm but the broth, boiled egg, and chicken were just packed with flavor. I didn't really know what to expect with the black garlic but im pretty sure they nailed it! And finally, the angry dragon roll-- it was fresh, had bonus pieces of real crab meat (which we know can be rare!) and had such a great sauce pairing. I mean as you can tell, I really enjoyed this experience. Now I must talk about the service because I was treated so well. The owner was the main person that was helping me and he was so friendly and kind-- constantly making sure I was enjoying the food and the atmosphere. 11/30/22 This place was recommended by my friend so we decided to go for a dinner. We ordered Shoyu Ramen, Volcano Roll, Shrimp Tempura and Shumai. Shoyu Ramen is very disappointing if you know what a good ramen taste like. Broth is just a chicken stock with soy sauce. Although the egg is cooked right, the chashu pork is very bland. Volcano Roll and Shrimp Tempura is good. The shumai is what you buy in grocery and steam cooked. Service is very quick, the plates will be removed as fast as they were served with the dish that goes with it. We are in the middle of a conversation and the server's arm went in the middle of the table and reached into the empty plates on the other side past in front of our faces without saying anything. We are not even done with appetizer, the server even took the chopsticks of my friend. Mind you, we are the only people sitting there and it feels like they want you to leave once you are done. TL:DR: Don't come here for ramen. Sushi is okay Got takeout and got the Yasuo ramen. This ramen was pretty sad. The pork was pretty dry. It was a very lean cut too. No flame sears on pork. Broth had a slight porky flavor but was not very rich or strongly flavored beyond that. The egg was not marinated at all (ajitsuke tamago), just a normal soft boil. Portions were average. Generally a subpar bowl but the above average price makes this a terrible deal. There plenty of fantastic ramen at ~15 a bowl and they are asking 15-23. Would give this a 2 star. For sushi, I got the 3 combo maki roll and the 4 nigiri sushi appetizer. Fish was fresh, but quality was average. Cuts were not particularly fatty or had strong flavor.
