3.5 . Saw the combos as a good way to try their 生煎包 since ive seen so many IG reels on it. They have $15-16 combos on the menu. I chose C which was curry beef vermicelli & 4 sheng jin baos. I like the baos. It had a lot of juice, but it was less than Luke warm temperature. The curry beef vermicelli was not the creamy curry type. There was 4 slices of beef and a smaller than expected portion of glass noodles (similar to ones used in jap chae). The broth flavor was lack luster. It seemed like they primarily used curry powder to make it "curry" flavor without any depth. Overall, the baos were good, but i would skip the curry noodle soup since it was not satisfying unfortunately

Newly opened. This place is located in 99Ranch's new food court, in the basement. This stall is behind the escalators. Super Good!... sometimes. The first time I had their handmade Sheng Jian Bao (pan-fried soup buns) are some of the best I've had. Inside is super juicy, more than other places. Also not too salty like some other places. Tasted very homestyle which is good. Second time, not so good. Unfortunately this place has a problem keeping up with orders. So it is starting to taste like they are cutting corners to speed up the cooking process. The first time I had the Pan Bao, they were the best I've had! Super awesome. Five stars! But second time, they tasted like they were re-cooked. There's a chewy texture now. The bottom is super hard. Not good! 2-3 stars only. Still juicy but not as juicy as the first time. The place in the other mall is still number #1. Chicken leg is over cooked, or re-cooked too much. Didn't have much flavor to it. I would pass. But if you like big, it was super duper huge. Must be on steroids. The chicken just comes with noodles. Get yourself a combo meal for the best deal. Wonton soup was good. Each mini wonton had a tiny whole shrimp in each. For one large bowl, you get quite a lot of them. Some shredded seaweed in the soup gives it flavor and texture. In a small window, off to the side, you can watch ladies making and filling the soup buns. After ordering, you get a buzzer that tells you when your food is ready. Since this is in a food court, there is lots of seating. But maybe be hard to find at popular times.

Got the combo B or C. 4 Bao's + duck vermicelli noodle soup. Noodles were sticky and OK but lots of duck include liver. Broth was OK. Fair value at $16 for the 4 Bao's and noodles esp since the 4 Bao's are $10 already. Friendly staff as usual.

Located in the food court of 99 ranch, pleasantly surprised how good their sheng jian bao was. Def worth getting

This new place is I side of the 99 Ranch supermarket's downstairs food court. The food was good with decent prices. I ordered a wonton soup and noodle combo for about $15. The cashier was very friendly. There's seating right next to the business. I'm curious to try other dishes on their menu.

It was delicious--especially those pan-fried buns; they were absolutely bursting with juice. It's definitely worth checking out!

The staff wanted my wife to sit at an angle to the table; so that they could pass through. The seafood itself was solid traditional Cantonese fare with fresh lobster tanks, steamed fish, and classic banquet-style dishes. The atmosphere felt colorful authentic Hong Kong banquet hall energy. However, some of their pricing was completely out of whack. Mother's Day premium for sure which is understandable, but some dishes were simply excessively expensive for what was delivered. For example, our two lobsters, while fresh, were missing that smoky "wok hei" flavor that great Cantonese kitchens are known for. It lacked the depth, aroma, and richness one expects from a proper high-heat wok preparation. A few items felt priced more for Guide Michelin luxury dining than a Flushing seafood hall. This said, the service was efficient and professional; changing plates all the time. So a high level of attention above the usual Cantonese restaurant. Overall, decent food in and an authentic Hong Kong style restaurant that targets special family gatherings, but be prepared, both the crowds and the bill can become overwhelming very quickly. I paid more than $400 for three people. But we had a Tiger Fish which is $50 per pound.

I have so many reasons to believe that Emperor is truly the reincarnation of the restaurant...just a little rusty. I've only come here for dim sum and I'm still surprised it doesn't get even half of the insane volume that nearby dim sum restaurants get, especially with how much closer they are to Roosevelt Ave. I have to say that the dim sum here is slightly better than most locations in the core downtown area, both in presentation and taste. No cart ladies, just a paper and pencil ordering system. The other diners that I usually encounter seem to strike me as locals, which is becoming harder to find these days. Prices are slightly more expensive than the other places, which is probably a factor as to why there aren't as many customers. The other reason is probably the subpar customer service here, which I've encountered on a number of recent visits. There are so many workers here, but none of them seem to have any good grasp of what customer service is. For example, I've had the waiter hover over me as I was gathering cash for my bill and snatched it the moment I placed the money down, also demanding at least 18% (again, for subpar service). Also, if you complain to them about your food, even if you find a hair, they will not do anything about it. The food quality is slightly above most of the dim sum places, but also bear in mind the hit-or-miss service you'll get, which the latter can be super frustrating.

Entering the restaurant and scaling the steps, you are greeting with a very large restaurant filled with circular tables with a large screen on the far wall. My friends and I happened to watch the Fifa world cup here and ppl went wild with every goal/attempted goal. Service is good as long as you are good at getting the attention of staff walking by. We came during the game so place was a bit rowdy but I can't imagine it would be like that any other time. Other than that, food was decent. We got the typical fried rice shao Mai, and the works.

The restaurant is partitioned up into several different rooms where they will push carts in and out of the rooms themselves. I was seated in some place that almost looked like a back room, but it was still decorated in the dim sum restaurant kind of theme. Service itself was pretty consistent. We didn't have to wait too long to get any of the desired dishes that we wanted. Ambience: I think your typical staple dim sum restaurant ambiance was here. Definitely felt very conversational with family. Was not too quiet or too loud. Food: I don't think that the dim sum here was that good. It didn't wow me as much as I was expecting it to. I initially saw this on one of the Michelin Guide website, and I was expecting a little more out of this place. Of all the places that I've had dim sum at, I just feel like this was more okay rather than anything special. For example the shumai didn't have that "juicy bite" kind of feel that you usually get. Again, nothing about this restaurant was bad per se, but I just felt like this was in the lower tier of all the dim sum places that I've had. I think for this reason, it gets a 3/5 for me.

We walked into a grand interior with chandeliers, spacious seating, and a more formal atmosphere compared to smaller dim sum spots. The setup feels designed for larger gatherings, family meals, and celebrations rather than a quick casual stop, and the room has a polished, traditional energy that fits the style of the food being served. The dim sum experience is the main highlight. The carts moving through the dining room make it easy to see the dishes before choosing, and there is a wide variety of options ranging from classics like siu mai, har gow, and rice rolls to more unique dishes. The siu mai stood out because of the larger size and generous filling, while the egg tarts had a flaky crust and smooth custard center that made them a solid choice for finishing the meal. The mango sago offered a lighter, refreshing contrast to the richer dim sum items. The food comes out hot, and the cart service adds to the traditional dim sum atmosphere, keeping the meal interactive and engaging as dishes pass by. One thing we appreciated about Royal Queen is the overall variety. It is the type of place where everyone can find something they enjoy because the menu covers steamed items, fried dishes, noodles, meats, and desserts. The portions are also better suited for sharing, so it works well when coming with a group and ordering multiple dishes for the table. The service style is fast-paced and typical of a busy dim sum restaurant. The carts come around frequently, so dishes can arrive quickly once you are seated. Since the restaurant is large and often used for events, the dining room can feel busy and crowded during peak hours. Finding the entrance can also be a little confusing since it is located inside the mall rather than directly from the street. Royal Queen is a solid option for traditional dim sum in Flushing. The combination of the large selection, cart service, and spacious banquet-style setting makes it a good choice for group meals or anyone looking for a classic dim sum experience. It may not be the most intimate restaurant, but it delivers the full dim sum atmosphere with plenty of choices.

We decided to try last minute, we have a group of 30ppl, takes about 3-4 big tables They took our reservation last minute. Our family ordered a lot.
